This is great advice. I recently finished my first pair and I'm definitely going to implement the techniques in this video on my second pair. Specially the one about sanding the shoes since I didn't do that for my first pair. Again, great advice, great video.
Appreciate u putting this video out. Thanks a bunch. Can't wait 4 ur next project. Also i feel like i ask 4 a video like this from u. Cause u helped me out with sanding issues & u gave me good advise. Thanks again
Yeah, I was wondering why my paint wasn’t setting nicely on the shoe, so yes I will be prepping my shoe. Do you have any videos on how to prep Vans fabric?
Since watch your videos last few days I am now ready to do my first pair never knew about the sanding or acetone as I brought the Angelus Paint Leather Preparer And Deglazer along with the paints (I sold A kidney 4 it all 😂) I really want to try customisation with iron on transfer paper do u have any tips on sealer for this? Thank you ❤
@thatmadartist My Daughters Mother Birthday is on the 8th and I'm using Converse and I know I don't need to do the same prep work as a Air Force One's so yes this help alot!
I usually wait about a day, but only because I usually take a break after finishing the artwork itself. I think it will be safe to clearcoat once you are certain the paint is completely dry. If you put down thin coats of paint this should be easy to tell, but if you put the paint down thick then it may feel dry on the surface, but the paint below the surface may not be completely dry. If you are uncertain, give your work one or two passes with a hairdryer just to be safe, then wait for the surface of the shoe/paint to return to room temperature before adding your finisher! (I always recommend at least 2 coats of finisher, but no more than 4) 😁 hope that's helpful!
I'd say press lightly! Especially over the stitches to avoid fraying! I think consistency in your surface buffing is more important than strength in this department. I have seen some artists don't mind really scratching up the leather, but I go on the cautious side and press lightly!
Haha no way! I see you had the same idea! If you look carefully you'll see mine are quite different (no orange, has white swooshes, no dyed sock liner). We are obviously both fans of the aquamarine revenge CS skin 😝 your customs are VERY clean by the way, really impressed!

A question, after painting a sneaker how long do you wait to put the finisher on it?

How hard do you press the sandpaper on the sneaker or just gently sanded?

Bro, where did you get my sneakers for your avatar? 😳😳😳😳

@@thatmadartistOf course, I noticed that they were a little different, but damn, how surprised I was 😅
