Awesome!!! To answer your question about why Kyurem has the ice type, it’s meant to represent Wuji. Wuji is circle that has no Yin or Yang. It’s meant to feel cold and empty
There's mutiple reasons actually (all complementary to each other) The first one being that Kyurem's desing is partly inspired by Comets, which are made of "dirty ice" or in other words balls of Ice that also have some other stuff (could be metals, minerals, dust, whatever) The Tao Trio also has an Energy theme (hence why some peoplecall it the Energy Trio). Zekrom and Reshiram both have giant energy generators stucked down their asses, and Kyurem has a generator of "Cold Energy" (ignore the fact that that makes no sense, just go with it, Pokemon magic). They generate a crapton of Heat, so Kyurem being the counterweight generates a crapton of cold. Kyurem is also based on Lucifer, so the Ice Type is fitting. Lucifer was imprisioned in Ice at the lowest point of hell due to being the farthest possible away from God Plus Wuji like you said. Yin and Yang represent everything, all contraries and dualities. By stripping both from the circle, it's left empty. When the Original Dragon was split, all of the power was divided between Zek and Resh, and Kyurem was completely devoid of everything. It became cold both literally and metaphorically. No energy left, no morals left, nothing, just an empty aphatetic husk.
I have a few nitpicks to bring some food for thought: 1. Why does Ray have a hisuian Zoroark? The easiest fix for this would be to have some dialouge about how a relative that went to Hisui gifted it to him 2. Being able to choose your dragon would make it feel less special, instead one of the dragons should choose you based on if the dialogue choices you made throughout the game leaned towards truth or ideals Besides that, I think this is a spectacular concept for a legends unova game
I love this version of Kyurem and the overall plot and story. There's just one slight detail I would change in oversight. Alden should have the God Stone instead, which splits into both Orbs after Rei's decision, it reacts to the Harmonia. It shows that, despite of the protag doing the Dragon Master trials, Rei has the heart to be gifted one naturally as well. Like N said, all chemical reactions enable change. Rei's emotional turmoil would be the catalyst for the original split. He came to a region seeking unity, but he only brought despair and mistrust. His truth became his ideal. Bad change. While with the protag, their ideal of being the best made them realize the truth about Alleos importance. Good change. Like how Victini and Kyurem both bring luck and doom, the Galarians also brought that with their so proclaimed "heroes".
I suggest that during the campaign you have to make decisions that symbolize either truth or ideals and the legendary you get is the one that best suits your choices instead of just selecting one
Its always a really fun thing to see people's view of what they think the OG dragon looks like When i challenged to draw a design for the Original Dragon, instead of emphasizing traits from each of the 3, I more so or less put together the elements/parts of Kyurem gains when it goes into Black and/or White Kyurem and emphasize those. While still including some of the Ice parts of Kyurem but as Crystals. Eyes are one Red & one Blue and in the head has that Yellow thing that kyurem has. Man, It was a fun challenge As for the Energy color, at 1st it was also yellow but in the end I went with Blue (kinda sky blueish) as its kinda the color all of the 3 are close to, I know Reshiram is orange but its signature move is Blue Flare so it make sense for me. And someone told me that since Team Plasma's signature color is Blue, so it kinda works in that sense too For its Typing and gimmick of its own, I say its Pure Dragon! BUT when it uses one of its signature moves, its gains that type. Is something i would guess that could happen
I cannot like this video enough times. I grew up on Gen 5, and the Unova games have always maintained an amazingly special place in my heart. This video drew exactly what I always wanted to see for the Original Dragon, and I am so happy with your project!
Yellow as the main color is actually a great pick Yes, it fits with Kyurem's horn and eyes. But it also fits with the Yellow Dragon. Kyurem is meant to be the Yellow Dragon that represents the Center, one of the 5 cardinals directions represented by the 4 Symbols. The other 4 (North, East, South, West) are represented by the Forces of Nature's Therian Forms (which, fun fact, each one also represents an aspect of Yin and Yang) Yellow is also the color they seem to preffer for "Godlike" Pokemon (Arceus and Ultra Necrozma), and the Original Dragon was clearly meant to be on that level when it was introduced. There's a crapton of details that point in that direction, there's even hints at a possible connection to the Creation Trio (both in B2W2 and LA).
Yellow (or at least yellowish orange) is also incorporated into the primal forms of the 3 Hoenn legends, it definitely is the “godlike” color choice for legendary Pokémon

No Ice is the Main Power of the Original Dragon. Kyurem cant control the Amount of Ice Power that resides within and the Pokedex Entries say that the Fusions can use both Fire/Electric AND Ice.
@@pixelpiekser This is the first time I've ever seen anyone give this interpretation But it actually makes sense Imo the Original Dragon probably had mastery over energy (thus how Zek/Resh ended up with Electric/Fire and their giant generator tails), so that's why Kyurem is Ice. Having high tier Dynamokinesis would mean it can not only generate a lot of energy, but absorb it too. Being able to steal the energy of other things would explain the Ice Type, as Cold is the absence of Heat (tho the Dex mentions Kyurem can generate frezzing/cold energy, but that can be explained with "it's fiction bro" lol)
@@djt08031996 I feel like it should be a combination of Teravolt/Turboblaze + STAB on Ice, Fire and Electric After all, it would be getting weaker if it lost the STAB to its Signature Moves' Types We already have some busted 2-in-1 Abilities, like the Legendary Bikes effectively having a Pseudo-Beast Boost + Drough or Electric Surge
I think after the last battle with Ray, Prof. Cedar would scold him about his method of bringing unity. It cannot be done in one fell swoop by a person using force and fear. It takes all people coming together over time with patience, trust, and hope, which is both true and ideal. That is why they decided to let the Alyosians rebuild before they decide to unite with them. Ray would still be indignant.

Your concepts and drawings are so good! The whole series has been great. The story is amazing too, I hope they do adapt something like this. If constructive criticism is anything for you - you sound like you're rushing to say your piece. Listen back and find the amount of times that you make a tutting sound as you begin to start a new sentence, it's a lot 😂 it sounds like it's because you've failed to take an adequate breath before starting the sentence or during the previous sentence, and that tutting sound is very harsh on the ears because of it - I tried turning down the volume but I've ended up having to skip to the ends of some drawings to avoid the sudden spikes in volume and missed a lot of your lore as a result 😅. Spell check is a life saver too. Especially for your there, their and they're instances, which can be easily missed.

I think giving it Fire/Electric type, and have an ability that gives it Dragon Stab. I think the idea of a "king" of dragons is cool and making 100% Kyurem basically strong against all dragons but unlike other Dragon types, it's not weak to those dragons
How about it being Dragon and both fire/electric secondary. Give it an ability like Morpeko's Aura wheel but instead it replaces it's secondary typing and the signature move changes as well.

I love the crown of feathers on the original dragon. It gives it a touch of native American influence kinda like braviary, and I just think that's really cool visually and thematacly for the unova reigion
One thing I was thinking, The chandelure line, instead of ending with chandelureit ends with lampent, And the first evo is the leaked Litqick pre-evolution, the little flame lookin guy.
I hated and loved watching this video because your story and designs are amazing and Kyurem 100% looks so amazing but now that makes me scared that now that I've seen this and my standard for the Pokemon has been brought up too high and I won't like the design GameFreak will come up with.
I personally think that this Original Dragon Pokémon should be Dragon/Normal. Main reason for having the Normal type: the Normal type is the type that Tri-Attack has, and Tri-Attack is supposed to represent all three of Ice, Fire, and Electric, with a small chance to cause burn, paralysis, or freezing status. This Pokémon's signature move could be a much stronger version of Tri-Attack with high base power and slightly increased chance of status. My second reason is that this is the *original* Dragon. The template that all other Dragon-types are based on, according to their creation by Arceus. Therefore, just as Arceus is itself Normal type, the original Dragon could be part Normal to show that it is a completed whole, a melding together of elements, made pure. Fairy may be a strong type, but Dragon/Normal is much more thematically fitting.
Will you ever do a Legends game for other regions as well... if so... can you do Johto next... since i feel like that would be a perfect region for a Legends game anyways (Legends Celebi). This series was enjoyable.
Maybe this Beartic could even be like a Convergent Form to Ursaluna. Ursaluna has a Moon Symbol on its Head so the Beartic Evolution could have a Sun and Parts of Black Skin on its Body to refference Polar Bears having Black Skin under their White Fur to absorb the Sun Light
I think the Kyurem form would definitely need an ability that gives it better power for the STABs of all the pokemon it encompasses but that would definitely make it too broken in game. Maybe what it needs is an ability that choses a random weather effect every time it is switched in between sun, rain, and snowstorm, and then it gains resistances to the type boosted by the weather as well as a move that changes type depending on the weather. It would be something like Castform essentially, except it does not get sandstorm advantages.
That is so awesome, but I feel like an additional affct to kyurem 100 complete forms elemental Master signature ability, is that it can also prevent it from being burnt paralyzed of Frozen, like it actually has those types, maybe I went too far
What if the comet kyurem rode was actually a part of it's body? Like it could curl up into a ball raising it's defense so that it could survive the harsh conditions of space if it chose to venture out to different planets. It's ability would function like Form Change or Shields Down and have the Dragon/Rock or Dragon/Steel typing. Once they split, the armor (extremely weakened) turns into a different pokemon entirely (the rock or steel becomes a weak ice).This is kinda my unique approach to the lore

Its very cool but I wish you made the original dragon/100% kyurem look more natural than just a fusion of both. Since hes meant to be the og/pure dragon, that was then split into these unnatural forms.
the problem of all "perfect" Kyurem is the overdesign, usually pokémon don't use that much Overdesined Pokémon and when they try... well... "Almighty Sinnoh" and I love when artits use golden color to represent this "godly" Dragon And I would made an strange choice of typing, Dragon/Normal! the three types together is just energy, balance and so the "Normal" but with a ability that change it to Fire/Ice or Electric or a move with this 3 types like Flying Press
I love the story I just have one problem. Team power and level scaling. A fair amount of the teams are way to powerful for lower levels which wouldn’t make sense as the characters just got there. they deal with 3 fully evolved Pokémon in the first trial compared to Legends Arceus where they were pre evolutions. I assume there wasn’t much thought put into balancing because it’s just a concept and not becoming a game.
Maybe pokemon legends Genesect... The pokemon legends series should enable access to pokemon you could not catch normally in game and required an event. You should be able to catch victini, meloetta, and genesect in that game...
Also, after beating the main quest, can you get a Scorbunny and Sobble as Gifts, since Galar is associated with this story and Sinistea and Milcery’s lines are a part of Pepper’s team?
I would replace the Carocosta ride pokemon with a Basculegion or a Red Gyarados. The fossil isn't known until modern times. No fossils at all. Everything else is good.
since unova is based off of New York, and New York used to be called New Amsterdam, you should make your rival Dutch, or the protagonist Dutch and the rival British. the British and the Dutch were rivals at the time.
That's stated in the game's Dex too, ever since all the way back in BW Kyurem produces "freezing energy" inside of its body, it leaks and freezes itself. But there was some new info added in SwSh that recontextualizes this. The new Dex entry says that Kyurem is actually freezing itself to stabilize its cellular structure, aswell as stating that freezing itself keeps its powers bound (a power which far exceeds Zekrom's and Reshiram's)
I think that it would have to have a third type, I like the idea of having an ability that gives it stab on the other 2 types, but to truly do it Justice it needs 3 types
This whole thing is crazy but its missing something... Each area you can go to in legends arceus has one boss and one ridable Pokémon including the final boss depending on if you pick the diamond or pearl clan when your banned from the village you fight an origin form... Maybe you could make a white clan and black clan that would help with your story. Another idea is that you could do the 100% treatment and force the player to complete the pokedex before you fight the100%form of kyurem
One last thing I'm sorry it took you this long to read everything but I hope you at least put some thought in these ideas "this shouldve been the first message" I know I'm sorry

I hated and loved watching this video because your story and designs are amazing and Kyurem 100% looks so amazing but now that makes me scared that now that I've seen this and my standard for the Pokemon has been brought up too high and I won't like the design GameFreak will come up with.

I personally think that this Original Dragon Pokémon should be Dragon/Normal.
Main reason for having the Normal type: the Normal type is the type that Tri-Attack has, and Tri-Attack is supposed to represent all three of Ice, Fire, and Electric, with a small chance to cause burn, paralysis, or freezing status. This Pokémon's signature move could be a much stronger version of Tri-Attack with high base power and slightly increased chance of status.
My second reason is that this is the *original* Dragon. The template that all other Dragon-types are based on, according to their creation by Arceus. Therefore, just as Arceus is itself Normal type, the original Dragon could be part Normal to show that it is a completed whole, a melding together of elements, made pure.
Fairy may be a strong type, but Dragon/Normal is much more thematically fitting.
Fairy for magic, that is make sense. Even if don't use fairy, pure dragon make sense too, because most dragon type can learn 3 that type element move
Will you ever do a Legends game for other regions as well... if so... can you do Johto next... since i feel like that would be a perfect region for a Legends game anyways (Legends Celebi). This series was enjoyable.
It feels like Beartic, should have an evolution similar to ursaluna since the other noble Pokémon are new forms.
Maybe this Beartic could even be like a Convergent Form to Ursaluna. Ursaluna has a Moon Symbol on its Head so the Beartic Evolution could have a Sun and Parts of Black Skin on its Body to refference Polar Bears having Black Skin under their White Fur to absorb the Sun Light

I think the Kyurem form would definitely need an ability that gives it better power for the STABs of all the pokemon it encompasses but that would definitely make it too broken in game. Maybe what it needs is an ability that choses a random weather effect every time it is switched in between sun, rain, and snowstorm, and then it gains resistances to the type boosted by the weather as well as a move that changes type depending on the weather. It would be something like Castform essentially, except it does not get sandstorm advantages.
That is so awesome, but I feel like an additional affct to kyurem 100 complete forms elemental Master signature ability, is that it can also prevent it from being burnt paralyzed of Frozen, like it actually has those types, maybe I went too far
What if the comet kyurem rode was actually a part of it's body? Like it could curl up into a ball raising it's defense so that it could survive the harsh conditions of space if it chose to venture out to different planets. It's ability would function like Form Change or Shields Down and have the Dragon/Rock or Dragon/Steel typing. Once they split, the armor (extremely weakened) turns into a different pokemon entirely (the rock or steel becomes a weak ice).This is kinda my unique approach to the lore

Its very cool but I wish you made the original dragon/100% kyurem look more natural than just a fusion of both. Since hes meant to be the og/pure dragon, that was then split into these unnatural forms.
the problem of all "perfect" Kyurem is the overdesign, usually pokémon don't use that much Overdesined Pokémon and when they try... well... "Almighty Sinnoh" and I love when artits use golden color to represent this "godly" Dragon
And I would made an strange choice of typing, Dragon/Normal! the three types together is just energy, balance and so the "Normal" but with a ability that change it to Fire/Ice or Electric or a move with this 3 types like Flying Press

I love the story I just have one problem. Team power and level scaling. A fair amount of the teams are way to powerful for lower levels which wouldn’t make sense as the characters just got there. they deal with 3 fully evolved Pokémon in the first trial compared to Legends Arceus where they were pre evolutions. I assume there wasn’t much thought put into balancing because it’s just a concept and not becoming a game.
Maybe pokemon legends Genesect... The pokemon legends series should enable access to pokemon you could not catch normally in game and required an event. You should be able to catch victini, meloetta, and genesect in that game...
how would you explain the way you capture kyuram 100% form togheter with your rival do you use a special pokeball or something completely different

I would replace the Carocosta ride pokemon with a Basculegion or a Red Gyarados. The fossil isn't known until modern times. No fossils at all. Everything else is good.
since unova is based off of New York, and New York used to be called New Amsterdam, you should make your rival Dutch, or the protagonist Dutch and the rival British. the British and the Dutch were rivals at the time.
In the tcg it says that kyrems power leaked on it froze over hence the ice type
That's stated in the game's Dex too, ever since all the way back in BW
Kyurem produces "freezing energy" inside of its body, it leaks and freezes itself.
But there was some new info added in SwSh that recontextualizes this. The new Dex entry says that Kyurem is actually freezing itself to stabilize its cellular structure, aswell as stating that freezing itself keeps its powers bound (a power which far exceeds Zekrom's and Reshiram's)

This whole thing is crazy but its missing something... Each area you can go to in legends arceus has one boss and one ridable Pokémon including the final boss depending on if you pick the diamond or pearl clan when your banned from the village you fight an origin form... Maybe you could make a white clan and black clan that would help with your story.
Another idea is that you could do the 100% treatment and force the player to complete the pokedex before you fight the100%form of kyurem
