I was just talking with my mom and brother the other day about the semantics of riding doduo and dodrio, mostly where your legs would go. Dodrio was the simplest of the two, your legs go easily in between the necks, but also Dodrio is a more aggressive pokemon than Doduo. I had problems imagining riding Doduo though, as I feel like if you were riding it straight-on (with your legs in between the necks), you could easily fall forward off of it. Thinking about that also made me realize that the Doduo line needs some more appreciation from Pokemon Co.

Ostriches are bred for meat in various places around the globe actually, even in the US. Their meat is more similar to beef than poultry

I'm pretty sure the other reason farfetch'd are rare is because they were HUNTED TO NEAR EXTINCTION due to how good they tasted.

If we can trust the Pokedex entries then Gengar would be a very horrible Pokemon to keep as a pet because it feeds on human life and it makes its victims feel the surrounding air getting colder while the life force is sucked out of it's prey. Even the Pokedex (Moon entry) recommend giving up if the trainer sees Gengar because there is nothing that can be done to save yourself. On the other hand, this is a world building curse that afflicts many other Ghost-type Pokemon as well; for example, just seeing Mimikyu's true form causes people to die from sheer shock during the next night and Drifloons kidnap children to carry them to another world (read: "to the afterlife").

Birds DO have a thumb of a sort! The alula is a small feathered structure on a birds wing that is attached the only independent finger most birds have left in their hand, which they use to adjust their airflow in flight. Love the realistic depictions!

LAND PLANARIAN MENTIONED!!! i love hammerhead worms theyre so crazy. like other planarians they can regrow into two different worms if you cut them in half. in fact, there are species that rarely ever reproduce sexually because they just drop off a bit of their tail and it regrows into a new worm! and you making them a poison type is kinda funny cause there are species of them who are actually poisonous! they produce tetrodotoxin, the same toxin found in pufferfish and octopuses. thankfully i dont think they produce enough of it to be dangerous humans though, haha
