The Olight i5T was already an awesome flashlight, but that was before they made it in copper! That's right this awesome little EDC flashlight has a max output of 300 lumens and a throw of 60m, all being powered by a common AA battery! It's IPX8 water and dustproof and can stand a drop from 1.5 meters.

Simply put it’s the best dam little flashlight I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning
After running on high mode for 3 min it will drop to 150lms and run for 25 min then drop to 30lms and run for 122 min. Respect to olight for informing the customer of their step down

One of my favorite lights right now.
My pelican flashlights have no ramp up, and start on high mode. I do really love these olights though. Just got a crystallized titanium i5r, and it's the most beautiful flashlight I have ever seen
Just picked up the black w speckled blue 15t.. thing is amazing. Like.. a huge upgrade from my little Home Depot Huskey I got in like 2012.

Lumintop fw3a, it's smaller, runs on 18650, and has 2800 lumens. You can also get a copper version.
tommy2facetv mine just came in the mail the other day, the cu fw3c is so awesome. If they made this olight to run on 14500 I’d buy one immediately! I would probably even pay $50 for it, but I can’t pay $30 for this light even though it is cool looking and I love copper, bc the fw3a wins hands down.

The truth is 300 lumens not enough !!!
How is the led color compared to the Prometheus beta QR Copper ? The Olight led is more powerfull, however the Prometheus have a CRI 95+ LED ?
Not many have the quality of light as a Prometheus. They have a nice warm light that has a high CRI with very little green, if any.
Olight I has a color temp that’s on the cooler side and has some green when on the low setting.

Klarus, Astrolux, and even Nitecore have some very high CRI offerings. Google those names and high CRI to check out some models

I lost my copper i3T I was so sad but I was able to find this one on eBay since they are not found anywhere else
I think I will stick with my S1RII Baton. Alkalines cost like gold where I live at.
I have that light as well. I love it.
Same, I have an s1r II winter edition and it's great. Running alkaline batteries is just not economical, the price of buying new batteries every time the light runs out is much more than just recharging. I'm waiting for my copper Reylight pineapple to arrive and that can either use 14500 or AA and is brighter and uses nichia led.

3 days later, they decided to,advise The torch is discontinued???
It shouldn't have been showing on their site- no excuses within the technology available to remove items formulae as,soon as they cease to be?

its like the i3t copper.. so much better light and im using 10440 in that over 300 lumens on turbo.. insane.. u can use 14500 in this too and get over 700 lumens i read.

Really? I've got the i3t copper but have only used Eneloop aaa. I love the character the patina gives it. Might have to source a decent 10440 like you said and see what output it gives. Will it damage the LED in the long run from the increased voltage?
Looks nice but too big and heavy, lumintop tool aa 2.0 is 1/3 the weight insane 650 lumens with a 14500 and much smaller. The titanium and gold version look even better than this copper.
With the lumintop do you sacrifice any battery life?
You do not sacrifice any battery life if running alkaline aa. The 14500 will not last as long as standard aa but the output is increased dramatically.
The rechargeable one has no ramp up
I’m kinda new to the EDC world, but I honestly still can’t see a practical use for flashlights in someone’s edc. They can’t sit flat in the pocket and for normal uses... couldn’t you just use a phone flash?
Yes you can, but no. No.
The Answer I’m more into the minimalist EDC gear and aesthetic, so a round flashlight isn’t something I’d like in my front pocket! I guess I can see how itd be useful for a lot of people who may need it for work or something similar, but I don’t.
@The Answer I will definitely check some of that stuff out and see if their use outweighs their weight in my pocket!
When I worked o/n, we had to go out and look for something.
My job provided us with these inadequate flash-lights that were large, but put very poor output.
I had my carry flashlight.. Er I forget what I was carrying.
But anyway, it was compact... and when I pulled it out, my boss laughed at me when I tried to hand it to him and said naw, I prefer a real flash light.
I shrugged... he turned on the job provided flash light and complained about still not being able to see..
So I turned mine on.
And suddenly, could actually see what we were looking for.
Say the world comes to a full stop, no more power. You need can just keep the light in a bag or paracord it to clip it to something. Just food for thought.
Olight makes good stuff but damn, every youtuber I follow reviews their products.
It’s tough not to review an Olight when they release something new. But I get it. There are 1000 people with the same video. TH-cam is flooded.
It’s great until it turns everything green from corrosion. I think it’s silly to have anything raw copper EDC. I would love to see a follow up after caring this for a month.
I’ve carried it for a month and it didn’t turn green.
It could be 100% better if the 300 lumen was the base selection then turn it down to low if you don't need it.
My i5T eos ramps instantly into 300 lumens it don't do that thing your one does

I own 6 of their flashlights, and 3 are dead after mild use. 1 was DOA.
DO NOT trust your life to this brand.
That’s weird. Because I now own 6 and all 6 work great. Some of the best lights I own. Sucks you’re getting duds though.

My M2R Warrior Pro is my EDC and is sensitive to metal shavings at the magnetic base.
Mikeynuts21 you have extremely bad luck with flashlights! I own about 20 olights and only had issue with the switch on one that olight made good on warranty.

The "X" in IPX8 means its has NOT BEEN TESTED for dustproof performance. The "8" means it's submersible.
So please, when you decide to share information with the rest of the world, make sure they are accurate.
I’m well aware of what the X means. An X signifies that the manufacturer considers that rating is irrelevant, that’s why it’s not tested. This is absolutely 100% dustproof if it’s rated an 8 on the waterproof scale. You didn’t just teach me something if that’s what you’re thinking. Lol. Any other critiques you want to get out of the way while we’re at it?
