Ran a few thousand perf cut stickers & this last batch was giving me issues, looks like my cutting pad strip needs replacing. Newbie here. Thanks for the info!
Hi! Can you tell me, how you made the small curved segment with normal cut on the middle top of the sticker with corel draw? Thanks in advance! (I mean the segment you are just showing at 6:23).
Hey thanks for the video... im trying to dial in a SP300i that was perfcutting just fine. Im not sure what changed. I put in a new cut strip and blade and just cant get good perf cuts. I followed your video here to try and set the blade depth first. I cannot get the blade to even score the backing paper even with it extended fully. Im using a 60 degree blade, I have two cartridges and have tried them both. Any advice?
I would like to print on a Roland BN-20 and Perf Cut on a Roland GS-24 is this possible? When i do this through versaworks, my perforation force settings are greyed out. Help please
i had a sp540 back then and never knew about this. i did own it like 15 years ago though maybe this wasn't known back then? what roland 54" print/cut do you recommend at the moment?
What type of media is that? I'm using the standard roland media ESM-GCVP-10-20. What would you recommend for stickers? I am still working out the cut pressure as the standard media is a bit thick. thank you
+Catalin Sorin Chele it needs to be a spot color that is named. I have a couple of other videos on my channel that show how to setup cutlines. For perforated cutting it needs to be a spot color named PerfCutContour for Versaworks to recognize it properly. I hope this helps!
Doing the perfcut test on roland sp540i with versawork 5.5 and With a pressure of 230gf it's still not cutting through the backing paper. Can you help please?
Thank you so much! I bought a used SP-540V with virtually no support. This is exactly what I needed! You are a lifesaver!
Now I just need to translate that into Adobe Illustrator language.
Hi Steven was very nice tutorial. Thanks

Good info, might take some time to set up. But presentation is everything. $
...and you could have used perf cut to cut the hole out of the top for hanging as well? ;-) Great video, very useful.
Sorry So After I Change The Settings In Versaworks do I Also have To Make Changes On The Machine Settings itself Too ? Pressure And Speed ?
do you have a link to the perf cut profile?

GREAT VIDEO!!!
You could have but the small size of it would have most likely caused binding of the media and possible jams. I use a hole punch for that part.
I add Roland cut contour line and it doesn't cut WHY??

thank you
My Pressure Is Set At 260 gf and Its Only Cutting All The way Through Top And Bottom But Not The Sides Any Ideas ?

...
Arlon 4560 GTX - Imprintables Warehouse sells it.
Hi Steve.Do you have the swatches for versaworks 5.2.1 by any chance?
+Derek Jones they are the same as before. PerfCutContour has not changed.
Hi Steve
When Your Doing Perforated cutting is Your Decals Or Stickers Also Laminated?
I Want To Try This On the TrueVIS VG 540 With VersaWorks Dual
They are not laminated in the video but you could do this the same with laminated prints.
what vinyl is that?
With The Same Settings ? In versaworks
you would have to test and adjust the cutting specs but it should be close to the ones I recommended.
Is that a sp-300?
Brandon Gallacher It is a VS300
how much are those brand new?
Brandon Gallacher somewhere around $13,000 you can see them at www.rolanddga.com
isn't this bad for the cutting strip on the machine?
it will damage it but the cost is small compared to the markup you can do on the finished product.
waw nice vedio
Thanks!
