Femboys like authoritarianism so much because they are submissive, and if they can get a government that loathes them they can be dominated by the boot of the state 24/7. Think about it

Huh... talking about cars was my coping mechanism throughout junior high because I couldn't relate in many other ways. You've given me something to think about! :3
Yeah, the overlap on places like 4chan and Reddit of gun owners and autistic people is actually really high. Granted, almost everyone on 4chan or Reddit is probably at least a little autistic, so anything posted there has overlap with autism to a degree.

omg this one is so real. a big ass part of my childhood and my teenage years I've been addicted and craving to learn a lot of languages, all at the same time. ofc i stopped after a week or so (thanks ADHD) but yeah, this one is so real
weightlifting has gotta be in the part 2, there's a guy in my class whos on the spectrum and he's absolutely obsessed with anything gym related, to the point that his casual greeting when seeing people is "Hi ____ you're so buff" or "you're looking bigger today". very nice guy :) I rate it 9/10 autistic interest
I was thinking "wow, I relate to several of these, maybe I'm autistic." until I realized that you've covered art, science, war, and some of the largest fandoms on the internet. I don't think it's possible to really be a human being without participating in at least one of these things.
There's a difference between participation in an activity in your life and hyperfixating on one specific thing and making it your entire personality, and if you can't discern between the two then you're profoundly disabled in the head and you need to seek help or just take yourself out of the gene pool, so that you don't have to inflict yourself upon future generations.
@@jakobcayman I mean I guess? but how the heck do you differentiate hyperfixation from just passion. Either way, it's not a particularly concrete way to define a mental condition.
My friend has an autistic fix on fish. To the point where every single DND character they make is fish or water related. They bought a fish for Marine biology class. My fix is audio. I can’t help myself from always thinking about sound and acoustics. If something isn’t balanced or is out of tune, even slightly (curse you, perfect pitch) I get pretty annoyed. Sometimes unbearably annoyed to the point where I have to stop listening to whatever it is.
Please include lifts in your next one. I have a SI in lifts (and have done for the past 4 years), but the community is a little toxic due to the infamous "Lift surfers". I rarely interact in the community anymore. Hand dryers is another one, and is extremely niche and a rare one because most autistic people are scared of them. Because of this, the community is far too small for drama.
I really don't think I'm autistic but watching this video it made me think "damn, I'm heavily interested in war/history, strategy games, politics, multiplayer games, anime, playing musical instruments, and I used to be in a few cringe fanbases in my teen years." Now it's really making me think...
@@tsunami870 why does that sound so true. I knew a femboy who was exactly like this, minus the musical instruments and anime. I also have a deep obsession with musical instruments. nothing else though
i feel absolutely the same about you, i am/have been interested in most of these topics for a while and i also get along really nicely with autistic people, i've never wondered if i myself was one until now. It's really obvious that just because i like what autistic people like doesn't make me autistic but idk it makes me wonder now, also the only time i've ever been to a psychologist was 1 session around 4 years old and i was told everything was okay with me
Fr I collected metal bottle caps, bb’s, rocks, coins, trading cards, and sea shells. There’s probably more that I’m forgetting Edit: Btw I’m a diagnosed autistic, so just a quick side note
Let's just say that my life has been a rollercoaster between deep apathy and great interests towards many of these things, I'm not autistic but this was a great watch haha
I have autism. I was bullied out of school and was forced to learn at home but I was ahead of my class by a year so it was hella boring. And because of all this I got social anxiety and could only do computer stuff as a hobby. Games and coding.
we have very similar stories. i also do games and coding, but my main hobbies right now are working out and armor smithing. and i was also 1-2 years ahead of my class, and still am, but i was taken out of school and put in homeschooling because the schools were run by suck horrible people. and they also expected me to cry whenever the principal spoke with me in her office when i got in trouble, but she was surprised to see that all i did was give her a devious stare. and guess what, whenever i was in there with another kid, they just sat next to me holding back tears. we pretty much have the same story though
Oh.. I wish you would find more friends that you have more common. As an autistic I had the same problem and I still have at some point. I was bullied a lot and things I had traumatized me over years.
I absolutely love the background of the fans in the comments- your channel is extremely inspiring and actually get hints of sarcasm at some point. Seriously, as an autistic individual I feel like we're always strayed away from society, and hearing you speak about it makes me smile.
My own hyper specific interest as an autistic person is actually Space, and astronomy... I wish more peoples had that interest cuz its hard to find peoples who are interested enough...
I used to be super into astronomy and space technology, but now I only folow popular science stuff, sometimes I wish I have that drive to dive into astro-tech again
Ah yee. My interest with astronomy specifically encompasses planets, moons, exoplanets, basically anything planetary. So I haven't looked too much into the tech and such, but I can imagine why things on the technical side of things might be pretty taxing. Especially since i'm also discalculiate.
@@avandorhu-3389 if you would like to talk about space stuff, its my big interest too! do you have a place where i can dm you like discord or something to talk about space if you want? i am more into the tech side of space but i also have a big interest in astronomy and i am going to study physics/astronomy this year!
All my interests that I remember: Ages 5 to 6: Trains Age 8: Making up jokes (Idk why) Ages 11 to 13: Birds (I still collect my bird's feathers lol) Ages 13 to 14: Rhythm games Now (Almost 15): Roller coasters, sudoku, art, the zodiac killer, (I'm not one of those weird people) and math (I love math so much) There may be other things but i can't remember that well
you're prbly not gonna include this in pt2 but man it would be cool if you'd include vocaloid. It's not really a famous autistic interest but I've come to know that a large part of the vocaloid community is autistic (including myself if you couldn't guess that) And hear me out, cause it deserves a 10/10 for several reasons!1!1!1 1) Unlimited content: you're never gonna run out of songs 2) you can literally buy your happiness: I bought hatsune miku for only 100€ and now I can use her for the rest of my life 3) let hatsune miku tell you that she loves you (or anything else really) 4) Don't get all nervous and anxious fron the horrible sound of real human voices! 5) Combine two of the interests you already mentioned (music + anime = vocaloid) 6) Satisfy you craving for physics by studying the technical part of vocaloids and human voices. Get motivated to learn a new language bc 99,99% of her songs are japanese. Get motivated to make music. Get motivated to draw. Get motivated to make 3d animations (mmds). Get motivated to study peoples perceptions of personalized virtual figures. Get motivated to learn the history of vocal synthesizers dating back to Kratzenstein. 7) create your own voicebank voiced by you for free! (Utau) 8) Create your own version of miku (anyone can do anything with her! headcanons are canon now! Unlike celebraties she doesn't have a hidden personality that changes your whole view of them) and that's just to list a few of them! truly a perfect 39/10
> Satisfy you craving for physics by studying the technical part of vocaloids and human voices dont you mean voice synthesis and not physics? theres nothing really physics about how vocaloid works internally
@@goiioo4 I don't know if I worded it weird but what I meant was like the very physics of sound. I for myself included this point because I really got into physics for like one month straight trying to figure out how the human voice works and how we can replacate it (time frequency representation without the input of a human voice). With the physics of Vocaloid I essentially meant the physics of the human voice and sound itself. Thank you so much for correcting me though, I am sorry if I confused anyone! (Edit: I just wanted to correct my comment but have no idea how I should word it different -_- idk but I'm sorry )
My special interest is fantasy. My room is faeiry-themed, I read fantasy novels, I play fantasy videogames, I watch fantasy shows... I've always wondered if it's a common special interest among autistic people, since I've never met someone else like that
I feel like collaborative writing projects such as the SCP Foundation are treasure troves for hyperfixation due to the deep and often intricate lore that not only takes you literal WEEKS to understand, but continuously expands as long as people continue to contribute. Not to mention the fact that being able to contribute yourself is a HUGE plus.
Trains have always been so appealing. Something about long, interconnected vehicles running on tracks plotted exclusively for them was so cool to me as a kid (and now). There's a charm to how train tracks are integrated into urban and rural environments. Rather than wide and protruding asphalt roads, train tracks require less peripheral surface area and thus can be integrated more seamlessly/efficiently into their surroundings. A train tunnel going through a hill would be the flagship example of what I'm talking about.
So I used to live in London where this massive underground train system called the tube, and I would ride these things all the time as a kid - pure bliss. There were so many different train lines - they were all so similar but at the same time had specific differences that would make them unique. The trains themselves looked the same, but each train line had specific distinct visual designs that made them stand out from the others (for example, the number of windows on a carriage). You could actually tell which lines were older than others from their visual features. Then there were the sounds they made - each train line made a unique sound whenever they entered or left a station and I was obsessed with them to the point that I was mimicking a lot of them. Finally there was the tube map - each train line was a distinct colour on the map and you could see how the trains connected all the stations together - I could spend hours staring at the work of art, admiring how each line connected to each station. My favourite tube line was the Jubilee Line - it was the silver one the map I’m pretty sure. It was the newest one at the time and the most beautiful. It’s stations were the most unique and stood out from all the rest and the sound it made as it end and left the station was music to my ears. I honestly might have been in love with the thing at the time. Anyway, I recently found out that a new Train line opened up, so I guess I know where I’m going this summer. If you made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read this, and if you just skipped to the end, then thanks for reading this bit at least.
nothing makes me irrationally seethe more than seeing my special interests get shat on and yet I can't help but subject myself to it anyways. one half of me is logical and understands I shouldn't take things so personally and the other is malding over cringe normie brained takes on FNAF what I like most about the phenomenon of special interests is that you don't get it unless you get it, I don't understand the trains thing but I admire those who do because I know others would think similarly of my things. frankly that's the beauty of it
Yeah the fnaf part threw me for a loop cause as someone who WAS obsessed (and to an extent still is, still cosplay fnaf and stuff), I understand because fnaf definitely had a major cesspool of concerning content but it was also glorious every time a new game was about to come out. there was so much good content coming out alongside the bad stuff (as most fandoms do), and I met some awesome people there.
I personally seethe over normies running my interests Good example: SCP community, originally made on /x/ but then Tumblr normies started inhabiting the community and ruining it with their childishness and unoriginality
I feel like a problem with this is _yourself._ Instead of welcoming people into your community and accepting that different people get to share the same interests as you, you just dismiss them as "normies" and look down on them.

I was diagnosed by two separate psychologists. I think that whole 'ableism' thing is a bunch of crap. Play the hand you were dealt and stop whining about how its not fair. I was offered disability by my doctor and actually turned it down. Would my life be easier if I took it? Maybe. But I'm proud I chose the harder path and am going to carve out my space in this world myself even if its with my fingernails.
@@peanut4820 I never implied that you could. Because you can't. Yeah, it sucks. You're basically having to run the same races as everyone else but with weights on your legs. And even if you dont make first place, you will be stronger than the ones who weren't weighted down. I'm not the best at words, but I guess I'm trying to say that with the right will you can turn your weaknesses into strengths. Just dont give up, dont feel entitled to anything, and be thankful you're not one of the millions who have it worse than you. You're high functioning at least. That's still a lot going for you.

I have ADHD, not Autism, but I do also hyper fixate on specific interests. Some that I've had and currently have include Sonic the Hedgehog, Cubing, Vinyl Records, Astronomy, Swimming, Analog Horror, Minecraft, Lego, Cuphead, Five Nights at Freddy's, Game Coding, Geography, Pokémon (the anime and trading cards), vintage game consoles, world history, Steven Universe, Geometry Dash, Roller Coasters, and Mega Man. Yeah, I have a wide scope of interests.
they're comorbid, so that makes sense. i have adhd and fairly mild autism, and have a similarly broad spectrum of what i can only identify as special interests ranging from politics, to archaeology, to storytelling, etc. etc. i actually really appreciate the fact that i do have so many special interests, it's helped me stay well rounded and helped foster a curiosity and desire to learn that i find invaluable. honestly, i think learning just in general might be my number one special interest to be honest, it just feels good to know things. i like being smart, and i like being wise :) can't wait to be a mysterious old hermit with a 2 foot beard cryptically explaining the secrets of the universe to unsuspecting travelers, that shit's gonna be hype.
I understand your sentiment about political autistics, but I feel it's missing a crucial perspective. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of crusty politics Bros, but I give a pass to marginalized people who are forced to make it their life because politics affects them so intimately.

There was a guy who rode my bus when I was in middle school, named Michael, who was super into MLP. He was a senior in high school and super into math as well. Definitely gave the vibes of a guy who was definitely a little autistic but leaning more towards the savant end of the spectrum. He honestly amazed me though. We lived out in the desert in Northern AZ, near the Navajo reservation, and most of the kids who rode the bus were Navajo. I think it was largely in part due to growing up impoverished in a really low-income area, but a lot of the kids were pretty aggressive, and got in trouble at one point for smoking weed in the back of the bus. Really gave the vibe that they fought a lot. But come the afternoon bus ride home, all of these kids would gather around Michael's seat to watch MLP with him on the ride home. It was actually really surreal seeing these dudes who looked like they would happily kick your ass all giving this nerdy white kid brohoofs every afternoon

so sad miniature hobbies and tabletop games werent on here. scale modeling, painting warhammer minis, and playing D&D are just some examples of the infinitely deep, and infinitely autistic rabbit hole these two things have created
I had probably put 3k into Warhammer before I found out it was actually a game. They just had some really cool models that I liked putting together and I just never looked any further into it.
As of now, my main interests are a combination of music, video games (combine that with music to make me MEGA into rhythm games), collecting (mainly crystals, fossils, and video games), and being a femboy due to identifying as nonbinary. If you were to make a second part to this, some that could be included would be fashion and evolution. For evolution, it does relate with animals, but it just seems a little bit different enough to be its own thing.

One thing that I’ve kind of noticed as a person with ASD is the niche but popular interest in electronic music, especially if it’s alternative, heavy, or experimental. Being a music producer in training myself, ever since I started producing music and visiting communities, I’ve seen and met a lot of people on the spectrum that attend events and share their knowledge and appreciation for all things EDM. I feel that in recent years, this interest has really started to grow a lot more. From what I’ve seen, it’s mostly Dubstep/Brostep, D&B, Hyperpop, Industrial Hip Hop, Experimental Electronic Music, House, Trap, and Riddim communities that tend to get the most attention, especially if they’re owned by well-respected artists and labels. Sometimes folks who visit the server who are on the spectrum tend to share their interests, and a lot of them happen to be from this video, especially anime and video games. On top of that, a lot of servers and spaces are becoming more aware of blossoming ASD inter-communities, and it really makes me happy that a lot of the staff and creators from these servers are taking the time to understand and learn from ASD.
Holy shit I’m not alone. I thought I was weird for being the only anywhere I went/lived into it. Now it makes sense lmao. Got any specific artists you like?
I didn't even consider art being an autistic interest even though that seems pretty obvious alongside music and STEM. I've got no idea if I myself am neurodivergent at all, I just found it interesting cause it's the only interest of mine I've indulged in since being a toddler to now, I was drawing while listening to this.
As an aspie who collects war memorabilia, this list is 10/10. The oldest piece I have is a 1910 Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1896/11 - the best bolt action ever made.
I'm going to list off the interests I've had over the years. This will somewhat be in order of when they appeared, but I might get things mixed up a bit: Mummies, rockhounding, gardening, birds, collecting toy cars (I never really played with them, I just kept them because I heard that people like collecting things just to have them), reading, science, exercise, horror (both movies and just in general), Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, the internet, TH-cam (I eventually wanted to make videos, and made one video, but it got copyright claimed by Nintendo and I never made a video since then), Flash games, gold panning, programming (Most of the time it isn't actually straight up coding, but just the obsession with idea of it. This became an obsession when I asked how video games are made), math (I'm not sure when this one came up, but it was probably after programming since I learned that math is essential to programming), chickens (this falls under birds, but there was a point where I focused on chickens specifically), philosophy (Again, not really specific concepts, just my ideas which many happened to be covered previously. I used to wake up my mom at night when I learned what "existential crises" are, since that exactly described what I was having), drawing, history, creepypasta, bees, physics, Splatoon, Minecraft, frogs, politics, cubing, dark parts of history/obscure history/true crime, hiking, quantum mechanics, nutrition, roguelikes, Kombucha, energy drinks, pinball, and quantum computers. I feel like I'm forgetting some stuff, but I have no idea what it would be. Here are the ones I still have: Rockhounding, gardening, birds, reading (kind of), science, exercise, horror, Mario (I can't play Nintendo games without using my sister's Switch because my Switch broke), The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, the internet, TH-cam (as previously mentioned, I don't make videos anymore though), programming (I'm not sure if I still want to get a degree in Software Engineering, but I at least want to get some certificates, make a game engine, release that engine to the public, and make a game using the engine), math (Just because it's a part of programming), chickens (I eventually got some chickens for myself), philosophy (kind of), drawing, history, creepypasta (kind of), bees (I eventually got a hive, but they died), Splatoon, Minecraft, frogs, politics (kind of), cubing (kind of), dark parts of history/obscure history/ true crime, quantum mechanics, nutrition, roguelikes, Kombucha (I recently got a brewing kit), energy drinks, pinball (I have won some tournaments before), and quantum computers. Here are the ones I don't have anymore: Mummies, collecting toy cars, Flash games (I grew out of it, but also many flash games are gone now), gold panning, physics, and hiking (I wish I could get back into it, though).
As a 24 year old on the autistic spectrum who has been a Sonic fan since 5 years old, I agree that certain elements of the fandom flaunt alot of grotesque posts on discord, TH-cam etc. The closest thing I have to Sonic merch currently is a Sega logo V-neck and that’s it, But I thoroughly agree there are lots of fans who take their interests to such extremities.

I'm shocked industrial accident reports weren't in here. It's like true crime but with big machines and a paper that says everyone knew the orphan grinder 4,000 would explode if it didn't get oiled every week yet the boss refused to supply the oil
As someone on the spectrum, you really hit it close to home with some of the interests, but others I have strong aversions toward. Like the third hobby (the one after collecting war memorabilia). Just no. I would never go there, not only because I know it is bad, but because three of my great-grandfathers who fought for the Americans in WWII (two of whom were Jewish themselves) would resurrect from the dead to kick me in the teeth for it. And the priest at my church, too, for good measure (being a Catholic apostate with absolutist politics didn’t serve the churches under his rule very well)
All my SI's I remember: - young childhood: Dinousaurs. Very disappointment you did not mention them. What is not to love. 9/10 - Less young childhood: Minecraft, strategy games, history - Early adolescence: Linguistics (now my university major), another banger, but also linguistics people are all insane, so 5/10. We also get politics, and music. - Later adolescence: I got really into Jamaican music and thusly Jamaica as a country. I also started learning Spanish and thusly became a Domicaboo. 0/10
Glad to see another linguistics enjoyer. That has had overlap with my younger dinosaur interest where I would try to figure out what its name meant by deconstructing it into the greek and latin.
yeah idk why but I am incredibly fascinated with languages and there history, linages, and evolution. For instance, English is so far from any other Germanic language that a few people are considering putting it in it's own family due to the Latin, French, Greek and Danish/Norse influences on the language making it an incredibly unique language. I guess the history of the language also ties really nicely with the history of England as a whole... Dammit, I think i just answered my own question, hate it when that happens...
When your special interest is a music artist so you didn’t know if that counted as being a regular fan, so you asked someone if they ever find themselves rocking back in forth to their favourite artists music in their headphones on full blast and are able to hear a microscopic synth hidden under 7 layers of vocal stacks and replay it on repeat… and that was convinced it probably wasn’t a sign of autism
My special interest for a lot of my life that put me at odds with lots of my classmates was bugs, especially butterflies and moths. I raised them from caterpillars to adults, drew them, collected lots of books about them, and even brought them to school sometimes (which got me in trouble). I got called bug boy in 8th grade and peers made jokes about me liking bugs, which I had no idea were making fun of me.
Can't believe writing fanfiction and generally being very into fandom stuff hasn't made its way onto the list. There was some specific media named, but not just... being super into online fandom in general. I mean, whomst among us has not written cringy self insert PJO fic as a teen
I have ASD, and although I tend to have many (unfortunately) outlived special interests, I would say the ones that have really stuck with me are mlp, mbti, space, and fashion. I was definitely way more into space as a kid but I always return back to it. Also, I could talk about fashion for hours. It's kind of a broad subject, so I would say my main focuses are alternative fashion and sustainability (or lack thereof) in the industry. If anyone wants to talk to me about these things I would love to ;_; (my friends are quite limited).
At least for me I've noticed my special interests tend to be characters I like. Dunno if that counts tho, and I don't study too much regarding other special interests. Not sure what any of that says about me
I'm so fascinated by space and love gazing at the few stars in the sky, neutron stars and esp. black holes are so mind blowing objects, like you fall into it, then it stretches you to infinity, then poof, you're gone.

3) let hatsune miku tell you that she loves you (or anything else really)
4) Don't get all nervous and anxious fron the horrible sound of real human voices!
5) Combine two of the interests you already mentioned (music + anime = vocaloid)
6) Satisfy you craving for physics by studying the technical part of vocaloids and human voices.
(Utau)
8) Create your own version of miku (anyone can do anything with her! headcanons are canon now! Unlike celebraties she doesn't have a hidden personality that changes your whole view of them)
and that's just to list a few of them! truly a perfect 39/10

From what I learned, trains are also the least harmful to the environment and they typically have a bunch of other advantages like capacity

Suprised you didn't mention band kids. At least half of the people I've met in band had something up with them and were always doing the most unhinged shit at all times.
Also instruments are just cool as fuck and have so many niche differences and it's so fun learning which ones transpose and why and the different registers and timbres and limitations you have to work around when composing for them

I didn't even consider art being an autistic interest even though that seems pretty obvious alongside music and STEM.

i can’t believe he forgot the final boss of autism, warhammer 40k
As an aspie who collects war memorabilia, this list is 10/10. The oldest piece I have is a 1910 Swiss Schmidt-Rubin 1896/11 - the best bolt action ever made.
You forgot being language nerd. Learning, speaking and creating languages.
I'm going to list off the interests I've had over the years. This will somewhat be in order of when they appeared, but I might get things mixed up a bit:
Mummies, rockhounding, gardening, birds, collecting toy cars (I never really played with them, I just kept them because I heard that people like collecting things just to have them), reading, science, exercise, horror (both movies and just in general), Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, the internet, TH-cam (I eventually wanted to make videos, and made one video, but it got copyright claimed by Nintendo and I never made a video since then), Flash games, gold panning, programming (Most of the time it isn't actually straight up coding, but just the obsession with idea of it.
Here are the ones I still have:
Rockhounding, gardening, birds, reading (kind of), science, exercise, horror, Mario (I can't play Nintendo games without using my sister's Switch because my Switch broke), The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, the internet, TH-cam (as previously mentioned, I don't make videos anymore though), programming (I'm not sure if I still want to get a degree in Software Engineering, but I at least want to get some certificates, make a game engine, release that engine to the public, and make a game using the engine), math (Just because it's a part of programming), chickens (I eventually got some chickens for myself), philosophy (kind of), drawing, history, creepypasta (kind of), bees (I eventually got a hive, but they died), Splatoon, Minecraft, frogs, politics (kind of), cubing (kind of), dark parts of history/obscure history/ true crime, quantum mechanics, nutrition, roguelikes, Kombucha (I recently got a brewing kit), energy drinks, pinball (I have won some tournaments before), and quantum computers.
Here are the ones I don't have anymore:
Mummies, collecting toy cars, Flash games (I grew out of it, but also many flash games are gone now), gold panning, physics, and hiking (I wish I could get back into it, though).

And the priest at my church, too, for good measure (being a Catholic apostate with absolutist politics didn’t serve the churches under his rule very well)
All my SI's I remember:
- young childhood: Dinousaurs. Very disappointment you did not mention them. What is not to love. 9/10
- Less young childhood: Minecraft, strategy games, history
- Early adolescence: Linguistics (now my university major), another banger, but also linguistics people are all insane, so 5/10.
As a linguistics enjoyer, I can confirm that I am insane.
yeah idk why but I am incredibly fascinated with languages and there history, linages, and evolution.
The lighting, outfit, and camera quality are perfect. Keep this up
sonic getting a 0 but mlp getting a 10 is insane
When your special interest is a music artist so you didn’t know if that counted as being a regular fan, so you asked someone if they ever find themselves rocking back in forth to their favourite artists music in their headphones on full blast and are able to hear a microscopic synth hidden under 7 layers of vocal stacks and replay it on repeat… and that was convinced it probably wasn’t a sign of autism
There’s a distinct lack of Hatsune Miku/vocaloid here
My special interest for a lot of my life that put me at odds with lots of my classmates was bugs, especially butterflies and moths. I raised them from caterpillars to adults, drew them, collected lots of books about them, and even brought them to school sometimes (which got me in trouble). I got called bug boy in 8th grade and peers made jokes about me liking bugs, which I had no idea were making fun of me.
The creator of pokemon used to be like that and now it's the highest grossing media franchise in the world
Bugsy from Johto moment?
Can't believe writing fanfiction and generally being very into fandom stuff hasn't made its way onto the list. There was some specific media named, but not just... being super into online fandom in general. I mean, whomst among us has not written cringy self insert PJO fic as a teen

T - Math
E - Engineering
M - …the other thing
Not sure what any of that says about me
I'm so fascinated by space and love gazing at the few stars in the sky,
neutron stars and esp. black holes are so mind blowing objects, like you fall into it, then it stretches you to infinity, then poof, you're gone.
I love fashion. Wouldn't say it's one of my hyperfixations, though. I do love space a lot, and sci fi
I used to be super obsessed with space back then

the only thing left of my autism after puberty is that characteristic clumsiness. i used to always change the area i was obsessed with starting from ancient egypt, then star wars, then guns, and then anime. i've kept the knowledge but lost the passion/interest. probably movies are my only/permanent "hyperfixation" (especially the ones made by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez).
i will never forget the time these obsessions scared me for the first time. i was doing community work at an airport in my high school sophomore year and a freshman came up to me and started talking about the planes that were there (like engine types, engines, etc) my dad also wanted me to get into planes. why do i have to like planes just because i'm "special"
the second obsession that scared me was stumbling in a group of hungarian teenage wikipedia editors who were "collecting" tv idents on youtube and were writing excessively about them in wikipedia pages and sometimes they even make their own, adding age ratings to their videos. one of them who was 2 years older than me recorded himself sitting alone in his dark room, recording the happy new year messages on different tv and radio stations
