It’s not about Apple v Android. Each user base likes what they like about respective platforms. It is great to see Google validating Apples model of designing the hardware and software together. From what I have seen, the Pixel 6 is probably the best overall android phone.

Honestly, it wasn't too long ago where people were typing in passcodes/number codes/patterns to unlock their phones. And those took what? 1-3 seconds? Nobody complained then..... Sure, in some aspects it may not quite reach the heights of the S21 or iPhone 13 but in real world use, it's not something I even notice. The AI features are super handy. The real time translation is super useful for me. If I'm dealing with a customer whom english isn't their first language, it helps me to communicate in a way that makes things much easier for both of us. I chose pixel 6 pro over pixel 6 because of future proofing. 12gb ram, 120hz screen. I won't consider other brand for android phone, because pixel keys gives you the latest software available. Also the AI software like call screening, live transcribe, google translate are just awesome tools to make your life easier. Also if you consider mmwave hardware (only verizon version of pixel 6 has it, and cost $100 extra), then the two model are only $200 difference.
Since you watch content a lot, the bigger screen is always going to be more enjoyable.

Every phone I've had: it's a square slab that sits in my pocket most of the time, and in short order any texture, color, etc that was on it is worn off and dirty. So who cares? Reviewers talk about it as if it were a piece of jewelry. It's a square slab of expensive technology.

Google delivers another ugly, brilliant phone. Why so heavy? Why such a large camera bump? Why so wide and fat? A bit thinner (both width and depth), a bit rounder on the edges, and a more aesthetically pleasing camera bump, and the Pixel 6 would have been a dream phone. I don't just want something that is functionally brilliant. I want something I love the look of and is comfortable to hold. Is that so much to ask Google? Having said that, the phone is a pleasure to use. That is apart from the fingerprint scanner, which is utterly abysmal.

And seriously, you can't wait ONE second for your fingerprint to unlock your phone? You're that nitpicky/spoiled? Honestly, it wasn't too long ago where people were typing in passcodes/number codes/patterns to unlock their phones. And those took what? 1-3 seconds? Nobody complained then..... Everything else is fine - review the camera, the battery life, the specs, the fingerprint scanner not always reading your print, etc. But to complain about the fingerprint scanner opening your device in ONE second compared to half of a second is just downright nitpicky/spoiled.
