Great video! Found it after assembling mine. Biggest complaint is the poor markings on the hardware bags. Assembly instructions refer to sizes and their are no sizes to correspond on the bag, good thing I have a bolt size tool.

The instructions say to put the 3 hex bolts to attach right wing to cast iron table. The holes are in different positions on the wing and neither side will allow you to get the wing flush with the table. Jesse here skips that step .

@@christopherdekonstrukt444 Lmao dude you installed the wings backwards then. The holes on each side of the wing are different if you look at them. Only one side of each wing lines up with the table holes. I made the same mistake but then common sense told me to check that. Smh

My wood shop is in my basement and though its had a little water get in on the floor during heavy rains it wasnt proned to flooding. This may we had a huge storm come through dumping 3.5" of rain on us and knocking out our power. My sup pump couldn't work and I ended up with 4ft if water in my basement. 2 days later with our power back on I knew all my equipment was ruined. My table saw top was covered in rust, but thankfully it still ran ok. I had to lightly sand and relax the top,but it survived. A testament to it's high quality

Almost perfect except show visually the nuts, bolts and screws on camera ( close up) because its a waste of time finding the corresponding ones for the different assembly parts. The written drawings on the manual are too vague.

Could you guys do a video on alignment? The biggest thing which is unaddressed in the owners manual is blade alignment. Mine was not parallel out of the box. I did get the pp file from custom care. Looks easy but it’s also not up to date with the new model and a video would really be helpful! Thanks!!

I bought this saw from Lowes. I saw all the bad reviews about the motor burning up and I joined a facebook group for 36-725T2 owners. While I was waiting for my saw to arrive 3 people in the group had saws arrive and they put them together, but they all failed within a day. So I canceled my saw purchase. I talked to a Delta rep and he said motor problem was fixed. So these 3 must have purchased old stock. So I am going to wait a year or so before I purchase this saw. For the price this is an incredible saw. I just cannot afford it to break on me and then I have nothing. I am wanting a saw I can pass down to my son.

    • @jimlafferty
      @jimlafferty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I've seen reports online that this is likely a combination of two things: 1) burnout due to insufficient power being supplied to the motor (poor electrical power at outlet; thin extension cord bringing power to the saw); or 2) saw motor shutting off if fed to quickly, for which there is a 5-10 minute cool down time and a hard reset needed

I bought one of these at Lowe’s yesterday and had many many problems with it.
Basically the blade was stuck to the surrounding parts and would not spin.
Also the all thread underneath would bottom out before allowing it to be 0 degrees.
Then the blade was not even close to lining up with the insert and the insert would not go on.
I think the product may have been damaged in shipping because the whole motor, and blade set up was way off.
I did take it back to Lowes and exchanged it for another one. So far this one has not had any of the issues the first one did.

Work, life, etc got in the way but ours assembled. Not too challenging. The video helped but would be nice if the nuts, bolts, etc were labeled better. Also advise people to line up the wings with the table saw holes before securing to front and back rails. Otherwise you might put them on backwards.

Heavy usage of my 36-725 for over a year, and few complaints. Great product! Only thing - why is the rear rail shorter than the front one. It would be easier to slap an extension onto the right side of the table if they were the same length.

I checked the inventory several times a day until I found one at a Lowe's an hour away, so I snagged it today. It fit easily in my VW golf hatchback. (which was a big reason I considered purchasing).
Have not unboxed yet, but Delta Machinery if you're listening I already have some constructive criticism. First, some handles built into the box would work wonders. Second, I set it down briefly on some damp pavement, and now my hands are all blue. Not sure if anything can be done about that but your box is not very colorfast.
...okay, now I'm off to go get it set up.

Video mentions which hardware packet to use, but the instructions don’t. Seems like an oversight. Also the table extensions have different height holes on the sides to line up with the table holes. Knowing that would have saved me from having to reinstall one side. Overall the machine work is nice, but the table sides had to be relieved because they were pretty sharp. Overall squareness was good. Super happy so far! Can hardly wait to put it through the paces.

my fence guides are not flush with each other. When the small end of the left fence guide is inserted into the large end of the right rail guide (4:46 in the video) there is about a 1/32 or 1/64 step at the seam. I can true up the fence but when it slides far enough to the left for the leftmost fence pad to ride onto the left piece of the fence guide then the fence is out of square. I have loosened the left fence guide but there is zero play. My only solution is to repeatedly adjust and true up the fence every time I make a cut that causes the fence pad to cross that seam.

I just got this saw a couple days ago, and started putting the stand together. Boy, the shoulder on those carriage bolts are almost not there. So I flipped the stand to align it into the legs, and lo and behold there were no holes for the bolts! I had to get my LED headlamp and magnifier to finally see there were small squares of some stiff material covering the back and front of each hole. And since they were painted over, they were virtually impossible to see. I used a razor blade to scrape them off, then realized these squares were going to be on the inside legs as well, the ones I had just pounded the stand legs into. I'm a 5"2" 68 yo female, and I had to climb up onto saw base to get enough vertical leverage to pull the stand up and out. Just saying, it would have been nice to know about those squares before I put the stand together. Next, tilting the saw right side up, using a multiple-pulley system.

Anyone else not able to fit their rear rail edge nut on because the tube was in the way? When your facing the saw, the rear right threaded hole on the cast iron is threaded right into the frame. The only way the bolt & nut is going to fit is if I drill the tube.

Just bought one of these and I can’t wait to try her out. Two questions came up during assembly. The back right leg is positioned directly behind the screw hole. Therefore my screw hits the leg before it’s all the way flush. Is there a shorter screw out of package D that I’m supposed to use? Secondly the right screw hole on the union plate is not as countersinked as the one on the left. Therefore, my right screw is not flush with the front rail. Is this an issue or merely cosmetic?

@deltamachinery got the new t2 installing it everything looks great only thing is the instructions both here and in the manual are pretty bad. At 2:56 you say "use the slot in the supplied gage to insure the rail is the proper distance to the table" but no where does it state what that means. The gage has a 1/4 gap do you align it to the bottom part, the top or the middle? Also the hardware is labeled a,b,c,d etc.. but that's for the entire bag there are several components in each bag. Simple fix slap stickers a1, b2, etc. And the video is so vague with the setup and half the time the camera is being blocked by the dudes hands so we can not only not see what screw he is using but its just lazy. Lol sorry for ripping into you guys the saw is awesome but damn go hire the manual writer from ikea lol. Frustrating when you spend 600+ bucks
