The white room was his soul. Every mark made darkened it. By the end his soul was black. Too much pain. The items he smashed meant something too. The car = possessions. The piggy bank = money. The clock = time. And the wedding cake topper = relationships. His pain he internalized destroyed it all. At least that's how I see it. I do it too.

He actually told the band he will no longer sing or listen to this song because it brings too much pain back hence him being clean!

I thought the video in its entirety also was depicting him repeating his father’s mistakes? Nice call out on the object smashing! I never caught the significance of each item!

I was there, too, part of me still is, but at a point...you just have to soldier on and let go of what broke you. It's hard, but even if you only loosen your grip on those things, you've already made progress. I'm here for you, mate. This song used to hit me deep (and still does, honestly, really deep down), but I have moved forward WITH my pain, rather than fighting AGAINST it. You don't have to move on from everything, but I implore you to MOVE FORWARD with life. It's so much easier. I'm a testament to how much agony and torment can destroy you, but on the other side of the coin, I'm also a testament to the fact that you can always make your way back, if you're willing to fight for it. Nothing's easy, at least nothing worthwhile, but strength is determined by YOU, not those around you.

Also this song was about the lead singer, Ivan Moody, and his life from his childhood to where he is at now

Their remake of Bad Company has their actual footage from overseas. Great video.

Their founder Zoltan is from Hungary and from moving here he has a deep appreciation of American democracy and the military that protects our way of life. That I've found they have no family connection to the military, just a lot of respect and support for those who serve whether military or first responder.

That footage was from a support the troops tour they did to Iraq. Part of the morale building activities.

Actually Zoltan is actually certified by the military to teach hand to hand combat

I know this video is a few years old. After doing a few reaction videos on their songs myself, I did some research on the band and found that none of them have been in the military. However, they are HUGE supporters of the veteran and military communities as it shows through their songs.

I've seen FFDP over 5 times live and they are excellent, and ivan moody the lead singer had many family members in the armed forces. Also they really respect what the armed forces is/does. I believe they have visited troops overseas many times as well. At their shows they thank veterans as well as have one come on stage with them. Another good song to do by them is coming down, great message.

As far as I know none of the members of the band have a direct connection to the military. They are just very proud to live in this great nation and support the men and women that give everything so that we can live the lives that we have.

This song is about their lead singer Ivan Moody who grew up with an abusive father, and a mother who walked out on them. The song is set on the ideas of trying to escape your problems with joining the military, alcohol, and other things that could be used as an outlet that are never the only way out.

You never know what people have been through in life, that person sitting on his own in the corner of a bar that people laugh at could have gone through so much, lost people, been treated so badly in their lifetime that leads them to that seat with that bottle. I try to keep this in mind when people look down on others. Anyone can be carrying such heavy stories on their shoulders.

This song, along with Far From Home, are the 2 songs that speak of my entire life. To feel and to 've told I'm a failure to my family, and for never being able to make or find a way and a new home. When these 2 men say "this is heavy", it is. I can imagine everyone reads into the messages differently, from being a veteran, active military, having a loved ones depolyed, being a policeman/firefighter/EMT/etc, or just being a civilian (sometimes someone who's so very alone) with nothing but this music to speak for them, and to keep them from going off the deep end. I know Ivan Moody struggled with addiction, I can see that coming through on many of the songs he writes and sings due to my own family addiction issues as well. I guess I'm all kinds of fucked up in the end because I can see from all points of view. I have family in the military, other family addiction issues, and feeling like a failure myself...But FFDP can put into words what some of us cannot.
Feeling as if you're on the wrong side of Heaven, or the Righteous side of Hell. I know the feeling absolutely.
Thank you guys for all you're trying to do to bring awareness to veteran issues! Personally, I'm not sure how I got to this reaction videos but I'm glad I did. Wounded Warrior is something I already bought and contributed to, but since you're also doing awareness for Police, Fire, EMT, etc (in the song "Blue on Black") Nine Line Apparel and Grunt Style are both also some AWESOME organizations who put alot of their profits to ALL, from our military to our local servicemen and women.
Reading this...If you're someone who's an addict in recovery, seeking recovery, or battling a disease many think is a choice (it's NOT!) THANK YOU For having unimaginable strength to go from one moment to the next.
AND THANK YOU to those brave souls who keep America safe, keep our homes safe, who risk it all for the ones they've never met, just because it's right. If any one of you is reading this, thank you a million times!! 💙🖤💚💛

It was "new" around 5+ years ago, from right now. If anything, it was brand new back in 2015 or so. I had it in a music playlist back then, but it was too personal for me, so I got into the habit of skipping it. But I also made changes to my life, forgive AND forget, those who did me harm in the past, and present. I knew, and know, that I did deserve better, and still do, and I have carried that with me ever since.

I've been a day one fan of ffdp. Tho I'm not a vet, thank you all BTW. Ffdp's really first song that was geared towards the military side was " far from home " good song, and it was wrote by them. Bad Company is a good cover. But, far from home has more of Ivan's passion that makes the band great
