We have a Jeep Compass :) Not the REAL Jeep but we did get ducked 4 times already. I need a bigger laser then I could make them big enough to be like pillars at the end of my driveway that light up!
Hi Hobo.... I use parchment paper instead of tissue paper. It is a bit stronger and one layer is enough. Have a nice day and most of all... may your work be successful. Lada .....And one more note... I make a small donut ring on the candle so that it doesn't accidentally move to the wall of the lamp.
Great tip! I can't wait to try this on the next build. Then share my results with everyone on the Laser Makers Realm. It's been a while since I've had a great suggestion like this. For super suggestions like this I offer to send the commentor one of my t-Shirts. (Unworn, of course.) If you would like me to send you a shirt, send me an email with the shipping information. Even if you don't want the t-shirt, send me an email with your name so I can give you a proper shout out on the livestream. hobowithwood@gmail.com
Hello, Hobo with Wood thank you for all of the videos you've done. Greetings from someone who's starting this world of laser cutting. Any videos on how to scale up those files? Thank you
My friends just call me Hobo. I've been asked to show how I make the lighted version of my lantern. I'll be showing how to scale the design & how I light them. Stay tuned.
Hi, I just became a patron of yours. I think there's a problem with the Jeep lantern. On the leaning Jeep cutout. The window is cutout also and both pieces came out. Is that normal?
No. No sir it is not the desired outcome. I missed that when I put mine together. I have corrected that in the file and the updated version is now downloadable. Download it again and it should be correct. And for noticing this and bringing the design flaw to my attention, email me a hobowithwood@gmail.com and I will provide you with a coupon for my website good for twice the price you paid for the file. I do appreciate letting me know. I totally missed that. I do claim my files are flawless. Not because I'm perfect, but I will strive to make the files that way.
I just bought your Jeep Lantern file and would love to know how to scale it up in size (I'm sure I can figure this out) and scale the slots for 6mm material.
I could do it for you, but I had just as soon as show you how to do it. Give a man a fish or teach a man to fish. I prefer to teach. Contact me at hobowithwood@gmail.com if you'd like to talk about a live demonstration and answering any questions you may have.
Love the Jeep lantern, that would look extra cool hanging in a tent during an offroad camping excursion!

@@HoboWithWood thanks so much for your reply, but I found and used the Slot Resizer.
