Also, make sure you are playing around your tanks and supports, this is crucial as bastion relies on staying alive and putting pressure using his tank form and making picks. The threat of you being alive is enough to carry your team through a fight.
I did not know bastion can't headshot in tank mode but that explains a lot. 10/10 content.
Tip 4: If you detect tank just shoot tank with your tank mode and have a healer near
thats what I normally do especially a rein or something just to get rid of their biggest advantage the shield and either all of their health or most of it

Honestly, as a new OW player, his Recon mode is severely underrated. The gun has a high range, good tempo for spamming heads
That’s because they buffed it’s fire rate in OW2
@@TheFlamingoBirdno they nerfed the fire rate and mag for damage accuracy and no fall off(not sure on last one)
Bastion damage are actually crazy. Bastion + kitsune is nuts

Always a joy when I kill a Bastion that way.
Certainly doesn't happen often though, some know how to, y'know, wait.
Meanwhile i will continue to shoot the deflect. Either i will make him look like a fool or he will delete my team and thats a win win. :D

Do you remember old Bastion? He could turn into a machine gun and selfhealing. You could combine that with Reinhardt for the ultimate defense
or on payload you could pirate ship and add an orisa for rear if you wanted

Walking around and shooting needs more love. That thing is crazy accurate
As a tf2 enjoyer who’s played some demo, it did not take me long to figure out how to use the grenade around corners but the sticky jump and artillery alt fire I didn’t know about, thanks
That ultimate tip is huge
1 more tip is to utilize his nade jump as mobility in fights or to get out of them
Yes play bastion and make sure you always shoot the Genji when he has his sword up 😂
Mistake number 1 : picking bastion
Another one using his ability out in the open. Best to use before coming out of cover.

i usually use the first shot of the ult to make people go backwards to avoid then make a line to try and actually hit them

Something that people might not consider as well, No one’s gonna walk into minigun fire if they see it, So if needed (e.g so your team has time to return/heal) you can use it to block doorways like a laser beam
super useful, been trying to hit head shots with his 2nd mode like a twat lol
The main thing i learned was no tank form headshots
I just get squishies low and pop a grenade at them
During your ult you are very exposed
Can you also do the gernade trick while in turret mode?
I literally only use his grades for movement and sick flanks

I'd say the assault is his ONLY reason to play him since the rework.
He can't go Bastion-76 whenever the assault is less effective, which I think sucks since that was the most fun part of him.

As a Bastion main I feel that anyone who doesnt know these things within 5 seconds of picking him up is an insult to the character, I just wish we had Tank Config back as Artillery is so ass, ultimates that are 90% luck based due to circumstance and variables are just not fun to use

If you're playing Rein and bastion is in tank mode don't risk your shield against him, find cover and count to 4 then charge him he won't have enough time to kill you. If you have the drop on him tho always charge asap

Honestly i miss old bastion i much prefer having insane damage with the option of headshots but having to stand still and I also miss his old ultamate cause it was way more powerful, now its just 3 weak doom ults. The only new thing i like about him is his grenade which allows him to get into better positions, prevously his only movement option was his ultamate.
As a Winston player, I’m glad old bastion is gone lol

That is a rocket jump if you played tf2 for a bit you know that and a rocket jump can be used to get to high ground and to kill and very hard to aim at if you get very good at it
While in tank mode should u jump around so it's hard for the enemy team to hit u

I consider his ultimate the worst in the game getting 1 kill with it is a miracle i still main him tho for his abilities
Yeah loads of people say his ultimate is bad. Only good thing about it is zoning.
A tip I would give for it is fire it back to front so the enemies move back into it.

Idk man 6 seconds is pretty long
For new players, the entire problem is playing him, and only him. Maining a character is fine, but you’re never going to get anywhere if you’re a one trick, the entire point of the game is counter picking the enemies, plus it doesn’t help that bastion is already one of the worst dps characters. You’re not getting past gold if you play him.
I'm sitting in plat 3 with bastion. The problem isn't bastion, the problem is your team. Get better tanks and healers 😂

@@JustaBigMan dont worry man there are bastion/torb one tricks in grand master so every hero can be viable; hes still really weak to flankers; if hes not in tower mode his dps is low, and if you know where he is at a good long range hero will smoke him out also once you are aware of him knowing where he can be will help you not get melted as fast if you play a tank though roadhog can hook him.
