appreciate the inrcease video speed, the music with it...well...no. To me, looks like it'll work -biggest issue you had with the set-up?

C'mon, everyone loves the Benny Hill theme song! Pull up some old Benny Hill videos on here and you will appreciate that music more - or maybe you had to grow up watching it as a young teen to really appreciate it!
Biggest issue I had was securing the back of the tent at the front of the bed. The sports bar sail got in the way. You see on the passenger's side I just gave up and closed the strap in the back door which worked just fine! Looking forward to taking her out and trying her in real world camping . . . Stay tuned!!!

Definitely don’t fit correctly with the light bar installed , but “A” for effort 😋

It's not a textbook install, but it worked and kept me warm and more importantly dry on my 3 nights of camping at Overland Expo East! It set up a little differently when I was actually going to use it - I was much more careful to make sure things were aligned as best as possible!

Hey brother, I’m of the age where I don’t town much anymore…looking for creature comforts...I’m liking the Colorado’s..especially the ZR2..would you even consider a lesser model or are you all in on the ZR2? Thanks

I definitely would consider any other trim level. Bumped into a guy from Ohio driving a nicely equipped LT last weekend - talk about bang for your buck! I think the Trail Boss is a great package as well - and of course the Z71 - its all about personal taste - what you want, what you plan on doing with it, what you want . . . As this is replacing my 21 year old Tundra (which my son is now driving) I figured get the best I could buy. Originally ordered a straight up ZR2 - but when the opportunity to pick up a 1 year trim level Desert Boss presented itself, I grabbed it! If she lasts as long as my Tundra, my next set of wheels will have the chair attached to them 😜

so it looks like when you open up the tent that the flap aka door falls down so it can lay in the mud if its raining and also get the inside part of the flap all wet. bad design let alone it looks stupid. most ground tents which essentially this is has the top sun cover built in so you don't go through the trouble of having to add it. also, if it rains or snows the rain or snow slide down into the bed of the truck under the tent so if there are articles on the floor of the tent, they can make a dam and the tent is holding back water around it. it should have been designed to shed water outside the bed of the truck and that would actually give you more space inside the tent. thank for showing us what a joke the tent is and that no one should waist their money on it and since you had a cot you might as well bought a quality ground tent. you don't show that you gained anything with this piece of crap.

Actually it is a very well built tent. I have had many ground tents and this appears to be a top quality tent. Addressing your comments in order:
      1. The flap. If it gets in the mud there is something very wrong. The height of the ZR2 will more than keep it off the ground.
      2. Rain/snow sliding into truck bed: not a design flaw, an install flaw. As this was my first time setting up this tent, I made a few errors. Once corrected after setting this up a few times, this won't be an issue. Sure some water will make its way into the bed of the truck, but the base of this tent should keep the insides dry.
      3. Not sure what you are referring to regarding the sun shield - the rain fly perhaps? I am really looking forward to sleeping in this tent without the rain fly to see the night sky above me, so I am glad it is removable.
      4. This is my second truck bed tent. The first I had in the early 90s on my 1979 Chevy Pickup. While I have no problem sleeping in a ground tent, and do that when I camp.off my motorcycle, I like getting up off the ground. This tent won't be my entire set up unless I am just doing a quick one night set up, sleep, wake up, go kind of thing -which it should do just fine. For longer camps, I plan on integrating the annex - stay tuned for the next video.
At this point in time, I don't think it is a waste of money - It should meet my needs for years to come, but time will be the true test. If it does fail miserably, I'll let you know, but I don't think I will have to. I think it will turn out to be a very good investment. 👍

All that assembly on the ground just to put it in the truck bed... Sheesh, just buy a decent tent and a cot to go inside to get off the ground and place by that sweet truck of yours. 🙂

I have though of that too . . . One of the cons of this set up is that it anchors your truck to the camp. Whereas, a regular ground tent as you suggested, you can go ride the trails without breaking down camp . . . The same could be said for rooftop tents as well!
