Man, so on point here! I have this one with the abalone dial- GORGEOUS is not enough to describe it. Built tremendously, everything works so fine, bezel is solid, a serious tool. Don’t have any issues at all.

The Twodr and Omayger look identical to the Tudor and Omega we have here in Europe. Love the channel by the way, I didn’t realise you had a watch channel, I bought a pair of Warfedale Evo 4.1’s after seeing your review and love them so thanks very much and keep up the good work!

Totally agree. In fact, when I was getting into watches I saw your video on the Phoibos Proteus and decided on buying a Wavemaster with the green dial. I love it.
Plus the Octopus logo was in theme with my appreciation of the Cthulhu and Kraken creatures.
Oh and the movie is Ghostbusters of course.

Hi, I'm new to this channel but im really enjoying it. I'm a huge Phoibos fan ..currently have the original quartz sunny homage, the Oceanmaster 1000m (superb!), Blue wave master, forged carbon with aged steel case Proteus, white frost Proteus, grey dial kracken, blue leviathan, black sunray voyager, Tiffany blue voyager 2, eagle ray GMT quartz, ...think that's it...and I love them all!!!! I have zelos, helm, Seiko, wicked watch co, citizen, orient etc but Phoibos designs are my favourite watches. The SWC diver is a decent seamaster alternative...I have that watch in green...love it.

I have the gen one blue. I wish it was smaller and less thick. I also wish they offered the bracelet as a jubilee. I also think it has some Blancpan in there.
Always liked the Phoibos watches, but was kind of scared away from them because of the price (especially when you can get essentially the same watch with the same movement for less).
If the consistency with the movement regulation and time accuracy are better with Phoibos, I might have to reconsider them as a potential choice.
I go back and forth on this brand. That octopus is huge. You have to buy into to the branding and I don’t know if I do. Great channel. I’m fascinated by the animation at the beginning of each video. Is that your work?
Ghostbusters! The Gatekeeper and the Keymaster.
This is an old video, but, may I recommend checking out Deep Blue watches. They are big and chunky, built for professional divers, and great value. Specifically the Juggernaut. Swiss Automatic, many dial choices, bracelet/strap choices.
It's a shame it doesn't have a glass open back considering it's actually an automatic mechanical movement
Thanks for the out of the norm review. I'm a Gshock guy, but I'm always outside. Plus I'm always looking for a great deal on well made items. I've never had an Automatic watch anyother suggestions to look into.

Just checked my abalone shell wavemaster. Everything lines up on mine. I'd get in touch and ask them to send you another. I think you've got unlucky with yours. I've had my wavemaster for 3 years and out of all of my watches this gets lots of compliments
The lume is crazy on it
Agree. $300 isn’t chump change for most of us and I have a Casio Duro where EVERYTHING lines up. That being said, it is a looker.
Starting to get more and more disappointed with this channel. Very nice watch, but these watches AREN'T cheap. I'm sorry, but he's not much of a "Cheapwatchman".
@@Bertminator I don’t disagree that they aren’t “cheap”. That being said, when compared to the watches these brands are emulating…. It’s all relative. To me, a cheap watch is a Casio. Unless something spectacular happens, I’ll never pay $300 for a watch.
I don’t like the orange with the blue. I’d prefer if white or green. Also, there’s no pip at the 12 o clock on the bezel. I like the ceramic bezel, though.

I was thinking something similar. The handset is Blancpain. Dial and hour indices are Seamaster and the case looks Tudor, to me.

I know it's stupid but I can't get past the Phoibus logo on the dial. Sold the first one I got (Great Wall) after a month. Later I picked up a Kraken because it checks so many boxes of watches I like, wore it twice and now it sits in the watch case staring at me. Can't stand the octopus but still a good review 👍🏽 Given.
definitely not for everyone. had it not been for my affinity for the rocktopus I probably would feel exactly the same way

The Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Diver looks a little like the Omega James Bond watch.
Have you checked out the Glycine Combat Sub at Ashford and Co . Swiss diver with lots of history and with an Sw200 auto for just over 300 dollars. Great Swiss Diver for cheap .
I've looked at them a few times. their pricing seems weird with the inflated retail price. I feel invicta"ed when I look at them which is funny because they now own them. I'll have to give it a try

I love my Phoibos Proteus! They make a very nice watch. The Wavemaster looks really sharp but the hands are kinda Meh... Could the quality be a little better, sure! But the value for what you get is undeniable. Great Review Randy!!! 👍
I wasn't crazy about the hands either but the whole thing kind of grew on me after wearing it a couple of days
