This wouldn't work in Florida as the Window would need to be framed out inside for strength. Hurricane comes along and window blows right in and allows wind to get inside your building ripping it to pieces.

No drip edge on outside perimeter??

Hi @drholt2 - self framing windows do not require any additional flashing. We do provide a top flash usually but it is not required. The windows are what we call self flashing. If a nail fin (new construction) is being used then we would supply jamb, head and sill trims.
      Hope this helps. Thanks

I guess a few two by fours inside could hold it up or something. What screws or bolts were those?

Hi JM, So there are basically 3 ways to do windows on a steel building. This video shows the standard PEMB Window from WinTech. The best way to think of these windows are as retro-fit because they are installed after the panels - they are also a good option for people who want to add a window to an existing steel building. We have another video which shows a framed opening going in as well which would be the second option. These go in after the window itself and there to support interior finishes and high-R insulation or just for looks.
The third option is for a traditional style "new construction" window which has nail fins. This is also highlighted in our other video.

Were these new construction or replacement windows?

Hi Allison, these windows were put in as part of new a new construction but they can also be used as a retrofit solution. These windows do not require a framed opening and are a bit less expensive than a traditional new construction window so they make a good option for both scenarios. Really depends on if there will be a finished wall or heavy insulation on the walls to decide if the cost savings is worth it for new construction.
      Thanks

Angle Grinder with a 1/8" Thick Abrasive Disk - What we would call a "cut-off wheel"
      Thanks
