Hi @vidalarroyo8957 - it would be super easy to take offence to this comment but.... I do agree with you. We plan to do more of these but got slowed down because of exactly what you said. To try this out I decided to do the interview with a close friend to make it easy but as you said, we mostly discussed ourselves and businesses rather than focusing on what was actually important. Hi @billblaski9523. Yes we resolved the issue of the short eavestrut and had the new part delivered almost immediately. The URR building is very nice and we are all fans and supportive of the non-profit efforts they take.

Hi @drholt2 - self framing windows do not require any additional flashing. We do provide a top flash usually but it is not required. The windows are what we call self flashing. If a nail fin (new construction) is being used then we would supply jamb, head and sill trims. Hope this helps. Thanks

Hi @f1partisan160 If the pad is perfectly flat you could make a baseplate replica out of 1/4" plate steel to use as the shim. If it's not flat or you do not have access to the steel or tools to make a plate like that, steel concrete shims can be used. These usually come in a box at the big home centers in the concrete section, next to rebar and grout and tie straps. I believe the box is about 5 lbs and has 1/16 - 1/8" shims that measure about 2x3 inches or so. I don't recall exactly. Hope this helps. Thanks

Hi @DAWIII - I suppose you could put it under the rib but gutters are installed after the roof is on and the gutter strap extends up the roof slope beyond the closure strip. So it would be difficult to install - considering the mastic and everything. With that said there's nothing structurally wrong with doing that. Just no good way to put it on. I can't share images in comments but if you'd like to reach out via email or something I could share a construction detail that would show it better than I am explaining it. Thanks :) Eric

Hello Dan, Eric here, If the holes need to be reamed that is a sign of something else going on. However.... it is not abnormal - a simple issue with anchor bolts being 1/4 - 1/2" off can lead to some difficulty with laps - so it's a consideration of what is easier to do. Most people, even seasoned erectors, can miss minor deviations with bolts, squarness/plumbness of the building, etc... and not catch it until they are flying purlins - at that point - reaming purlin slots is a lot easier than taking the steel down to ream or slot somewhere else. Correct flange lapping and the use of a spud wrench should minimize this. If the holes have to be drilled or moved - it's a good idea to stop work and figure out the root cause - Calling construction support is probably a good idea at that point as well. Thanks
