  • In this video we install a self flashing 4030 Wintech 225 with standard R-Fins. These windows are purpose built for pre-engineered steel buildings. If you have any questions about this installation please post them below or you can visit my company's website at greatwesternbuildings.com

    How do you overcome the ridges not aligning up to the sure face of the window frame

    Eric,
    Your videos are great and company has been as well. I have yet to purchase, however hope to soon. I’ve been working with Kyle and he’s been great. One suggestion I could give is step by step instructions of building. Some of your competitors have done this. It’s a ways for a DIY person to see they are capable of doing the project (or not), proper/ safe construction and tips and tricks. Perhaps when I build my building I can help you out with this! Haha

      Hi Aaron, I'm glad the videos are helpful! If you haven't been over to the Great Western Buildings channel you should check it out. We have a lot more information over there. In April we will be doing a step-by-step process of a building going up. We should start releasing those videos by May I hope. Maybe we can do something with you too. Cheers

    So if you buy a steel building is it best to buy their windows or can you use any window company?

    How does that not leak?

    Hey Eric I've seen people put Windows on shipping containers and they make a frame and weld it to the container.Is there a difference in the way your doing it.I mean will it work the way your doing it instead of weilding it?

    • @ericbeavers4769
      @ericbeavers4769  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I've never installed a window into a shipping container. The window being installed in this video is designed to install onto a 1.25" R profile panel so it would not work on a shipping container as its designed to work on a steel building.

    I'm a new contractor. What is your pricing for installing windows for this project per unit?

    They didn't put silicones on all edges b4 and after putting the window, that is going to leak big time when it rains

      He says he's going to silicone the edges. Classic, comment without listening to the video, TH-cam user😜

    I have a window like this is my shop. I want to add another one. 2 questions. The guy that installed the first one put a huge bead of silicone around the outside, does the job. Is that how these are meant to be installed?
    Or are you suppose to trim it out?
    My window roughly measures 48x48. Do y’all sell these windows

    • @ericbeavers4769
      @ericbeavers4769  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Harley Guy, silicon is spec’d out but the bead shouldn’t need to be grotesque. We do sell these and they ship vendor direct. Contact our office and ask for component sales. I’d recommend Ryan Traver. Mention that you conversed with me on TH-cam and he’ll understand.
      He can answer questions about the window install too.
      Cheers

      @@ericbeavers4769 so these windows aren’t meant to be “trimmed out” like with J trim and all that?

    • @ericbeavers4769
      @ericbeavers4769  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, we can send these for retrofit installation directly to the panel. No special trims required. Assuming you can give us a thourough description of the wall panels you have.

    How do you waterproof it? Just silicone?

    • @ericbeavers4769
      @ericbeavers4769  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. The window is pretty much water proof as installed. However silicone is recommended along the top and at the side fins prior to installing the snap on jamb trims.
