Black Pugs are rare, and Frankie is SO cute/adorable/handsome, and his silky, shiny jet-black fur is, too!

And the girl was in mexico so we had to go to the boarder but we didnt have our passports on us and the girl walked across the boarder ON FOOT,
so thats the story how we got our black pug
Black pugs are not rare. Even if the mom and dad are both fawns, the odds of a black pug are 50-50.
black pugs are the best. I've had several pugs and the black ones always have the best personality
Maybe less common than fawns, but not so rare. That said, and I know it's just what people say, I love their personalities best. I have a little girl black pug named Willow, aka Willie, and she's the naughtiest, funniest, biggest personality of all the pugs I've ever had. Love me some little black pug.

Hi! oh my god! Frankie is adorable, when I saw the video I remember my own black pug, Frijolito (Little Bean), he pass away the last year, when he was 2 years old, I rescued him to the streets when he was a little dirty puppy. He become to my best friend.
Your Frankie do the same things, this video make me laugh and cry at the same time. God bless you and Frankie. Enjoy his company, cause they are little angels in our lifes. Have a nice day and a wonderful life.

Not to sound insensitive, but how did he die? 2 years old is extremely young, they usually live for 12-15 years. So it would be helpful to know what caused his death so future pug owners can be aware and take preventative measures

Had to have our sweet Rose Marie put to sleep May 24 the this year. 14 years and a month. Was never attracted to pug till we took her in rescue. So miss our girl and will forever love pugs. Handsome boy your Franky. Enjoy ! Thanks for video

looks like my pug that just passed, similar temperament, he didnt like cameras close to him and he would turn away from food sometimes like yours when he wanted me to change the menu flavor from time to time or wanted the soft food but he loved being petted and being the center of attention. beautiful puglet, i enjoy these vids, they bring back happy memories.

My Winston (12) is a little bigger than Fankie. Such sweet dogs , so loyal and never barks unless the door bell rings. Black pugs are so cool.

Hard to believe a pug would be so dainty in eating...even turning the kibble down for a bit! I have two black pugs ( see Pug Snort Report blog), Gus (11) and Chica (6). They practically inhale their food, and all it takes is a treat to get their attention! They are quite trim, despite their love of food.
this black pug looks like my Bocephus who died 6 months ago and it hurts to watch it but I enjoy it cuz he's so cute. you don't know how much you miss them till they're gone.

This reminds me so much of our black pug. When we were on the wait list with the breeder we got him from, we were convinced we had to have a female buff pug but the litter only had 2 buffs and 3 black males. The 2 buffs were selected by others in line ahead of us on the wait list. We were ready to pass and wait for another litter when my daughter looked at online photos the breeder posted and she saw a black one that had as she described "crazy eyes" and said he is the one. Now 3 1/2 years on with him, I can't imagine if we passed on him and missed out on having him with us. He's so smart, loyal and entertaining every day.
