These blades are everything they advertise. Cuts thru wood like butter and leaves the smoothest cut I've ever seen. If you don't have a $1000 dollar drum sander this is a great blade. At about $30 bucks a blade they are a bargain for the price. Follow the instructions about drift,tension adjustment and leveling and your on your way to happiness. I don't make videos but with 70 years walking on my feet and woodworking for 55 years I have to say nothing else out there comes close to the quality and performance.. Did a test last night just for this post..Results,,6" by 24" mic'd out to within .15mm around the perimeter..That's beyond impressive. One final note. The blade does it's job,but we have to do our part in set up and adjustment and that includes making an adjustable fence that can adjust for lever and drift. Slapping a board to a fence doesn't cut the mustard.
See Alex from Carter at The Woodworking Shows and he will show you how to make a bandsaw track straight. Offsetting the fence is needed because the saw if not setup properly. I recently also saw where the table was not aligned with the blade. Something I also do is never cut a curve with the blade I use for resaw. Scott I love your videos. Thanks for what you do!
Here's the response from Morton: Yes. I set the bearings as close as I can but away from the blade (within thousandths). They should NOT move when the saw is on, but not cutting: no bearings should move at that point. When I start to cut, it is typical that the bearings move because the are holding the blade in place.
The only thing I wonder about is using MDF for the test cut and setting Fence Drift. It is my understanding that MDF dulls Bandsaw Blades quickly. I like use a piece of Straight grained Poplar or Cherry.
I have the same saw and the same blade as in the video. I cannot get such a smooth cut. I think it is because the blade is fluttering when cutting. Perhaps the guides are not tight enough?
I have used the Wood Slicer blades and they are excellent. I have done business with Highland and their service was also excellent. Videos like this would be better if made more concisely through careful writing and editing. A simple comparison between two competing blades is all you need to sell these blades. Further, if you want the quality of cut to be visible on camera, use low-angle lighting & wet the freshly cut wood with alcohol to make the surface-marks pronounced. Best wishes!

This is a great video, and these blades are awesome for re sawing..they cut through even the hardest woods like butter!!
