I really love that you guys don’t play games with a live chat. We get to actually watch you experience the game with your full attention, which is much more fun to watch.
We collectively chose to not stream this game. For one, moderating the chat was going to be a nightmare, as well as trying to control backseat gamers. 2, this game requires your full attention during stealth. 3, a lot of exploration will be involved and a lot of viewers would not want to wait 10 minutes of them looting and checking around for ammo, and materials.
The scene where Sarah dies, from interviews with the actors for Joel and Sarah (Troy Baker and Hana Hayes), Neil, who directed the game, made them redo that scene over and over and over again. Troy had mentally prepped for a week to do this scene and was far more loudly emotional with his acting and Hana, who was like 11 at the time, dug up memories of her grandfather dying and used them to get into the mindset to play that part. Over and over and over again. After 9 takes, they got a take. And then 2 weeks later, Neil called them up and said they were reshooting a scene. And with a look, Troy knew instantly which scene it was. And they reshot it over and over again. And finally, they truly got it. If anyone ever says being a voice actor is easy work, I point to this scene and ask how long would it be before they threw their hands up and walked away? I could never do it. A scene like that, no way.
Damn 😨 props to the actors for going through that emotional hell and for the director for knowing that they could give the perfect performance and not being satisfied with “good enough” 😯🤩
Correction, Troy was called in weeks later to do the scene one more time, and he acted the scene by immersing himself in how emotionally exhausted he was at that point, resulting in what we got, rather than just another emotional breakdown.
Troy Baker's acting in this game is phenomenal! The beginning is just haunting how well he shows the hopeless despair in his voice when Sarah dies gets me every time. Both Troy and Hana play that amazingly and I will never not cry to that scene. The rest of the game with Ashley Johnson is just amazing too. Ashley's easily one of the best voice actors out there with Troy Baker.
I really like that melancholy ending as it really reflects that for Ellie she wanted more out of this, that all of this wasn't for nothing after all the loss she endured. She was prepared to pay the ultimate price, but not Joel, he wasn't going to lose someone again. Ellie knew Joel was hiding something, and I like that the ending ends in that way where in Ellie's eyes you can still see doubt.
...she was unconcious since the drowning. She wasn't ready for anything.and has no clue what happened or what the price was. Even in Part 2.... She has no clue what happened to Marlene, nor what Abby was all about. And Joel (or rather Neil) never did tell her what happened, he just let her speculate what happened from a partial cassette tape. Nor did they even touch on if the Firefly surgeon could actually do, what he thought he could do. Or if a world that far gone could even be saved. Do you really think an organization would just give out the cure...even if they could produce one? (look towards the scars (seraphites) to see what kind of world they live in, now... That group started as Pacifists....
@@Hydra360ci I completely agree. How could Joel even give her a choice? It was the Fireflies who didn't wait for her to wake up. It was them who took Ellies choice away. And they wouldn't even let Joel say goodbye. They did some tests for only a couple hours and then they decided to cut Ellie open. In audio logs and notes that you can find in LoU 1 and 2 its clearly shown that Jerry, the doctor who was so eager to kill Ellie rather than study her for longer, has no idea why Ellie is immune but that "We must find a way to replicate this under laboratory conditions." Maybe Joel should have told her sooner but she must have serious survivors guilt and it would probably make her want to kill herself. Joel did the right thing and saved an amazing 14 year old girl from dying a needless death.
@@Hydra360ci Stop trying to logic your way out of the moral dilemma, it’s cowardly and makes Joel a worse character. The only way for his choice to mean anything is if the cure would’ve worked. It wouldn’t have magically put the world back together, but maybe it would’ve made it so that every bite, every little mistake, wasn’t a death sentence. It would’ve meant Riley wouldn’t have had to die. And if you don’t think that she was at the forefront of Ellie’s mind when she learned that an actual chance at the cure was wasted due to Joel’s outburst, you’re wrong. In universe the vaccine would’ve worked, the Fireflies could’ve used it to negotiate a democratic settlement with FEDRA, it might’ve formed the basis for a new centralized government and an end to QZ warlords. Abby’s father thought he could synthesize a cure, he was sure as he needed to be to kill a literal child over it, and from everything we see he was both a caring and empathetic individual as well as the father of a young woman, he would not make such a choice lightly. Were the fireflies dicks about it? Absofuckinglutely, Marlene’s conduct was insanely confrontational and if that one soldier marching Joel out hadn’t been such a prick, Joel straight up might’ve just left.
Ellie is a kid. She didn't get to know that many people to begin with, so losing that many weighs so much heavier. She wanted to die, out of survivor's guilt. Joel looked at it from the other side. He recognized that she's still just a kid, and that, in his view, she deserved a chance to defeat that guilt and experience happiness. So he decided for her and went back to Tommy's. Survivor's guilt is somewhat similar to clinical depression in how it affects people. And the general consensus, in those cases, is that people who suffer such an affliction are not in a clear state of mind.
Freaking love how when Beth's playing and she shotguns someone, Ken's smiling and laughing so hard at seeing the blood and gore of the dudes getting blown up, meanwhile Beth just has the straightest, stone-cold face ever, just no remorse or emotion. It's freaking great. XD
@EndofMusic "gameplay" you mean walking simulator. The last of us created that genre of " game's". Gameplay is boring as hell and story is meh. fell asleep. Don't get me started on the sequel
Always love seeing people play through this very complicated and amazing story. Hearing people go back and forth about what they would do or what is “right” vs what “should” be done is what makes things like this so amazing. If Part 2 is an option for you guys to play, I HIGHLY recommend it despite what some people say. It makes you think much more, won’t go too much into it. Great stuff!
I used this playthrough as background noise while drawing, but towards the end, when you guys were so interested in the story, I wasn't able too. I was extremally intrigued by the way you two think and your thoughts on each plot point. I also like how you both just let eachother play, no bossing around or anything just enjoying each others company while being enthralled by the game you were playing. There are definitely mixed reviews on 2, but it does continue the storyline so I definitely think that it is worth checking out, I hope you two will play it someday. Now that I am done with this I will be moving onto your Detroit becoming human playthrough.
i love seeing you guys play more games! I love how captivated y'all get in the worlds you are placed in. Nice fresh change of pace from my other communities i'm a part of. Thank you for letting this channel become my sanctuary.
This was such a great watch, thank you guys for experiencing the last of us with care. As someone who played it on 3 different consoles, I CANNOT wait for you to experience The Last of Us Part 2! I look forward to watch you play it!
Glad you enjoyed the playthrough! We really liked playing the game and are going to eventually get to part 2. Already checked out the gameplay trailer and it looks like they added a lot of fun mechanics to it 😀
Can I just say how cute it is that yall played the whole game through together?? Super cute and wholesome 🥹 Yall are couple goals btw lol. Anyways thanks for the marathon!!
Fun fact, the two people who are talking at the dumpster at 21:45 are Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham, aka Vex'ahlia and Grog from Legend of Vox Machina. Throughout the game, you can hear the entire voice cast of LOVM playing different background characters with the exception of Ashley Johnson(Pike), who plays Ellie. Also, Travis and Laura married
#1 game definitely! The story , the characters, the combat, the environment, EVERYTHING was so perfect. Definitely gunna be playing this game again haha
@xyex: I know, she was only 45 and died 3 years after being diagnosed, must have been a very aggressive, we are finding out things all the time, a cure will be found eventually. she kept her condition under wraps though since it was between her and her family, she leaves 3 sons and her Husband now a Widower😢
I'm about 7 hours in watching the vid and there are some minor annoyances. You seem to have some habits that make the game unneccesarily more difficult. You don't - read the tutorials (finding new weapons or variants of) and craft them (lead pipe-shiv combo for example) - don't use the molotov (could ignite multiple enemies at once, especially in combo with a distraction brick or glass) - seemingly not notice stuff lying at your feet that could be picked up - Don't pick up multiple things at once by holding down the button (can't remember if the game actually says this is possbile) - walk away from npcs when there's expostition playing i.e they're telling you something. You miss out on important or visually interesting stuff like this just to go pick up loot - scan the your surroundings properly. Some times you're so focussed on a cone in front you and disregard the other 270° around you. The library fights for example where you get frustrated thinking someone in front shouldn't be able to see you when you've totally ignored the areas behind you. That's just off the top of my head. I'm not expecting meta plays or 360 no-scope action btw. It's just a bit frustrating to watch, especially when it means whole sections being done over and over again. Regardless, I do enjoy watching you two play and hope it gets better 😉
It's been almost 3 years since Last of US 2 has come out, and a lot of people have changed their minds about the game, many people have changed their minds about how they feel about it, with a more positive outlook on it. I have changed my mind as well, I actually think it's a good game. It took me more than 2 years to get over it.
I know it's over a year ago but you guys completely missed the point of bill and frank the note was a more tough love thing for Bill telling him he can't keep living like that and that's why he left him essentially bill gets emotional if you give the letter to him to read
Something else I'd like to mention is that you can pick items all at once and you don't have to pick them one by one. for example if there are a couple of items on a table you can press and hold the triangle button to pick them all at once.
I was really shocked you guys didn't buy either of the holsters. They would've really helped with switching weapons. It lets you have up to 4 weapons equipped at once instead of just 2. A lot less sifting through your bag in the middle of fighting. They're expensive to buy at the workbench because they're more valuable than any single weapon upgrade.
Had though about getting those a couple of times but for some reason just decided not to. Should’ve at least bought one to see how it helped and then would’ve bought both once we saw how useful it was 🤗
the reason many people seem not to like the Last of us 2 is not because the gameplay or the story is bad, its a good game with a good story, better play for yourself. you both played good. I like how u saw how Joels dicision is selfish, but understandable. i recommend you play the DLC and then Part 2. I would be really glad if u did more gaming. Games nowadays do not only compete with movies and series storytelling wise, but already went above what movies can do. as you said the gameplay makes u understand the charakter and the dangers better, it gives u a better connection to the charakters.
The reasons why people hate that game is absolutely because the story is bad. Not all parts of it are bad, but as a whole, it's written terribly with all kinds of plot holes and contradictions and bad storytelling dynamics.
Very entertaining reactions but I did have issues with complaining about the game’s difficulty makes no sense, everything about the difficulty can be fine tuned from enemy ai to how easy you find resources and even how hard it is to aim. Everything is customizable and if you don’t like dying so much or think certain things are too hard all those settings can be tuned at anytime in the game. Though most of your issues came from a lack of understanding the mechanics such as the Ellie section, she is bad at melee but she is faster than Joel and much better at stealth and she can down clickers with her knife that never breaks making them trivial instead of difficult with Joel. You just have to identify their strengths. All said great video I appreciate your work ❤
interesting playthrough. but, keep in mind that listen mode is not a radar or anything futuristic. it is actually your character listening more focused and it's there to visualize the hearing of your character for you. because transmitting audio in a digital medium has the limitation of preventing you to be able to locate the direction of the sound beyond left and right (stereo), which is something that humans can do in real world, when you hear something you will detect which direction that sound is coming from, but in digital medium you don't have that ability, unless you're using a sophisticated surround sound system which not everyone has it. that's why they created the listen mode to emulate the real world hearing capabilites of humans. and as it is not a radar or a futuristic thing, it can not detect anything that has no sound, therefore in many situations where there are enemies in the environment but they don't make any sound, using listen mode does not show you anything which is in line with how your hearing works in real life.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames My pleasure. Yeah, on my own first playthrough, I didn't know what exactly listen mode is, but when I started part II, somehow I figured it out 😅
Glad you enjoyed it. I love watching people struggle with the ideas at play, uncomfortable things that many prefer not to engage. At the end, it's impossible to say Joel is a good person, which makes the 2nd game compulsory in order to really understand the main themes that the creators are going for. I dare say it's even better than the 1st, but I'd say they are 1 complete work.
Thanks. We’ve been trying to do this with our let’s plays so people can just check it out on their own time or just go to their favorite parts in the story 🤗
Idk why it took me so long to watch this, considering its my most favorite game ever, but this is always a journey, a rollercoaster even and always enjoyable. Without spoiling anything, Id like to suggest playing part 2 as well, I personally didnt like it as much as part 1, but I would forever defend part 2 against those who say its crappy. To each their own, but the game itself is still good, the characters are nice (take it as you wish 😂), the scenery is beautiful ofcourse and it hits the feels as much if not more than the first game. So yeah, looking forward to you playing the second game. Great vid as always 👍 keep em coming!
I love how you two play together while playing last of us this game gets me so emotional and broke me so many times, there's an live action show out now it's amazing
Thanks! We didn’t want spoilers and in the past when we’ve done edits people have said they want to see us fail haha. So we have since just uploaded full playthroughs and try to make chapters so it’s easier to follow 🙂
With molotovs being one of the best weapons in the game, able to kill a bloater with only 1 or 2, or easily 4+ lesser infected including clickers, I’m amazed so many players go to such extreme lengths to avoid using them. No offence intended, as a high percentage of players do this, but I wonder what leads people to do that. In this particular case, molotovs are first introduced with ideal conditions to use them but aren’t, cloth and alcohol are left just to avoid making them, a molotov specific hunter type demonstrates their efficacy but is ignored, and nail bombs are used up and ammo wasted despite their rarity while molotovs go unused. If anyone happens to have a genuine answer I’d love to hear it.
It likely has something to do with the fact that the molotovs use the same resources as the medkits so newer and/or less confident players are probably gonna lean more towards the one that can fix their mistakes rather than the one that’s not necessarily guaranteed to get get good value. It also tends to be difficult to get good value out of molotovs outside of bloater fights which the game never mentions how effective fire is against them. The enemies (especially humans) don’t tend to group up enough to get molotov multikills except for in scripted events which new players are unlikely to recognize before the enemies start moving around. Usually in the lower difficulties that new players are gonna be in, the healing is gonna be more valuable than getting a single kill that can easily be done with the plenty of bullets given.
@@greatgatorgaming6024 I think I get what you’re saying, but if you’re full on medkits, full on rags and alcohol, there’s more on the ground in front of you, but you’re not full on molotovs, why not make a molotov and pick up the materials? Is it just not thinking it through? As for fire on infected, when you first get to the subway area filled with clickers and runners, it gives you molotovs and bottles. Bottles are louder than bricks and every infected that hears it (unlike only one in a group of humans) will run to the source of the sound (unlike just until the source is in eyesight with humans). You can lure several with one bottle and burn them all with one molotov, but then even more infected hear the molotov and come running to catch on fire. You can clear almost the entire subway area with one bottle and molotov like that and I assumed that’s what it wanted me to do on my first try, so it’s confusing why no one else got that impression.
Whew this took me a while to watch it all. But I did it! This was a fun playthrough to watch, you two are just too wholesome in your own murderous shotgun ways. I appreciated you two taking breaks and talking about things, especially when you were getting frustrated. Now I'm gonna watch your reactions to the show haha! About The Last of Us Part 2, it's a lot darker of a story than this one. It's a great story if you can get past certain absolutely horrific moments and understand the underlying theme. It made so many people have inner conflicts with their own moral compass, but at the end of the day the last of us is about human emotions and real human situations; that happen to take place in an apocalypse setting.
You guys had so much trouble playing as ellie because you didn't use the bow to be stealthy The bow helps take down enemies silently with one shot, loud guns alert all of them, keep that in mind if you guys decide to play tlou2 :)
I 100% recommend playing Part II. It’s an incredible story that challenges the players maturity it makes you see things in different perspectives and forces you to confront different ideas you normally wouldn’t. It has flaws yes but people who claim the game is “terrible” are extremely closed minded when it comes to the game itself. You probably already know but before Part II was released it had a massive story leak that enraged everyone the game was massively hated, it was review bombed, and boycotted all before it even came out. There are people who’ve played it entirely and didn’t like it but honestly the majority of people who hate on Part II either never finished the game or they didn’t even play it at all. Please please please give it a shot. It’s such a rare experience.
Marlene wasn't wrong, and no one would need to ask Ellie if she would prefer to die because Ellie herself wouldn't mind dying to give/be the cure, she has survivor's guilt, this is very clear in her last dialogue with Joel at the end of the game, which is also why she doubts whether Joel is really telling the truth
Marlene was objectively wrong. Nor only did she not ask for consent before killing a 14 year old girl, but they had ALREADY been killing other immune people with the same goal in mind. They had been failing to find a cure. There was no reason to think Ellie would have been "the one." The game has notes you find in the hospital that tell you this. Also, even IF they created a vaccine for cordyceps, that wouldn't "save the world." First, there is no means of mass producing and transporting the vaccine. 2nd, the vaccine wouldn't do anything but stop new infections. While helpful, it wouldn't eliminate all the infected that can still kill and eat people, and it wouldn't provide humans with anymore resources or food. So uou would still be living in a post apocalyptic environment with monsters that try to eat you, an other humans that try to kill, steal and also eat you. Marlene was wrong.
Marlene is wrong Just because i think something i cant decide for you just because i think that way If you are right then there should be no problem in asking ellie at all since you know the answer right? Marlene was scared that ellie could flinch.
All safe combinations are different. The combination will be written on something in the general area of wherever you find the safe. Or if you want to take the time, you can manually crack it by listening. Once you are on the right number, it will make a different click sound.
WOW ! i just can't believe they ended the game using the bomb or molotovs atleast once or twice, i mean they didn't even using any dodging to avoid melee attacks, Not even once ! i mean that's kinda.. bad ass i guess😳
Although part 2 has its iffy moments, it also has some of the most beautiful and heart wrenching moments aswell, I look forward to seeing that play through eventually, it is a long one!
It is hugely a problem with the story, however, not so much the beats but how those beats are set up. For example, im fine with the fact that joel died, however, it was not so good that it was early as it was, as pathetic as it was, and as disatatched ellie was from joel. Also, abby was another problem
@@28Maniacs This is a "marvel" problem where joel had to die an heroic and very stereotypical way otherwise people would get upset, joel died in a brutal way but making it any other way just betrays the world of the game in favor of cheap fanservice. people are upset because there wans´t more fanservice for tlou2. people were fine if they made 3 TLOU about more joel and ellie. the game actually had some dignity and made a worthy sequel despite that.
@@tomkunnel411 he died on a trap like a dog by the people he slaugtered in the first game, what doesn´t make sense or is realistic?, what, you expect some anime shit and joel slaugthering them all?. lmao
@@ThatFuckinGame that is the point of the game seeing the story on both sides. But not all people are going to understand a good story if they think they know better themselves. Basically talking about you not using a single brain cell.
I'm glad I found your channel. It's awesome that you guys play together. Just a few tips for ya incase you play again or play part 2. Clickers can be killed by headshots from guns. Molotovs are very useful for all enemies, especially when they are grouped together. Try to always keep a shiv on you for the shiv doors. There is an abundance of resources in those rooms. Always check everything and everywhere many resources you will find, which you need to level up in the game. Hope this helps for next time.
You play it so well for a first timer! I ended up dropping down to easy when I was hanging upside down, I was a terrible shot and not used to the buttons (I’m more of an animal crossing gal). This is a game I wish I could play for the first time again! I’m working my way through the difficulties, I’m halfway through normal plus. It’s on ps4, and I told myself if I completed it at all I’d treat myself to a ps5, and seeing the difference in graphic just convinced me to actually go and get it and play it fresh.
The 20 year time jump is a masterclass in storytelling. In the world 20 years have passed, but for us (the player) Sarah's death only happened a few minutes ago. And that is how it feels to Joel all the time and that is why he does what he does in the end!
Looking forward to seeing your playthrough of "Left Behind" the DLC for part 1, Last of US 2 was a master piece in its self they play a diff game with your emotions but a very well written game. Don't let anyone tell you its not a good game, that would be the people that never gave it a try and put in the hours of playing it. When you put in the hours it just hits different and its a great game in its own how it makes you feel. Looking forward to seeing them if you play the DLC and Part 2!
The fact that everybody in that camp new what David was doing to underage girls that they found and they was just ignoring it cuz he was keeping them fed is crazy like people really be ok with anything in the apocalypse😭
Thanks for this video, i enjoyed it very much. It was very interesting to see how the two of you reacted to the story, especially that scene where joel got hurt so badly. I cried so hard during that scene and really thought he would die. Stopped playing for like a whole week. And when it switched to only Ellie and this winter setting i played sobbing...It seems you guys weren‘t that concerned. I‘m looking forward to see your video to part 2 , that was even tougher to play for me. Its great that you play on the sofa as a couple, love that idea and just listening to your perspectives on the game. :))
Part II is a masterpiece. More complex and not afraid to make the story as a counterpoint and more extreme consequences of the actions of the original story. Last of Us is inside my cells forever. Every opportunity to review and feel those emotions again is a blessing. Grateful for this video!
I don't think Joel was wrong, Fireflies are not better as Fedra. The world is lost. Immunity does not prevent the infected from tearing someone to pieces. Fireflies don't have the capacity to spread the vaccine, and they don't want to. They would only use the vaccine for their own purposes. It's just two extremist factions fighting for supremacy. The game showed us that humanity is just bad as the infected. Joel is just a simple man. He lost Sarah and he doesn't want to lose Ellie.
Enjoyed your playthrough guys. Can't imagine how long this took to upload (if in one chunk). It would take me about 2 weeks with my broadband 🫤 Look forward to watch you both play part 2. I've been playing this game for nearly 10 years, didn't think they needed a sequel but I'm so glad they did, I love it equally as part one. Try not to listen to the hate or the love for that matter, just play it for yourselves. It's a tougher emotional rollercoaster but please stay on the ride. You both seem so familiar... had to check if you were actors ✔️ I really thought I'd seen you both in something but I don't recognised any of your filmography ? ? .. weird. Bethany does kinda remind me of a younger version of the actor Annie Wersching (Tess). ✌️🏴
Any mature, sensible, adult will agree that the last of us part 2 is a masterpiece in storytelling. It is a big upgrade in gameplay, graphical quality, and acting. It’s a rough ride emotionally and makes you reflect on deep themes of love, revenge, regret, and loss.
@ creator of the video: an example of what I mean. Just play it and form your own opinion on it without being influenced by positive or negative reviews.
I always said that it was masterfully crafted, but not something I want to buy, play and am comfortable enough watching everyone else's reactions. I'm fine with just the first game.
@@The_Pimba The whole point of the game is that revenge is bad and leads to an endless cycle of violence. Good job spoiling the story in the comments though.
Oof, this is another big one 😯 very much appreciated; I do have a slight suggestion for future videos like these though: both the 11 and now 18 hours are really, _really_ long for a single video to come back to. Naturally, people won't be sitting through all of it in one evening. Chances are, they take it in several pieces spread out over a week or two... and then might not even be able to remember where exactly they left off. It's also a bit harder (from a psychological point of view) to determine for yourself when to stop - because obviously, as long as there's still playtime left on the video, you're inclined to wanna keep watching. Soo... would it be possible if these could be split into chunks of about maybe 2-4 hours, and then put into a playlist perhaps? The experience would still be intact, just in a way more comfortable to digest format. Just a suggestion though :) if you personally like it better this way, don't worry about it.
I still think Joel's decision to save Ellie is right. Even Ellie is willing to go on surgery procedures that will kill her. Joel has built a great feeling in Ellie to become his daughter.
The ending is brilliant and it's only at the end when you realize what the story is ACTUALLY about. They should have given Ellie the choice, but the doctors were too scared that she'd say no, just as Joel was too scared she'd say yes, and neither were willing to take that chance. But I don't think there's a parent out there that would say "sure go ahead" which makes it a "selfish choice" in a way but one that we'd all make in the same situation. I also liked the point you made of how the hope that they could use her brain to make a vaccine was far from a guarantee, so even had Ellie said yes, there was a high likelihood that it would haven't worked and her sacrifice would have been for nothing. One of the first questions I had with her immunity was, "is her immunity something that she would pass along to her children?" and that could open up the door for her to have a kid and get put into the same situation that Joel was put in for very much the same reason which would be an interesting catharsis for both Ellie and Joel. Regarding part 2, they went a different way and I think they did a really good job on telling the story that they wanted to tell with part 2, I just think they missed a neat opportunity there, but maybe they'll do a part 3 and do that story someday. Cheers
Ellie literally has no choice here. If the Fireflies had told her everything and said "it's up to you" what if Ellie had said "no"? Do you really think the Fireflies would have accepted that and let her leave? No way - they would have forced her to go through with the surgery anyway. They have spent 20 years working on a vaccine, they are not going to let the only immune person just leave and take the vaccine with them. So there was no point for the Fireflies to offer Ellie this choice since they were always going to go through with the surgery.
Thank you so much for posting the full playthrough! I finished watching the show's 1st season, and I really wanted to give it a go and play the game. Sadly, it's not available on my console. I then searched for playthrough and saw that you two posted the full thing! I am almost 11h in! I'm not watching it one go, don't worry 🤭 I really love that you haven't deleted the scenes where you struggled, it makes it way more relatable to watch! Also love when you comment after playing for a bit and share your opinion. I think this way it's much better than doing it while playing, as we can see you focus only on the game! Comparing to you, I would have cursed like a sailor a few times. As always, really great to watch you two, and thanks again for posting the whole thing! Once season 2 comes out and I watch it, I hope you would've played the 2nd game, too - so I can compare the show's material with the game 😉
At the university, Ellie asked about them taking blood & commented about getting immunizations at her school. A shot or taking blood is a far cry from death. The last scene mirrored him running with Sara.

Voice acting is an art. It is a skill that deserves more recognition. Anyone who says otherwise have not tried dramatic readings or acting out plays
@@viktorvondoom5950 Well, voice acting is acting. Of course it's an art. That's obvious.
@@Yutani_Crayven Exactly 💯
Troy Baker's acting in this game is phenomenal! The beginning is just haunting how well he shows the hopeless despair in his voice when Sarah dies gets me every time. Both Troy and Hana play that amazingly and I will never not cry to that scene. The rest of the game with Ashley Johnson is just amazing too. Ashley's easily one of the best voice actors out there with Troy Baker.

We really loved playing the game. It got frustrating at times but the story was fantastic 😀
It would’ve been interesting to see what she would’ve chosen if given the choice. Neither fireflies or Joel gave it to her in the end. 😢
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames very much answered in the next game! See you guys there!
...she was unconcious since the drowning.
XD

I'm about 7 hours in watching the vid and there are some minor annoyances.
You seem to have some habits that make the game unneccesarily more difficult.
You don't
- read the tutorials (finding new weapons or variants of) and craft them (lead pipe-shiv combo for example)
- don't use the molotov (could ignite multiple enemies at once, especially in combo with a distraction brick or glass)
- seemingly not notice stuff lying at your feet that could be picked up
- Don't pick up multiple things at once by holding down the button (can't remember if the game actually says this is possbile)
- walk away from npcs when there's expostition playing i.e they're telling you something. You miss out on important or visually interesting stuff like this just to go pick up loot
- scan the your surroundings properly.
I must admit, I've never seen anyone not trust Tommy before.
Me with 13 in my first playthrough back in the days i was constantly paranoid of tommy that he wanna steal ellie lmao
"The Cordyceps just doesn't affect humans yet" - Ken 2023
@holymosey2556: It won't happen to humans, this happens IRL to only Ants and other Arthropods.
@@jane1975 In 2045, it'll affect 8% of the human population
Something else I'd like to mention is that you can pick items all at once and you don't have to pick them one by one.
for example if there are a couple of items on a table you can press and hold the triangle button to pick them all at once.
Will keep that in mind for sequel 🙂
I was really shocked you guys didn't buy either of the holsters. They would've really helped with switching weapons. It lets you have up to 4 weapons equipped at once instead of just 2. A lot less sifting through your bag in the middle of fighting. They're expensive to buy at the workbench because they're more valuable than any single weapon upgrade.
Had though about getting those a couple of times but for some reason just decided not to. Should’ve at least bought one to see how it helped and then would’ve bought both once we saw how useful it was 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames There's always the 2nd game!
The holsters are the FIRST things I get! Total lifesavers!
the reason many people seem not to like the Last of us 2 is not because the gameplay or the story is bad, its a good game with a good story, better play for yourself.
you both played good.
That makes sense now. Thanks for the explanation 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames My pleasure.
Yeah, on my own first playthrough, I didn't know what exactly listen mode is, but when I started part II, somehow I figured it out 😅
this game broke me emotionally, and made me see the world in a different way
Glad you enjoyed it.
I love you guys! Just discovered your channel a few days ago and I’m already addicted to you guys! Both amazing! Keep it up!

Thank You for playing the game. You have my full support.

You guys had so much trouble playing as ellie because you didn't use the bow to be stealthy
The bow helps take down enemies silently with one shot, loud guns alert all of them, keep that in mind if you guys decide to play tlou2 :)
Never seen you guys play a game so cautious and carefully. Great content

Marlene is wrong
Just because i think something i cant decide for you just because i think that way
If you are right then there should be no problem in asking ellie at all since you know the answer right?

Haha, yup 🤗
Yo the reaction to Joel's face getting split by the bloater! 😩😂
I really enjoyed watching you two play! Are you planning to play part 2?
Welp I better grab some popcorns

I always said that it was masterfully crafted, but not something I want to buy, play and am comfortable enough watching everyone else's reactions. I'm fine with just the first game.
@@The_Pimba The whole point of the game is that revenge is bad and leads to an endless cycle of violence. Good job spoiling the story in the comments though.
So if I don't like a game you like it means i'm not mature and sensible?
I'm glad you guys are making progress as gamers.
Thanks! 😊
You definitely chose one of the BEST games ever made with one hell of a god damn storyline.
hello, The acting in this game is better than alot of movies and tv shows. thanks
Come on everybody let's get them to 200k it's a fantastic channel I'm glad I found it gaming all the way
Thank you for your hard work putting together this video!!
Our pleasure 😊🤗
16:49:01, the bloater, shambling along as though he had a long, hard night of drinking😅
I still think Joel's decision to save Ellie is right. Even Ellie is willing to go on surgery procedures that will kill her. Joel has built a great feeling in Ellie to become his daughter.
I enjoyed your playthrough. Would love to see you play The Last of Us Part 2.
Hello you both are amazing great gameplay I really enjoyed the whole video I'm your new subscriber😊
Pls play the last of us part 2
when i saw the sarah death scene, i was sad but then i realized, "oh wait, its a game!"
if ur crying over a character in any game u know the devs did a good job with that character
She said walking down the stairs with Joel after the giraffes "we can go anywhere you want to after this"
The ending is brilliant and it's only at the end when you realize what the story is ACTUALLY about.
Cheers
Part II was hilariously poor in its writing. Don't lie.
I love how you guys actually play thru no matter how hard it is and how frustrated we can tell your getting haha ❤❤❤
This is perfect! Today we got You guy's playthrough and tomorrow new episode for the show! Thank you guys for these BIG uploads!
Our pleasure 😊
At the university, Ellie asked about them taking blood & commented about getting immunizations at her school. A shot or taking blood is a far cry from death.
The last scene mirrored him running with Sara.
