The lines on the blade are from the milling pattern of a CNC machine...This was learned more than 13 years ago on the JohnGrimsmo knife channel ....they are actually a weakness since they will send stress along the edge instead of up to the spine. The maker was either lazy or thought he was only making a decoration knife that would never be used much like the beautiful $1,100 Norsemen knives of Grimsmo..... Square tires on a car might look cool too but are totally impractical.
Agreed. I do not know why anyone would want a finished product look like that. From distance it looks like a part in the middle of CNC-machining and up close as a cheap 3D-printed one. The handle from the distance looks like a metal casting. When zoomed up it looks badly milled with all the lines different and crooked. I paused at 3:31 which made my eyes bleed.
💯 work of art! BUT He should go back over the deep milled lines (around the cubes) after the smaller milled lines are cut to remove the grooves from the deep milled outlines, made from the micro milling. As amazing as it already looks, it kind of makes it look cheapened to see the horizontal Milled lines cut into the boxed deeper milled sections.
Love the aesthetics of the milling on the scales! Truly looks 3D. Along with the micro step grind. I can only imagine the time and effort put in to this! Thank you for sharing MC.
The first knife I ever saw with this milling pattern was the kevin john lone ranger 2 but it never looked anything close to as good as this not to mention the step milled blade what a beautiful knife and the plain Jane version of this is very fairly priced imo.
Cool knife, the scales remind me of the dance hall floors when it was in to have corrugated aluminum floors back then. I always hated them, for they were always slick....
Welcome to the world of high end knives. It goes a little something like this. If have the money, it's out of stock. If you don't have the money, you'll find them everywhere.
This is not really a high-finish piece. When you scrutinize it, it's like a collection of CNC tool marks. It's a beautiful design but any experienced buyer of luxury metallic things will recognize that it only looks great from a distance.

That front flipper was so subtle you completely missed it! 😂😂
I’m a sucker for these aesthetics, beautiful milling, what a gorgeous knife
The scale on this bad boy are a true work of art and dazzling to look!!! Definitely on the list of must haves for the collection!!!
It's the Qbert!
lol…that was my first thought!
That is gorgeous! Wow! 🤯
Work of Art! That blade design and finish is insanely beautiful! 🔥🔥🔥

ALSO WHAT?! UNDER 3OZ SHEEEEEEEESH

I love how the steps curve to the point.
I'm very tempted by this. I already have a cedar arriving soon but that texturing is awesome
Wow! That’s beautiful workmanship.
I really like Rob's work. He makes some really nice knives. I think Im adding one of his knives to my grail list😂. Thanks for sharing with us MC !
that is a very pretty knife. some crazy details for sure.
When knife materials and art collide at the speed of light. Beyond wow.
That is a Qbert pattern scale. Great video game from the 80s. Very impressive.
Now that’s something. 🤩
Just, wow😍
Some day I will slide that beautiful cedar box open
Very nice idea for scales, just wow!👌 😘
im still waiting on my cypress v3!

You said you got a cedar. That's the heavier knife. Was the inner edge of the lock bar/insert square and sharp? Mine was sharp enough to draw blood
That's incredibly nice looking.
That's the best handle I've ever seen!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥😎
WOW...I want one 😊
Just when you thought your mind could not be blown by amazing knives from MC's channel anymore...... 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Id pay 300 to 400 for pm2 scales like that, easy. Amazing
Another fancy pants open toe sandal knife. How amazing.
Who let Rosanne in here?
BEautiful.. Out of my price range. Imagine that...
The design on the scales looks like the cover of the penguin classics book Epictetus discourses which is an ancient Roman mosaic.
Check the new rex 45 smock 😎
Totally tubular, MC.
Holy smokes!
WOW!
Might have looked slightly better with a straight spine rather than that little clip at the tip. But dang that there sure is a purdy knife.
Officially calling that blade style as “interstellar black hole like.”
Q-Bert
I want it!
Rob Johnson and Hog House are on the top of my wish list for 2025.
wowwow
8.9 on the slap
All are sold out on website. What do you estimate the price to be...does not have to be exact...just curious as they is top notch for sure.
800+
Definitely + lol
Wow
Sikkkkkkk Knife !
🤯
Sometimes I feel a bit bummed when the livestreams spoil an unveiling like this 😄
First to say hello MC !!!
Ah one day may see a video with knives that are in stock. Super cool, I'm sure a fortune, though.
97% of my uploads showcase in stock knives

@0zmose sounds exactly my experience haha. Luckily I like pews more, so the knives tend to fill in voids every now and then.
If he can find a way to hide the back screw on the show side it would be perfect.
The scales are mesmerizing... but the blade is fn amazing
Nikolas!!!!!
😮
It's great, but I can't afford TEXTURED CUBES!!! 😢😂
Not left hand friendly lol
This is not a knife. This is an ACCOMPLISHMENT! ❤
Noice.
Ahhhh.. the Q*bert.. lol
Beautiful knife, but why only a single thumb stud? Not even intended at all for left hand. Not a fan of that.
And the lockbar cut on the inside 🤌
I like it but do you ever get excited about different blade shapes? All i ever see if the same blade shape on every excited review? Just curious
I hate being a loser , I wish I could create things like this
Hi dad
Bro wants to be in the next Best Under $1,000 video.
He was! He made the Cedar

Tool
When we show a knife and there are never any available. Especially the good ones.
Probably because everyone thinks the good ones are good. That's called "demand"
Some reviewer. Completely missed the front flipper!
I'll have to cover that during the actual review.... first impressions videos are just that. First impressions.
