Bo Staph-Maverix, you've taken the time to make a lengthy comment so I believe it warrants a response. Fortunately, you are misinformed on every turn. The original test panels and shelters have been subjected to extreme environments for over ten years with no degradation, warping, sag, cracking, or loss of color. Furthermore, there is no offensive odor or mold. The shelters and campers are in use from the frigid Bering Sea to the hot and humid climates of India to the deserts of the Southwest. The plastic used is not "toxic" to people or animals. If you believe that, I would suggest you not drink milk from the jugs you buy at the supermarket. Is plenty of space & easy to heat if insulation is laid 4 feet out starting at the walls. Constant temperature line wicks up. You can heat it further with candles or incandescent bulbs.
Agreed. You could buy a decent old second hand mobile home for just a couple thousand with enough left to rent a lot space, or buy a small distressed property fix it up a bit and turn the utilities on.
The Devil's Cradle How? You’re gonna need a pick up truck to bring it with you, it’s starting cost is $7499. You can just rent an RV or purchase a teardrop trailer for about the same cost.
Needs a waterproof/rot-proof, portable floor and a way to anchor the shelter to the ground so it will not blow away in a strong wind. The lack of insulation means this is a mild weather shelter. Needs screened windows for cross ventilation in warm climates and to keep out mosquitos and other flying pests.

Not a storm shelter with that kind of cheap roof and no floor to it either. Fun for camping maybe? Put plastic roof on it and then bury with earth then it could possibly be used for an emergency storm shelter or for maybe with other modifications could be turned into a root cellar? But if kept like this the only thing it's going to protect you from is getting rained on. I've got an umbrella for that and it costs much less.

The French built a folding camper trailer with hard sidewalls called the Esterel (spelling?) decades ago. That same fold-up-walls design would work quite well for a very light, low-profile trailer or a roof-mounted/roof-transported shelter. I've an offroad mini-camper that is great for solo (and couple) trips, but I'd like to include others in hard-walled sleeping accommodations, without breaking the budget. Seems like you could make a pretty roomy 6x10 shelter that anybody with a pickup or an SUV, station wagon (rare, these days), or crossover could carry on the roof.

I am just a pensioner, I couldn't afford one let alone 50, but if I could, I would. Here in Australia in my State there are 150,000 homeless people on any given night & that is only 1 State! Im sure there would be more in your neck of the woods, & no i dont go to any Church but i have done my bit for charity, & at times the homeless. The city i live in, i have bought $40.00 worth of breakfast ( MacDonald's) & taken it to homeless people in the park, i also have worked for the Salvation Army. I live in a nice home that I rent, but if I was homeless, I would definitely appreciate being told i could sleep safe & warm in one of these portables! So plastic or not! small or not! I would be so very grateful? Even if someone bought one & gave it to me, & there was land I could sit it on, & go back each night to sleep, stay warm & my bedding stayed dry, I would be thankful. There should be no homeless people, & if it wasn't for greedy Govts there wouldn't be.
Dawn Leary I understand your view. I suppose we both have different visions of how to help people, and that’s ok. We should be able to agree that any help is what counts. Take care.
i think were looking at a top notch ice fishing hut!
Looks like a giant igloo cooler. Yeti needs to make one. At least then it would be bear proof.
Close to $8000 for a basic shell I could never see a reason for one, you can buy a good used travel trailer for that furnished
Mike Whaley u can buy a new travel trailer on sale for the same price.
@@TheAutomanDan Maybe where you are, I am in Canada and they are double that fore sale prices, but for a plastic shell you have to put together and I am assuming probably sweats with condensation this would not be my first choice. The construction is kind of cool, but not putting it together and taking it down every camping trip

A turn-key ready trailer. Just add clothes and food.
It may fly away during hurricane season or tornado ! It’s just light weight !
8 grand.
I can get a big shed from home depot 16 by 10 insulated for half that.
johnmonk66 Our two car garage we built in 2005 (Coachhouse Garage) only cost $9,000, included concrete floor, window, side door, garage door opener, shingled roof. 24 foot by 24 foot. 🥰
@@amythomas1124 how much would that same garage cost to build today?
Is plenty of space & easy to heat if insulation is laid 4 feet out starting at the walls. Constant temperature line wicks up. You can heat it further with candles or incandescent bulbs.
Agreed. You could buy a decent old second hand mobile home for just a couple thousand with enough left to rent a lot space, or buy a small distressed property fix it up a bit and turn the utilities on.
There's a 16× 60 furnished to give away near here. You have to move it. So buy a lot &...
That would be a great hunting cabin
These would be perfect for Burning Man. Very cool! Looks like a Sci Fi house.
The Devil's Cradle How? You’re gonna need a pick up truck to bring it with you, it’s starting cost is $7499. You can just rent an RV or purchase a teardrop trailer for about the same cost.
Okay so I spend 8k on this , set it up an a tornado hits... farewell my lady...lady of Spain
I love the idea and would definitely use that and make it work for me I can Customize my own ventilation
Go to quitelite.com to get the correct information.
I love this! good place to put him and the boys on game day, lol! under the shade tree...
This is Lite and can address many needs.
I just saw this incorporated as a travel camping trailer
Yes Carla it is, & i would love one although I think I would have trouble assembling it. But as an alternative I thought it could be a safe & dry place for a homeless person.
I guess you might ask to ask that question to a person who's living in a cardboard box in New York City on the street this could be a hotel for them you are privileged no doubt
Perfect on a high platform......hunting perch
Putting my kids playhouse/ slide together was a pain in the ass, and this looks like it was built by the same company.
He put that whole thing together in less than 6min
THIS SHOULD BE GIVEN TO ALL STATES THAT HAVE HOMELESS PEOPLE.BE A PLACE THEY COULD USE TO START OVER HAS THIS COMPANY THOUGHT OF THIS.THE STATES COULD PROVIDE THE LAND.AND THESE COULD GO UP. WITH ADDED BATHROOM.AND COMPACT KITCHEN.IT WOULD SOLVE.THE HOMELESS CRISIS,
Cathy Bobalek there’s a lot more to homelessness than homes. They need more than that but it’s a start. They may or may not stay. That’s why there needs to be treatment
Yes I got the comment
I do know there is more. Than. Homes. To homeless ness
.but I ment ittobe. A start. Where I'm at. They built shelters. By the. Bars..as ifthis. Is going. To. Help. The. Situation. Thank you for your. Comment.HAVE A. GOOD DAY
no, democrat leaders rather have them living on the streets in tents or cardboard boxes.
If it cost $8,000 I think I would buy a small camp trailer rather than play with that thing
For 8,000, you can buy a very large used trailer
@@Automedon2 This price is crazy. G-wiz
This is a perfect design for a space time device in terms of the exterior!
Looks like something out of Star Trek TNG
53 minute assembly time would make it a worthy choice for some long term camping. Can you open the windows?
You can also put a couple couches in a home depot shed. I wonder which is more affordable and has more options.....
I vote for the Home Depot shed!
Wenn wir unsere Häuser abgeben müssen, Ideal! Beste Grüße aus Gö. in D.
Like a kids playhouse but probably expensive lol
No disrespect intended but this seems VERY overpriced! 😮
Praise Jesus Forevermore
It would be great for the homeless it would be hard for them to move unless it had wheels or a way for them to move it.
Could House 20 Homeless People For The Price Of This,This Thing Is Close To 10K
Nice quiet nights sleep if it's raining!
Now I want one of those. 😀
Looks like the tents from stormship troopers
Needs to be snap together somehow and a one piece hardtop rooftop , then it’s better than a tent for area’s with wildlife. (. Bears). But a determined bear would get in, just better than a tent would be
Bears can peel back an automobile door--the bear would not have to be terribly determined
Wildfires? It's plastic... Plastic burns WAY easier and hotter than wood! Even if it didn't burn it would melt into a pancake! 😂😂😂
I take one to my "Moon Base " ,to live next door to Alice.
I hope they have a way to anchor it down in a high wind.
Thats an extra 5,000 dollars for the 20 tent pegs...
I like this i could take it on a camp site lol easy to put up
It would be very hot in fla and blow away.good for a shed
Anybody who has stepped inside a wooden shed on a 90 degree day can imagine....
wow.i am seriously impressed what a great design.
BordeBomb66 Hope your wallet doesn’t get depressed at $7499 for it.
You can make changes so it could become a storm shelter and l
at least so good ideas.

Looks like something out of a space movie
Believe it or not, Spielberg contacted us several years ago wanting a dozen of them for an alien camp but we didn't have them in stock.
That thing is amazing.
Hey it beats a tent
I doubt that. On a 90 degree day ....
Here in FL. It'll double as an oven. My car gets up to 125° in 15 minutes.
So........
A northern snow shelter. Perhaps.
Anything south of Tennessee...
It better come with some shelter ac.
There was an A/C option available.
😂
I Think it looks like its a lot more insulated than a tent and a lot sturdier.

Should be a hit in San Francisco. Send Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters some brochures. I’m sure they’ll want to set up a meeting.
good idea. and we will ship litter boxes your way, Biff
this would be good for when my wife kicks me out
Haha The dog house!
I’m assuming nobody invested in this idea cause I can’t find anything new on these it’s a shame because I think that they’re really cool but really difficult to get you any kind of camping site
@DM-vb6qy Actually, the company has been purchased and is under new ownership and is shipping products daily. New marketing content is on the way. Please check out our new website www.climatereadyshelters.com
How warm is it in winter ❄️ and how cool is it in summer?????
Don’t use that cookstove in there by all means!
Looks like Captain Janeway and Chakotay lodgings. ST:V

I suppose a strong wind would sail it thru the air? Or is it anchored good.
They would b great for helping our people , government needs to buy them an help house our homeless , we can do better this would help California, an everywhere

If I was homeless I'd make sure I'd save few bucks and grab one of these and put it up in woods or somewhere shit I'm about do that now with how much cost live
At that point it be better to just make one lol
If you were homeless, you would not be able to afford one. I can’t and I am a long way away from homelessness.
@MeMe-cd1wy really why how much these things go for?
Wonder how much weight it could take if buried. Needs a real roof.
$9000 for something that resembles what I stage my trash in before pick up........I'll pass
If it was insulated it would be perfect for off grid enthusiasts!
How much are these? I want a man cave for my garden.
this would work great on a harbor freight trailer
Cute little place...let's NOT be so negative...
I'm kind of worried to see if I can take a direct hit from a tornado with all the debris flying around a hundred miles an hour understanding could probably be safe and some situations but can't handle a direct hit from a tornado that would kind of word me via in a thing like that
no disrespect, but if you're camping in one of these during a tornado, you have bigger issues.
@@tonyperricone2568 true, but what are these designed to "shelter" you from?
Enclosed cargo bike with reclining seat/toilet/shower combo, solar panel, micro hydroponic farm, induction cooker and PC. Mass produced, cost of one for homeless people at 1000$ repaid via 6 months of community service. Cost for non homeless people at 3000$.

Too bad you couldn't fill the panels with water for both insulation and sink. Idk....
I would place that thing on a pontoon boat and cruise some rivers...
The only things that this would actually shelter you from is sunlight, a soft breeze, and being cool😎
No, plenty of sunlight and plenty of cool air. Obviously there are dozens of nooks and crannies allowing air to flow in and the roof allows plenty of light and heat from the sun.
Patrick Larry my point is this thing is a piece of crap. It offers no real protection from anything. A tent would be just as good for a tenth of the price. It looks like it was made in the late 60’s or early 70’s. Also, I thought the sunglasses emoji would make it obvious that I meant “ being cool” as in cool dude 😎 not temperature.
It's too bulky. What's it's real usage lol.
What is this shelter from ? What State and how does it stay to the ground ??
