    Every community should help those who are in need. I want to see more of this type of stuff, and I am in the process of research for future projects to help the less fortunate.

    These shelters are truly amazing and inspirational. Fantastic.
    Ironically, it's amazing how there's always lots of aid for people overseas; yet, very little for citizens of those countries who provider aid.

      It's one planet hurling through space ,the only plant known to support abundant predictable life cycle. Misogynists fail to figure out reproductive enslavement is neither generosity nor is it reflecting compassion for living things of earth.
      Good idea to improve hygiene mentally and physically. Relishing the suffering of others is perverse.

    I have an idea that I leave in video sites as this. Billionaires looking for a humane way of helping after a disaster. Build a ship, leaves in in logistical locations for fast deployment using the East and West coasts of the Americans. Earthquake in Haiti ship leaves Florida arrives within 24 hours with mobile hospitals, medical supplies, shelters, food, water purification machinery. Digging equipment, camera and delivery drones, communications. These ships and supplies don’t have to wait for government bureaucracies but only for crews. Places around the world strategically this could save thousands of lives every year. Please share this idea and maybe this can get done soon!

      @@claudettecharles3542 I know this is an old conversation but I’m genuinely curious about your comment. What specific situations have you witnessed where god helped those in need? What if the billionaires of the world would have cared in those situations? How would that compare? I’m seriously not asking in vein, I’m lost and need some guidance.

    Awesome ideas. So many thinkers with great ideas for giving shelter, especially more permanent shelter for refugees, where they may sadly, have to spend years. I also like the idea that some of these can be used in areas like Haiti which experience not only hurricanes, but also earthquakes or other types of conditions. These are certainly much safer and longer lasting than ‘tent’ camps. The adaptive nature is great for also allowing for meeting areas, schools, shops, restrooms and showers, offices, clinics- all of which refugee and even homeless camps need.
    Great , cost effective ideas for homelessness, but I certainly haven’t heard much ‘enthusiasm’ for allowing these types of structures in areas where homeless need is greatest in the US. Very negative for us as a country. I hope other countries are able to better handle their homeless populations with compassion and true help, using these and similar ideas.

    The shelter box idea is good, but I would change one thing about it. I would make the boxes into wheel barrels with two wheels, extending arms, and a water tight dump gate on one end so you can dump the contents out of it. I would still design it so they were stackable though. I would also make it so you can padlock them closed.

    Emergency shelters that last a decade or more that only cost $100.00 - $500.00 used to be called storage sheds. Nowadays the same designs that sold for so little are now selling in the thousands for no real good reason. Their quality remains the same or may even be worse.

    • @ThisIsATireFire
      @ThisIsATireFire ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you looked at the cost of a storage shed lately? The cost of a single sheet of plywood? These costs are not that outrageous once you factor in the cost of supplies. Then there's labor costs. Don't forget, to get the safety testing done, there are fees to be paid. A place to actually make it. The power used. It all costs.

    Have you ever lived in a tent for say 3 months? I have and it was not enjoyable but then it was in the Army and waking up covered in black soot when the oil stove went out was just one of the pleasures we endured.
    We have seen people that have come up with a plan for housing for the homeless and watched as cities or some other government entity disallows their free shelters with no alternatives and millions are still homeless.
    I trillion for infrastructure from Socialist Democrats and their partners Republicans for their lobbyists and backers who profit from the destruction of WE The People. That 70% of Americans who are dissatisfied is growing rapidly that only means the war in the streets is fast approaching. They are about to call in the United Nations forces and lock you up or kill you. Though they have proven in the past to be inept.
    One morning you will wake to no power, no internet, no water, no heat or air conditioning, no TV and the clocks will be out. Your city will be locked down and UN troops will be on every corner armed and that will be the end of freedom.
