I can't debate your claim that the UI is acceptable, but as to your FPS excuse for the camera, I'm here to tell you that is absolute nonsense. Everything else in the frame moves fluidly. The camera doesn't pick and choose which objects to refresh.
Definitely need a Bumper to Bumper warranty for this one....
Seriously. These european cars, especially the British, are becoming more and more disposable by the redesign. After this lease is up, I don't know who in their right mind would want to buy this thing. It is rather laughably ridiculous the build quality of Jaguar/Land Rover products in 2018. I don't understand why they can't get it right. They have the big money backing from Tata to be able to produce cars at the same quality level as Porsche or Audi for example. Anyone know why?

Leasing a Range Rover is the only way you should drive one. This thing will be so problematic in the future.
The RR shown in the video is like two months old if that. Clearly leasing won't prevent owners from experiencing screen meltdown. Sad, so sad, on a 2018 car.

Wow...the amount of stuff that can break/fail in this car is mad. Making everything touch screen is stupid in my opinion because you need to be looking at the screen to operate it unlike regular switches and knobs that you can feel. Touch screens are the same as using a smartphone while driving - distracting and dangerous. What if you just came in from the rain, hands wet, would the touch screen work? With woolen gloves? Its a 'cool' car that will definitely become a rage among the device crazy youth but ultimately its British engineered - heavy, unreliable and very expensive.

I like the Velar as a car; looks very nice. BUT the freezing problem shows exactly the problem that we will face in the next coming years daily. These things are computers. and they freeze. It happens with our laptops and phones, why should it not happen on the car. Sucks that such important features such as climate control are only configurable via a touchscreen. I would not care if it is navigation, music and other entertainment stuff. but the AC? just imagine it's a cold day, you are getting inside your car with heated seats and all the climate control features in the world; and then you have to freeze for a time because the coperating system crashed ;)
forget that, what id a glitch happends to the drive train, or the suspension or kills the engine... it is just lol
I have a bmw 5 for 6 years ,,-computers have never froze ,,, a Hyundai or a ford can freeze ,, a Range Rover is not supposed to do that
Fixed. PIVI PRO replacement system as of last year (across all their models pretty much) fixed all the issues. Way more reliable, way faster, better logic for the UI, etc.

Big Bird yeah for sure but the tailgate would not fit if aligned with the lights. it fits perfectly to the roof and the bumper. if you look closely you can see the lower part of the light fits also perfectly. all in all the messed up the tailgate, so the go with this weird fit

Just update the damn Infotainment Software and Vehicle Telematics, by enabling OTA updates. All the issues get fixed within a few minutes post installing the latest software update from Land Rover. You can't blame them if you are running on outdated software

Spend $87,000. Then plan on having your bank account chipped away little by little the moment your warranty expires. Nearly every Rover I've ever towed had been nickel and diming it's owner for as long as they'd had it. Quality control at Rover is crap but people who own them love them. Rover and Jaguar are two of the best things that ever happened for tow truck owner's and auto repair shops.

Is there any car on the market right now that lasts "a lifetime"? Obviously a car with that many amenities and electrical gimmicks will have something break after a couple years of use. They could built long lasting cars but they rather have you buy a new one every 1-3 years.
It's true for all luxury vehicles. I have owned Mercedes and BMWs. Today, they are disposable cars once the warranty ends. This is why I love my 1969 MB 280SL - it's a classic car and very simple to repair.

I know he loves LR but as far as I can tell they're literally all lemons. My dad's client's was in the shop for months because the dealer (the DEALER) didn't know how to fix the elctrical problems.

If a car brand is known for unreliability and their new car renders the climate control, seat temperature, seat massage, audio, navigation, ability to legally make calls while driving, driving modes, exterior view cameras, and most importantly the ability to email for the source code; completely useless then the quality shouldn’t be higher than half.
