As much of the fan boys hated the headlights on the 996's, they've aged well. A major reason they have so much hate is that Porsche did not stand behind the IMS issues at the time, having to be pushed to settle in a lawsuit. They could have easily made owners whole and avoided the weak link in the 996's perceived value
I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 66,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, varioram, LSD. No CEL, no oil leaks. Multi-show full-concours winner. I do my own maintenance. I'm never selling it.
