the kids are so open to new things because they TRUST their parents. It's a beautiful sight to behold. I'm in awe of this grounded, amazing family. Parents taking care of their own kids and teaching them life lessons. SO WONDERFUL!
Very well said. They’re beautiful children, well brought up and with a sense of adventure, open mindedness and cultural acceptance that is adorable. Well done parents and super well done kids !
I am a Hong Konger. I really love how you teach your kids to be super polite and also to give great food critiques. It's awesome that you guys are open-minded and try out all the authentic foods. Great video :)
I love how your family is open-minded to try new food. The kids do very well in describing the taste and texture as well. They are professional food critics in the making. Way to go, kids! 💪
I am a Hong Konger. I've been watching your videos about Indonesia for a while, can't believe you guys will visit HK, It is wonderful, welcome to HK anyway, enjoy your trips!!
Hi, I m hongkonger and I study culinary in Canada. In my class, most of the local students refuse to eat other countries food, even not give a try. So I am very appreciated your kids are so open minded and try different kind of food in HK. 👏👏👏👍 I am so missing HK delicious food😍
The way your children can appreciate good food is incredible. Your encouragement is so refreshing too. The way they are willing to try different foods too. Enjoy!
I love how the dad gives the kids new experiences, and a chance to express themselves without imposing his views on them or dictating to them, and how he give his opinion last so as not to influence them. That's great parenting.
i was born in HK but live in Australia now. It's so nice to see kids so open to trying this food :) I'd bet so many adults where I live would be so turned off by the textures
4:43 Wasabi is a type of mustard so we call it green mustard. 13:25 there’s pineapple bun and there’s pineapple bun with butter, so need to be specific when you order.
Your kids are willing to taste different foods and also willing to accept other cultures. It’s great, good for their life experience. I’m a Hong konger. Welcome to Hong Kong.😊
You guys are making me missing HK ahah and I love how the kids are all open to try different food and learn to share with others. It’s amazing how instead of pub crawl this is a food crawl best way to get the most in a place within a show period of time
Your kids are gorgeous and cute. They are quite adventurous on the food compared to many western kids even your cute baby Forest. Good job kids. Love ya all xxx
Your family are so lovely. Lil Forest especially. When he asked for his blueberry muffin! So impressed with your trying of snake soup...such a wholesome attitude to a more unusual but very traditional Chinese delicacy. Well done to you!
The cooking method is what we called 'lo mei'. Octopus is definetely my favourtie and comfort food. Hats off to your guys for being adventureous. I miss my home and comfort food.
I really love how open minded, respectful and adventurous you guys are!! The food vlog is amazing and I am mouth watering!! Hope you all have had a wonderful trip in hk🎉
Hello, I'm hongkonger. I am appreciate you introducing different kind of hong kong street food to everyone. And it’s nice to see foreigners enjoying our local food.👏🏻👏🏻
I accidentally saw your video and couldn’t stop watching when seeing your kids’ adventurous spirit! I liked the way both of you encouraged your kids to try new food! The ways they described the food were wonderful! I also like you didn’t just try the popular places showed on other travel Vlog but exploring other places like the locals, so in a way it’s refreshing to watch. Love your sweet family!
message from hong kong I really enjoy watching you guys to taste hong kong local food, and the kids are so good to be a host of food tour, very detailed. Keep going!
you raised them well, they seem to be so positive about food review. I wondered if they are longing to play with their peers instead of traveling all over the place.
Brilliant selection of HK street food - discovered you through this video (as a Hong Konger living abroad) and you have done HK justice! Your family is lovely and I love that your kids are so adventurous and appreciative of our cuisine! Have a great time
People in Hong Kong like to eat the pineapple bun for breakfast. The radish cake has some minced Chinese sausage called lap cheong and some dried shrimp in it which is why you get that little fish taste. The tofu pudding syrup is made from water, ginger, ginko nut and brown sugar or cane sugar.
Excellent! Keep on introducing good food to people! Small deeds with great significance ! You will save the economy of HK, as important as Superman!🎉🎉🎉👍🏼👍🏼🏆🏆🏆
I am from Hong Kong and I love this video!! Literally the ultimate guide for where to grab authentic food as those are the classic places that I would go as well! Love how your kids are so open to trying new foods and give good descriptions to others out there that hesitate to try.
i am from Hong Kong, the places you went to are all famous street food so you made excellent research on that. Love to see your kids all are open to try different food. Regarding egg tart, the filling is all blended egg, for the snake soup - inside are snake meat, winter bamboo shoot and black fungus, herd you mentioned are lemon leaves. For Tofu dessert - they have cold as well, next time may use google translate for your ordering, if you emphasis COLD, at least one waiter will understand what you are talking (as we start to learn English when we are 3 years old, but some don't speak fluently) Not sure you will try dim sum, wonton, dumplings.... Many delicious food here
Thank you so much for your kind donation to our family. We absolutely love being in Hong Kong! It's quickly becoming one of our favorite city’s to explore.
Hi, Dennis from Hong Kong. Glad to know you and your fam enjoy the food here. The pineapple bun you had does not come with butter. You have to order "bo law yau" (meaning pineapple bun with butter). It is amazing!
Mommy is very patient on waiting for everyone to experiment all the foods without eating them herself 👍👍👏👏🌹🌷. The kids are so cute , especially little Forest is soooo adorable ☺️
I have to say thank you to the algorithm for recommending your channel to me. Your kids are adorable. The way you teach your kids to explore the world is amazing. Please keep it going. Love to see your ongoing adventure around the globe.
Radish cake is my favourite, it is also a traditional food for CNY, made with radish, flour, dried chinese sausage or meat and some dried seafood like shrimp and scallop. Best with some sweet source or chilli sauce or XO sauce.
Cute child! you are a happy family, very happy! you can find good food everywhere in Hong Kong. Thank you very much for your sharing and welcome to HK.
Love ur video, im from hk live in Australia. Im so glad that ur family enoyingur time in hk and love the hk food. Ur kids are amazing,so open minded and try out all the different foods. They are great kids..❤❤❤
Amazing parent, u explained and encouraged ur kids to try different things in different culture , encourage them to express themself for comments afterward. Nowadays the kids just hide everything inside and never talk with others….. u are the best teacher for the kids! Especially ur wife seems a vegetarian… she is so patience.
There are so many different kinds of people in Hong Kong included southeast and southern Asian. Snake meat with chicken soup is a very old traditional dish since 150 years ago. These kind of restaurants closed one by one, fading away now……one day it will absolutely disappeared. We should respect their food culture. And you know, eating cow and pig organs are so common in many countries, at least the Hongkongers never eat whale, wild pig, deer, turtle, dog, cat, bat, rat, rabbit, horse, etc, and their culture and animal protection law is not allowed.
the kids are so open to new things because they TRUST their parents. It's a beautiful sight to behold. I'm in awe of this grounded, amazing family. Parents taking care of their own kids and teaching them life lessons. SO WONDERFUL!
Thank you so much!
Your English is so beautiful. I wish I could have your English teacher
