As a local HKer, I never considered having all three meals from Seven-Eleven, but I do enjoy grabbing some late-night dim sum from my nearby store after work or a night out. It's a comforting feeling and adds to the sense of security in the city. Btw, I really enjoyed your video with your lovely family! Keep up the good work :)
Your kids are so culturally open minded and willing to accept anything that arent "normal". This is very good for them when they grow up and look back at the time whehter they live in Indonesia or the travelling to different part of the world, they would appreciate more of the differences in every country. Granite will no doubt be a fine young gentleman when he is older and Cedar is going to be an exceptional young lady.
I was born in HK and I still proudly call myself a true 'Hong Konger', watching ur video really makes me miss HK. The last time I was back was 2015 for work and the moment I my flight landed, I would go to the street food and a 7 11 for heated up Vita malt milk drink. It really hits the spot😂
As a Hong Konger, I'm surprised by the variety of food choices in that 7-11, and the way that you placed them on the table even made it like a small picnic. Sometimes, when we have lived in a place for so long, we just ignore some wonderful small things around us. Thanks for the video and welcome to Hong Kong! *The meat inside the Xiaolongbao was pork instead of chicken, and the hot breakfast in the pot was actually instant noodles, not ramen.
I'm sure granite and cedar was like that to there baby brother when he was little also 😂 and by the way its cedar not cider like apply cider 😂😂😂 lol that was funny
omg this channel is my new harvest in 2024. 🎉 Your videos are really great. No need to add anything at all, simple, beautiful and unpretentious👍 completely feel how wonderful your family is. You respect the culture of each place and are very polite. Very happy to have you come to Hong Kong! Happy New Year to your family!🎉 Subscribed!
Another fun adventure from you guys which made me miss 7-11 as they are not available in the UK. Again I appreciate the children’s willingness to try everything. Kudos to you Jonathan for being brave with your food choices & not being a snob. This is why I love your channel & your amazing family. x
No matter where destination leads you guys after living in Indonesia,The way Forest said "Susu" rightaway when he refers to milk already make him a certified Indonesian forever for sure
Such well behave, grateful and polite kids you have, which is wonderful! The videos of yours shows how important good parenting is, it's never an easy task and you nailed it, good job! And welcome to Hong Kong😊 There still a lot hidden gems in Hong Kong to be found in Kowloon & New Territories area, the price is lower and the quality sometimes is even higher than in the HK Island & Central District...For example inside 葵涌廣場(Kwai Chung Plaza) there have a lot amazing food and drinks, the price is also pretty decent and down to earth...like 3/4 or half the price compare to Downtown Hong Kong Island, but it's more local, some of the shop don't have english menu, which is a problem, but still, a lot of places can be walk around and just enjoy the chill... Or maybe leave it for the next time, you have a lovely family, Good luck to your travelling! Stay safe😊
I love how all the kids even little Forest tries the different foods. So awesome. Everything looks delicious as always. Safe travels guys! See you one day in Ak! 😊
You should take your wife to a vegetarian restaurant there is so many in Hong Kong that is really good. Also, the vegetarian style Buffay that is extremely affordable
Yes, I feel bad she didn't find much vegetarian options especially she only found two small pack of tofu for dinner, I was so happy for her when the rice revealed itself XD
It’s really good to see that despite your wife being vegetarian you as a man is so calm when it comes to finding food because in Hk veg food is hard to come buy .
Wow! It's quite interesting to try 7-11 food. Some items are quite yummy, like some noodles and savoury snacks.😋 However, some microwaved food is a bit dry. Anyway, at least you can save some money to visit more scenic spots or try the rides. Enjoy your time in HK! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉
Just read that you are teachers, with your encouraging and enthusiasm- this doesn't surprise me. Taking your family on a culinary adventure must be so valuable and exciting too! You must try Café de Coral and Maxim's too.
I stayed in that hotel that you start the video across the street from and went to that 7/11 every day of my 2 week trip there! Such an amazing place, and I can't wait to return. The way of life and culture there was so refreshing to me and it changed my outlook on life for sure. So happy for you that you got to experience HK, and you're such an awesome set of parents for giving your kids that experience too!

I like your ideas of taking your family and your kids out to explore the world. I believe that is the best ideas for your kids to learn other cultures in real life. Also you must have done a lot of research before making your trip to places, and I don’t know 7 eleven have such a good snacks even though I was grown up in Hong Kong. Great jobs.
I've been to this 7-11 but a few times when I visited HK but never knew the variety of food choices there. I'll check them out the next time I visit there again. HK is famous for food choices so why not their 7-11s are stand out as well. Love the way your family share the food together. The only way to try everything possible. Thanks for the videos.
Next time, you can bring the food to the west Kowloon district, which is close to this 7-11 store. There are free seats and table located at the coastal line( hope they are still there). Amazing Seaview there. No entry fee😊
@18:57 the tea eggs are my fave. Great for a healthy little protein boost snack! Also, I often keep the left over liquid and store in my fridge. Then I will boil some more eggs at home and soak them overnight to enjoy again the next day.
I will buy snacks and drinks in 7-11 but not for a typical meal. Yet I really appreciate your family enjoying all the foods in Hong Kong. ❤Love to watching your video very much.
I am preparing my dinner as I am watching your video. You are making me really hungry!! That 7-11 chicken legs look so good, I will definitely give that a try!! Love your video and your adventurous family!
Welcome to my hometown Hong Kong!! The Chocolate cream bun was my childhood favorite!!! I used to have one almost every morning for breakfast when I was in elementary school.
Hi, I’m a Hong Kong citizen, but I moved to the a different country for a while, I love this video a lot, it makes me missed these Hong Kong 7-11 food so much, and u should try to put some curry sauce on the fish ball with the noodles, it enhances to the other level, and I would recommend u to try the rice ball (like the triangle thingy), they are not expensive but it tastes really good, and hope u and your family have a fun time in Hong Kong!
As a local hker, well there are indeed too many food choices in hk so I won’t spend 3 meals in 7-eleven. But this is a very interesting video. Hope u enjoy your trim in hk with your family and do try other food out of 7 eleven in hk!🙌🤩
