    Just did this upgrade to my Arrma Typhon. It is great!
    I purchased:
    - 1x trxxs 5525
    - 2x trxxs 5529
    The 5529 included the longer pivot balls and some washer/spacers. With this is had a complete set to perform the job.
    If you upgrade a Arrma Mega, you also need the 48x4mm turnbuckles AR330452.

      @gamercat7004 It will help a lot. All my RC friends does the same on all their Arrma

    Nice tips.
    I've see people use heat shrink on the balls to pack them out before, it seems to work quite well.

    • @LyhneRC
      @LyhneRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure I understand, do they put heat shrink on the balls when they are worn to make them fit again? Wont the heat shrink cause too much friction? And I guess they wear very fast or what? This upgrade is cheap and lasts much longer than buying new arrma balls

      @@LyhneRCyeah on the worn balls, it tightens the fit. The shrink does wear but you just replace as needed. Not as elegant or as permanent as your fix but helps as a stop gap

      @@GaveitagoRC I see, it’s a good field repair option 👍

    Hi there great work on taking out the excessive play, leading to a much better handling car. Take care and best wishes 😉😊😁

      Thanks John. Not only makes this the car better, the Traxxas parts lasts longer and is cheaper, a win win 👍

    Great video man. I hate when the wheels wobble like that. This is something I need to address on both the Typhon and Granite. Good idea going with Traxxas ball ends. My Granite has solid non adjustable link sets but the Typhon comes with adjustable turn buckles. I think I will try out some Traxxas parts on my Granite because even though the links have held up well there is no adjustments for the toe or camber.

      Thanks, I’m glad you found it useful. They lose ball ends makes the car handle bad. You will like this fix 👍

    Yeah I had that same problem with my bigrock. What I done was put all new fasteddy bearings in it and put the plastic links from the brushed typhoon cause the metal ones bend and put the hot racing pivot balls through it and I got mine a lot tighter felling.

      That’s interesting, what ever works for you is the best solution 😃👍, I chose Traxxas ball ends because I have them in 5 Traxxas cars and there are no problems with them and it was a cheap solution 👍

      Thanks, we have the big rock and granite. Both drives well and are “crash durable”, but when it comes to “wear durability” they are far from Traxxas 3S line 😱

    Anyone knows if the 5525 can also fit in the arrma 4s line ? I’m having a lot of slop

    • @LyhneRC
      @LyhneRC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I looked at the exploded views of both a 3S and 4S Arrma and all the ball ends seems to have different numbers. But the screw going through the eye of the pivot ball is 3mm for both 3S and 4S, so my guess it that you should be able to use TRX5525 also for Arrma 4S, but you might need more or less shims.
