I watched that one. I meant a full kit. 27ish bearings. Including the dreaded motor bearing. You do a great job with the videos. When I was new your videos would have saved me a lot of time. I'm sure you know the hub and motor module bearings go first.

I like how you cover Arrma rigs. The servo replacement is kind of a pain but as always you made it look easy. I always make sure to zero out my servos but I'll admit I don't always remember to set the end points. You just gave me something to do today. I think I should check all my cars. Great job as always. I haven't been to your channel in a while but it's a great place to go for accurate info on Arrma's.

Good tutorial on the servo change with the addition of endpoints! Most videos don't add that in. I saw your steering rate in the video. Any first timers make sure your steering rate is maxxed out when doing your end points. Excellent Video!
Great video Pal! Just did mine. Went ahead and put aluminum pivot balls in while I was at it. Only difference with mine was I had orange, red and brown wires. I used brown for ground but I did have to change the switch setting on my controller as it was backwards after I got done. Thanks again!

@@51-FS I usually will swap connections on my receiver first. Therefore, your wheel will control throttle and your trigger will control steering. This at least eliminates the chance of the steering components being bound up. Otherwise, testing other servo or receiver would be ideal.
Great video! I have my servo on the way. I also ordered a set of aluminum pivot balls, which include two for the servo links. I'll have to figure out the best way to get those installed.
I put blue threadlock on the screw. The screw, screws into the center of the spline on the servo…which is metal. Great question. Thanks for stopping by

@@phillybrc I just got my first Rc, it’s an arrma senton and I’m looking to upgrade some parts on it, I’m a little confused on what size pinion gear to use, I’m running a 20t not sure if it’s a good size for my senton.
the channel locks are pretty huge. I was at the races the other day and had to replace this part. Putting that servo saver 25 tooth onto that amazon servo, also 25 tooth, was a real pain in the butt. Had to muscle it but I got it on evenly. Being the same tooth count I would have thought it was going to be an easier fit.
@@phillybrc Would have been nice if that metal serve arm that comes with it fits in the senton. Unfortunately, the linkage is too low for that space so i had to good with that servo saver. But it's on, the screw is in, I think it should be good to go.
I believe you can use that arm if you cut a bit of the the receiver box out. Even so, you get any of the spring-loaded protection the saver provides. Good luck
Quick question I noticed you have the ST knob all the way to the left, mine all the way at to the right, and what is the function of that and how should I have it set when I am re-programming my ESC to factory settings
ST is "steering Trim". Ideally, this knob stays central. The ST knob lets you trim the steering if it isn't travelling straight, Have the ST knob in the middle then power up the RC, at this point install servo saver. Your ST knob will be far to one direction only if the servo wasn't in neutral position upon installing the servo saver. Hope this helps!

i bought these same exact parts from your link and i cant get the drag link to go onto the servo saver. the whole on the small side is too small for the screw. how did you do it??
Very nice, when are you going to upgrade to a Reef's 299LP servo? Also.. if your putting a cheap servo in there, do you really need a servo saver.. seems kinda redundant. Did you try taking apart the new servo to upgrade the two ball bearings, and properly grease all the spur gears? The bottom of my amazon servo had little balls of solder.. I blew them outta there! :o
Cheap or expensive, wouldn t you want to protect it? This way you don t get sent home broken down. My son and I have taken burnt servos apart to view parts, no solder balls in there lol
Thanks for the video. I bought the same servo and couldn't have done it without this video. But Im having an issue where my right/left steering is reversed and even reversing it on the throttle is making no difference. Wonder if you know anything about this?
You can reverse the steering with one of the switches on the radio. As for lacking reverse, go thru your esc settings again. Possibly unplugging has affected it. Hope it helps. Let me know.
Oh ya, Holding up great seriously. I use on im 1/8 6S Kraton too. I cannot complain at all. If you are sceptical, Try the blue 35kg version. I bought one, just waiting to install it.
My Typhon 3s was loosing steering randomly last 2 weeks. Like remote was turned off. I tried new batteries etc. last night it stopp again but when I got it back it move left fine but right barely moves and makes grinding sound. I was thinking bad remote but now we grinding servo. Any advice? I’ve never replace one
Grinding is never good. I usually open receiver box and and reverse how they are plugged in(trigger and steering wheel are now reversed) If it does the same thing, i d say your servo is gone.

@@phillybrc I replaced servo and it’s fixed. Another issue. I hit reset button on esc yesterday I lost reverse which I got back. But when I turn transmitter off the car goes full power into reverse. Never did this before. Any ideas? I’m stuck as can be. Going in hour plus

@@micikho1 It does fit, and you CAN use it, but it is not a “servo saver”. A servo saver is spring loaded and takes some of the abuse upon landings and collisions. The servo horn is direct drive and may break your servo. Up to you.

I did this with this exact servo and my steering is reversed. Fixed it with the button on the remote but the avc is unusable cause of this. What did I do wrong?
Oh man, this is strange. I ve never heard mention of the servo affecting AVC. That sounds like a receiver issue. open receiver and double check connections, make sure the the - (neg) is in the correct spot.
@@phillybrc I tried plugging it in both ways. Only worked the one way. Cause the motor is reversed the gyro turns the opposite way. Makes it spin out instead of stopping it from spinning out. So weird. I’m going to reverse the polarity at the plug and see what happens. I’ll let you know. Thanks for the reply bro.

I've got a question, I changed the steering assembly for the alu GPM and the drag link to the servo isn't part of that set. If I change the servo, is a drag link part of the servo pakkage? If not does anyone know a replacement for the plastic link, i want it to be alu. 😘

Don’t use channel locks boys, I just damaged my brand new servo from doing this. With slight pressure not much at all, think it will be fine just to put it on by hand and screw it down. It still works but Dosent sound normal anymore.
Hahaha. Honestly, I feel this is one of the more tedious repairs/mods on this vehicle. I feel a servo swap is much easier on most of my other brand rc’s. Thx.

They are big, what I had…a good way to come down square. I guess if it wasn t a pain in the butt, it would slip or skip teeth possibly. Thanx

It s a touch smaller , yes. I just applied a bit of pressure and the screw enlarged the hole. Make sense?

To my knowledge, any 25 tooth saver will do it. Options are Arrma, Hot Racing, Traxxas and Kimbrough. I m sure there are more I’m not aware of. Thx!
Oh, maybe i didn t answer your question...yes you can use the servo horns but they are longer and just may need to make some alterations.

I guess it s preference. If the torque is higher and still quick and responsive, it s good.

Your new servo requires 4.8 ~ 6.8 DC Volts. Meanwhile the original servo 6-7.4v . Is the stock Esc have BEC output?

ive got this red servo 20 g and and cant get red servo saver to go down on teeth of servo?
You need to figure out if the servo and the servo saver have the same number of teeth. If so, push down hard!

@@phillybrc I was trying to find a video for the arrma that I have. TH-cam/Google keeps giving me the wrong one. It is as if no one even has this version... But I figured out how to do it my self last night.

@@phillybrc ATX100 but everything keeps leading me to the same videos which non of them are this model. Maybe they are hiding
