- Finally, I was ready to take a short ride on this machine to see if my efforts had been worthwhile. Originally, I had intended to ride up out of the village, then turn left for Llansadwrn - the next village - and come back via the Roman Road. however, a pre ride try out up and down the lane put paid to that when I realized just how low geared this machine was! With that in mind, I decided a 2 way Roman Road trip would suffice! Here is how that went ...
Perfect for the 20mph rule.😂
dog got you this time saying cant out ride me mr paul !! woof woof heheheehh love it
That is one low geared machine! I reckon the dog took pity on you and let you pass.
Ideal for 20mph limits!
The Welsh export model😆
G'day Paul, my Dad, had a 1954 Matchless 350cc trials bike and he had two gear boxes one for the road and the very low gearing box for trials competitions, Dad was a master at climbing rocks, miss the Old man still, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.
So, this is the only bike I’ve seen you ride, that would make top gear in the driveway into your shop.😅
Well it got you therre and back, just not very quickly, a very unique bike.
Wow,that gearing really would allow you to climb a brick wall! 😊
At this moment in time, I can't think of a funnier 'cycle-scene', than that of two riding friends...one on this extreme, low--geared handful, the other on a tall-geared Gold Star.
It's more like an automatic!!! Pop it into top and forget it, hey!!!
Good grief, that gearing is deadly.
Good for pulling tree stumps I guess. Thanks !
Lovely little contraption, beautiful.
Why does it always sound like the bikes are back firing on the test runs? Maybe something in the video recording? Thanks Paul for the videos of these old bikes. I love them.
Thanks - and yes, it is just the way the camera picks up and proccesses the sound to go with the videos.
Gorgeous bike!
Pretty cool olde bike, i got a kick out of seeing this 49er flying down the road & got to thinking that as i'm a 48 model i should feel quite fleet of foot doing 20 mph . Thanks for the video, i shall look forward to you sorting the little bike out as i feel quite sure you will. Ric, ontario canada, say hi to your pal of four legs for me.
…a dirt bike as opposed to a cruiser the way it’s geared…
Paul, how long has “Bugger Off” been chasing you?🤣 The trials replica is once again alive! I’m glad to see the main seal mod worked! Sure dodged a bullet on that primary chain!👍
Sad to say but one of the reasons that I like watching the road tests is to see if Gnasher Buggeroff comes out to say,”Hi!” I think of him as Paul’s buddy.
@@kernelsidedish There is something about our attachments to our dogs! I give Paul 👍👍 for not running over him! Either way “Bugger Off” is a member of the community!
Can it go fast enough to cool the engine? I suppose you won't be testing this one up the Black Mountain.
From what you pay for gas, the roads should be in immaculate condition.
Drakeford bike😊
Still too fast for that drip!
Nice dog . Is that your yellow car with a tarp over it?
The dog is annoying when I'm on a bike and neither he or the car are mine, thankfully!
Climb walls on that.
Definitely a trials machine, up the Roman road to the pub & back is about as far as I would want to travel on it . I have noticed that dog never seems to chase you as far as the rail crossing ,where you stop to check for trains .
Sounds like a concrete mixer
No, THIS sounds like a concrete mixer ...

Ha ha ha ha ha I bet you had to take a different route so no one saw you, that should have been a 10 minute drive 😂😂😂😂
