I think it comes down to who you are asking. Because if you ask a non-watch person (AKA 99% of people), to them a Reverso looks like a $40 watch.

Yup. I've found the more flashy or gaudy a watch is, the more chance someone from the general public will compliment it. My Omega gets way less compliments and attention than a cheap Chinese watch I have.

I love my Maurice Lacroix Aikon. Great value for the money. I wear it as much as my Rolexes. It gets more compliments that my IWC Portugueser and Tudor BB Chrono.
That Maurice Lacroix, the bronze case really lends itself to the green dial. A perfect collaboration. The William Wangen, if you look carefully at the "finishing" of the elements of the dial and the "finishing" of the movement from the rear, it screamed inexpensive watch.
There are a couple of AliExpress (Chinese marketplace) watch brands that actually make quite decent looking and quality watches, especially for the price... but they ruin it with the brand names, logos or font type used, which is kind of a pity, because that's gonna be the difference between wanting to give it a go or wanting it to burn in hell pretty much. You should do an episode on the weird brand names out there and see who can find the worst. xD
San Martin (the newer watches from them) and Pagani Design have good quality watches and a nice brand logo in my opinion

The Reverso is the perfect “luxury” watch to wear in cities like London. You can flip it around go to work and come back home with your arm still intact.

I systematically underestimated the value of all of these, even the Hamilton. I even guessed the Mazzuoli at 150 quid because it looks like a ronda quartz watch.
William Weiner is well-known to be part of the holy trinity of watches.

I guessed £50 for the Wangen. A few years back there were automatic watches with Golden Bridge style movements available on ebay for about £20. Similarly bling.

Too bad for all your other viewers. I was overcome by the William Winner watch and went out to AliExpress and Alibaba and bought all their stock. Every last one. That's the power of a great watch.
Fun. You can get the JLC Duoface auto for around $12K which may be the best premium watch buy in the world right now I think (for the watch, not the resale BS). JCL is (I believe) above Trinity - why else would they have used JLC 2120 movements in their products? @NicoLeonard should perhaps be calling JLC "God Tier" (but Casio and Rolex are tattooed on each ball and that's painful and expensive to remove, so we understand) 😀

Loved the Mazzuoli. Disliked the Manometro lettering. Both Kerning and tracking are out of whack. Fix proto, and I'll buy one tomorrow
I think this series is backwards. You should do "more expensive than". And you get penalized when going over.
That way you have to really avoid over shooting.
Everyone knows its easier to see a normal watch that goes for 35k than Orient-esque and thinking it costs 5k

For the Reverso you can see If it is Quartz or Manual. The Quartz has no structure on the dial. and Manual Always has structure...also shown on your different pictures.
