Good plan. Your current address is a very good location, and the large house is very homey, livable. I think it is better to invest in a condo in Cebu rather than Manila. Cebu is still growing and very popular with locals, Japanese and Korean tourists. If you can make arrangements with the owner re long term lease where you are at now, you can update the 2 houses there, add your artistic touches, the smaller one can be turned into an income house too. Hopefully, developers do not flock to Siargao and build monster developments, then there goes the neighborhood. Boracay, Panglao have been through that, El Nido is starting to be eaten up by developers (mini, midi, mega sizes). Maybe the local gov't has a different view of how things should develops. So far I like how Siargao is developing.

Eden was euthanised in Surigao City on Mindanao. They left straight afterwards for Butuan otherwise they would have encountered covid travel restrictions. They have never said what happened to her remains. It would be lovely if one day they could create a garden area in Eden's memory.

Kale isn’t really that common in the Philippines. I would say, since it’s become popular around the world - it just recently became popular around big urban cities in the Philippines, too. We do what you call the Kang Kong or water spinach. That’s what we make into crispy chips and even adobo (adobong kang kong).
