  • In this episode of Crime Watch Daily: A beloved police officer shot on duty by her own husband. Was he suffering from PTSD? Or was this killing a methodical murder? Plus, a boxer sabotaged in Las Vegas and murdered. Was this a random act of violence? Or a crack at the man's life insurance policy?

32:45 Josh was a fool thinking he was going to make it in Las Vegas, he had meh looks and prob thought that instead of getting a job, that he would eventually larger roles other than straight to DVD movies and commercials, he and his GF lived off of dimes and pennies.. so a desperate Josh tried to mingle and ended up with fishy people to seem as if he had 'made it'. His so-called friend Don Juan, who was obviously a shady player who was able to get a mansion im sure with shady gained money, fake lawsuits etc, so he assumed a Mentor role ricked the doofy Josh into signing this and that for life insurance, getting into silly stuff like selling T-shirts - how gullible can a dude be, so he didnt even run this by his girl, prob so she wouldnt question him. Did she even know he and Don Juan were even collaborating?..
sheesh when I was in my teens i tried to roll with cool shady people who were slick and hung out late, and i got nowhere. Josh AND his girl couldn't even put their heads together to avoid danger. Question - why didn't his girl go all out with the cops and investigate Don Juan, she seems to have given up easy after it all went down.
Edit: a few times in my life I've found myself associating with people from the south side of the tracks, people who never had money, needed rides here and there, wanted to see if i could loan them my computer, if i could drive their mom's cousin's ex-boyfriend to a job fair, and other odd requests.. i disassociate myself quickly because when you'r in too deep with people like Don Juan, things can get nightmarish before you know it, so i keep many people at arm's legnth

@@amooralkansa9291 I'm not from America and am unaware of that particular murderers military service history.
Saying that, one of my good friends escaped Afghanistan and came to my country as refugees. Her Mum, Dad and four sisters have given me an insight into Afghanistan that we obviously don't hear from mainstream media. What her family have gone through seeing what was done to Kabul, where they had lived and still had family living there...then being captured by the Taliban was beyond heartbreaking for them. The most decorated and highly regarded military serviceman from my country has been stripped of all his accolades as other men who served with him came out and told the truth about his multiples of murders of innocent villagers and farmers. One particularly vile incident involved him killing an innocent man who has a prosthetic leg. He took the false leg as a trophy and was filmed that night celebrating and drinking beer from it! Tragically there are so many of these stories that have now come to light. The men who have told the truth have had death threats etc... as apparently they are meant to keep the secrets of these war crimes to themselves... And as you mentioned 'Come home as heroes'. Our government has paid millions in compensation to so many families whose innocent loved ones were murdered by our military personnel. This obviously never makes up for the father's, sons, uncles etc being murdered. It'll never bring them back. I can't imagine how many murders have never been reported and gotten one iota of justice for their loved ones. I also understand how some people who were very young when they've watched their innocent fathers, brothers, uncles etc be murdered by western military servicemen grow up with absolute hate for the west and want revenge.
I obviously don't know your age, background, experiences or where you live now,vI sincerely hope that you are living a good life. Take care mate.

Josh’s story hit hard. My boyfriend was also murdered in Las Vegas. Fortunately, his murderer was apprehended. I had to move out of that city because there were so many memories. A lot of good memories tainted by that terrible night. I found out he was going to propose that year. It’s devastating losing someone, but even worse when it’s in such a brutal way. The what if’s and what might have been is an endless dark hole that can be tough to climb out of. I also have a box full of everything that belong to my boyfriend. His cologne, his shirt, his last pack of cigarettes… I still love him and think of him often. I have not opened the box in years, but when I do, it feels exactly like she said. Like he was just here, but again like it was so long ago. It’s been almost 14 years. I really hope they bring Josh’s killer to justice.

I don't even know how people are capable of stuff like this, when I act up I just wanna sleep or lay down and cant even talk. What really happened was that it never had to do with ptsd in stuff like this. Just like every criminal in prison, he had an angry moment, and with years of build up hatred, spite, and anger internally led to this person making this horrid and monstrous decision just like how the person he was. Like what you said, he already had it in him. I have never acted up violently in my years of having PTSD and I'm speaking this from the perspective of someone that was institutionalized and went through every form of therapy including exposure. Also having the amount Josh earned from his t.shirt "partnership" revealed over the internet, cable or streaming platforms ( not very tech savvy), and that d**khead still didn't return any to Josh's heartbroken widow (married or not) to help with funeral expenses or simply, because IT'S JOSH'S! Just goes to show what a complete selfish POS he really is, and that he's free to do it to someone else when he feels enough time has passed and he thinks everyone is over Josh now!!

The voice-over told us who did it right off the bat: Husband texted her worried about hearing about an officer down, much later he called dispatch saying he was worried, then fellow officers go and find her, at that point they put out the call of an officer down - note her husband's first text to her said he had heard about this officer down call "Before it Happened!"😠!

I am not defending him!! PTSD can be very dangerous for the closest people to the soldiers. My grandma married a wonderful man in the Air Force, their station was moved to Germany. After 3 back to back deployments, he went nuts. There were many stories, I'm going to share the two that could have easily ended her life. The first was when he held her hostage in their closet at gun point for three days. The second, he threw a knife at her head, it was close enough that it cut off some of her hair and cut her ear, it went through a painting and stuck in the wall. He did these things so many times that she hid money around the house for my dad and aunt for what they needed. After a year of begging the air force for help and no help received, a neighbor helped her and the kids get back to America and file for divorce. The air force's answer to my grandmother,.... This is a domestic situation and needs to be handled in the home.. or maybe she should try a little harder.... Our soldiers are coming back from war mentally damaged and need help...

The story In Wisconsin has all the makings of a brutal senseless murder, religion, guns, and a cowardly jealous husband. The second story reminds me of my grandfather who was also a semi professional boxer who was murdered by a local mob outside of his house back in the 60’s.

I really like the style of repeating the facts over and over. I kept forgetting where the policewoman was shot so what a relief to be reminded multiple times. However I wasn’t too clear about how the husband reacted to his wife’s murder when he was in the interview room. What was that he flipped over again?

  • @blyt5046
    @blyt5046 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

I knew it was the husband because he sent a text message to her stating babe are you OK because they said a officer was down in tosa. Now after the third message he called the station and no one knew where she was she didn’t answer. And then of course two officers happened up on her because that’s where they would go to finish out their paperwork and reports. How would he know there was an officer down if the police department didn’t know. He was so busy trying to cover his tracks that he jumped the gun.
He didn’t have PTSD , or any of that he planned it he just screwed up when he wrote that text message. He is a snake and a psychopath.

His story makes no sense: if he was trying to keep her from committing su!c!de because she said she would do it if he did first, then why didn't he end up doing himself too? why ambush her somewhere away from home if you always planned on dying anyway? He was definitely trying to make it look like a random robbery for a cop's gun or something.

I lived a block away from this shooting at the time...on Church St. (Dec 24, 2012) when I woke up that morning, I saw the blue police lights blinking through my shades and thought the neighbors across the street had installed beautiful Christmas lights overnight...that is until my mother, who lived downstairs in the duplex, called to tell me the police were at her door and wanted to talk to both of us. I ran downstairs as fast as I could only to tell them with the cold, our windows were all closed and we heard nothing.
The police command post was near our backyard. (We lived on a corner.)
Btw, the "beautiful blue lights" I'd seen were the 4 squad cars blocking the intersection in front of our house.
Mom, the best murder mystery detective in the family suspected the husband immediately--because of the facial shots.
This was 11+ yrs ago, but seems like just yesterday. 😢

As soon as they said the Husband Ben was a Combat Veteran with a Purple Heart and then she was shot twice in the back of the head and three in her face, I had a gut feeling he did it. The double tap is taught in military or police training and the 3 in the face is personal rage or anger against the victim. With the CCTV to corroborate too? Dude might as well have waved at the cameras and did a little dance. 😑 Rest in Peace officer Sabena. ❤ The world is a little less safe, happy and bright without your light.
