Otsu and thank you so much for the long stream Really happy to see Flare joining and making lots of progress today! It's always satisfying to see IRyS learning and improving so fast in games Big thanks to Flare giving so much tips and accompanying IRyS as there are really a lot to learn about, and it might be a bit overwhelming for new players soloing. Also while IRyS is easily firegassed and distracted, it's hard for her to look through walls of comments saying different things while playing.
Some general tips that may help you clearing Nergigante and hope these could help you a bit: 1.-Forging new high rank armours for higher defense whenever you feel getting too much damage from every hits 2.-Hunters have base HP of 100, eating/nutrient potion/max potion can increase up to 50 maximum HP, and always keeping it max will improve your survivability greatly. Skill "Health boost" can increase a separate amount of max HP of up to 50 according to skill level so it's good to have 3.-Same for max stamina, eating/supply ration/well done meat can increase up to 50 max stamina, always use the supply ration before hunting/after carting if your max stamina can be further increased 4.-While running to the opposite direction of monsters when Not holding weapon, your dodge action will give a much longer invincible time than rolling and it is useful to help you to avoid damage and getting out of danger.

If I can offer a bit of old knowledge for picking armor, start by picking the ones with the highest defense you can get, *then* decide based on your skills. Anything with ATK, DEF, HP, or Stamina boost skills is a must, anything with Weakness Exploit or Crit Boost is also pretty handy for your Swaxe. Grab a charm that'll boost any one armor skill that you want stronger after that. Lastly, you can upgrade all your armor with Armor Spheres, you should have a ton from completing Bounties by now
There's more min maxxing you could do, but this much should see you having a way easier time against Nergie next time! Happy Hunting!
I've sort of been playing along on a new character and hit the Nergi wall too but I got to say you're doing amazingly! We'll both get our revenge soon enough

Herb, Honey, Bitterbug, Blue Mushroom, Mandragora. Crafting Mega Potion and Max Potion(max HP buff). All you can find in Ancient Forest.
Demondru(Potion, Catalyst+Might Seed) for Atk buff and Armorskin(Potion, Catalyst+Adamant Seed) for Def buff.
Also Mega Barrel Bomb=Large bomb+Devil's Blight, Farcaster, Flash Pod.

That was such an amazing stream for various reasons. But going in order...
I love the fact that you didn't use the guardian set and you kept going at your own pace with your equipment while also accepting advices around and asking chat and others about the game. You're really enjoying it how it's supposed to be and I appreciate you so much for that. Usually new players tend to rush everything in low/high rank and get to iceborne (I actually did that recently) but you're getting the basics so well!
It's simply fun to watch you hunting on this game, been wondering about you playing it for one year and I'm glad that Flare got you into it. By the way I love the friendship between you two and how comfortable you are with each other, it's something that I treasure just by witnessing it! Feeling you happy is one of the things that makes me glad about life in general.
This gamer pride that you displayed is one of the traits that I like the most about you. That boss fight with Nergigante is not an easy one but you definitely played it better than me when I gave it a try recently (in the end I asked for help lol). I think you have high chances to beat him on your own (you just need some better equipment) and the way you use your switchaxe really improved during this stream. You're positioning yourself better and you also managed to make many cool combos :D!
I couldn't stop laughing and going aaaw to your reactions to Dodogama xD honestly I would have gave you a big hug and spin around just for that, he's the cutest monster of the game in my opinion (I never had the courage to slay one, the max was to capture it ^^). Also during some expeditions he saved me from other monsters a few times already lol.
And to finish today's comment... Thank you for everything you do. You're always one of my biggest motivations to overcome walls in my life and I'm proud of what you do in general. Keep going strong dear nephilim, you will always be my oshi and I'm glad I'm able to like you so much, that itself is some sort of a small miracle for the type of person I am.
PS: You should check the dodogama plushies, there are a few around that are so adorable :D!

Welcome to High Rank, where all of your previous gear is worthless! Good job today IRyS, you got a lot done and I'll be waiting for that revenge match against Nergigante. Definitely farm some HR armor, doesn't matter too much since Iceborne will have even more new and better armor.
Now for some not so "proper backseating", the Tailraider Safari is in your Room and will let you send out teams to various zones to collect different monster parts, the game will show you which monsters are in each zone, after a few missions they'll return. Again definitely use the Harvest box to stock up on any crafting materials you need for new potions. And now that you're actual HR, very soon you'll get access to a LOT of event quests, including the Mega Man quest "A Rush of Blood". There is also a quest "A Visitor From Another World" and I would love to see you do this one on stream, as it can only be done once. Good luck with Nergigante next time, because true horror awaits after.

Good hunt, Hime The sudden Fla collab was fun and glad she was able to teach you some MonHun stuff and boy did time flyby
Generally beta sets are nicer because of the flexibility of deco customization. But there are some really nice skills in some alpha armor. Like I think the Bone a set is just generally really useful for most builds to build around early on because of all the attack skills on it. Also, check out if you can craft Armorskin (defense buff) and Demondrugs (attack buff) because those are just nice to have for tough fights. And register some bounties at the resource center (where you select investigations). So you have some side objectives that will get you some resource points and armor spheres, while you grind/hunt.
But yeah, otsu! looking forward to the revenge against Nergi

I don't mean to be rude, but I noticed a considerable increase in the amount of Japanese on streams even when there are no JP members and it's getting kind of rough. 🙇
you might not be aware but IRyS has JP audience as well. And in this stream, Flare is with her on the stream a majority of the time and that also means Elfriends are also here.

It just game stream, you can understand what she did or what she meant,
it's not deep talking, just meaningless yapping, not everything need to be translated, and she's not your personal translator..
What's wrong with this western mentality that demanding everyone to speak your language..

@@ChonchI64 Yes, that is why there are also members of the community who does live translation on the live chat, albeit with delays and not 100%. Also, IRyS introduces herself before as both fluent in EN and JP so she showcases that to her audience regardless if she decides translates afterwards or not. We as her audience will just have to learn to understand a bit of JP to at least understand the context or just watch the stream regardless of not understanding what has been said. That is me as well most of the time.
