Agreed. I really love the Charge Blade in World-Iceborne... It's my first time using it and I loved it ever since.
Essentially, Charge Blade is just another version of the Long Sword, mechanically. Think about it.
You hit to get charges for a certain "gauge" and then use those gauge to get a level in another stage of that "gauge" and then from that stage, unleash a powerful attack. It's the same principle here. People just prefer Long Sword for it's insanely good mechanics for Parrying-High-Risk-High-Reward, and that it looks Anime as fugg and it's awesome. Charge Blade is just a slightly defensive version of it. With the shield and Guard Points instead of Parries. Think about it.

I enjoy most weapons, but when I picked Charge Blade as my main, I never looked back

I watched just until the first Zora Magdaros hunt, but I was amazed by how much you already improved using the Charge Blade. One CB tech(if it isn't shared yet) I can share is the weapon has a maximum of +2 Guard skills(+1 for a charged shield and +1 for guard points). This is important to consider for endgame skills as you might waste skills slots. Guard I would say is essential for CB since most of your gameplay would rely on it if you will continue SAED spam. Some huge monster attacks will stagger while guarding which will prevent you from following up with an SAED. Don't forget to also have Guard Up since there are unblockable monster attacks too.
Anyways, enjoy playing through MHW and we'll definitely enjoy watching you having fun as well!!

I know about the guard levels on guard point, but is that a new thing to World or has that always been a charge blade thing? Is Wilds likely to do the same thing?
I started playing since MH Gen and it already had that tech since, except the shield has 2 different charge options, a yellow charge which has lower guard and the pink charge which has batter guard. Also, the shield loses its charge after you do an SAED so it was a lot of work getting your charges lol.
@@pottie-kun sounds like CB has had a lot of QoL added since then.
@@pottie-kun nope, back then people don't do SAED. Only very few specific encounter that SAED is okay (like Akantor vs Dragon elemental CB in 4U).
And MHGen/GenU completely botched what made CB great in 4U, you completely lose ability to skip to AED/SAED after a guard/guardpoint, they also nerf hard SAED dmg that it barely do more than single phial AED but still lose the shield buff.

This is the highlight for me. I love the Charge Blade in MH:World. It's my first time using that weapon and I loved my experience and playthrough with it. I never got to experience that weapon in previous titles, because they were in Nintendo Consoles that I couldn't buy back then. I'm glad to see the CB clicks with her after learning it for a bit. She's a quick learner. I'm so happy she learns it.

The charge blade is not hard to use, but hard to master
@@MinhNguyen-hz2znI’d say it’s the opposite. Took me FOREVER to learn how to use it. Took me three separate attempts in each game for three different games for it to finally click. It’s insanely difficult to learn how to use it, but once you learn it, it’s MUCH easier to master.
So it is real....ppl have actual doctorates in CB....Im lookin at you Asriel,that looks like a full on dissertation

mh rise is the easiest charge blade and is simply the best
I actually just returned to MHW two days ago and Biboo has inspired me to pick up and learn charge blade. It took several hours of practice but I feel I’ve gotten comfortable with it and it’s very fun. Great stream Biboo.

You picked up Charge Blade SUPER fast, seriously. Being able to understand the concept of guard points and then naturally implementing them into your gameplay within a few minutes is nothing short of incredible. It was so much fun watching and hearing your excitement at landing SAEDs and knocking over big monsters, and I'm glad that we're playing World because it's one of my favorite MonHuns.

glad you've taken a liking to charge blade! one thing about SAED, you can sort of aim it right before you do it. the weapon definitely was a lot to take in first for me, but you picked it up really quick! Proud of you! If you ever play Rise again, CB is super fun in that game as well!
