Just wanted to say thank you 🙏🏻 for the video I got the whole swap done and went to start it and wouldn’t start I scoward TH-cam for ideas and even replaced my starter but ur grounding the grey wire (neutral safety switch) fixed it no problem and I got to drive my car home from my buddys so thank you again
Like the build. Just wanted to say, there is a factory riser for the manuals that the shifter box bolts to. About an inch tall, helps with cable angle. I have 2 5spd one's. lowered blk one and lifted white one. And after watching ur video. Made me think maybe a manual swap for my sonic blue auto. Keep up the content
👍, I couldn't get my self to spend 140 on the oem riser, so .. . There's a 24 dollar steel jeep transmission pan under there, its solid and I'm 100% happy with. Lol. I left alot of details out of the video, if enough people ask, I would happily go through everything not covered, thanks for sharing!
Hey Donny , i did the swap, thanks for showing where to find and ground the grey wire , it started right up no problems, just need a quick brush up on how to get the reverse lights to work , if you can show the process of how you got them to work , thanks for the great info
Excuse any ignorance and any response is appreciated. when you grounded the Grey wire was it the Male or Female connector? I forgot to pull my N.S.S off my auto trans but I grounded the Grey wire at the plug. I should be able to hook up the N.S.S and it'll fire or is there a Grey on that end aswell?
did the swap thanks for neutral switch bypass i did this on 97 how to keep check engine light off due to auto sensors i have complete obd2b dash harness and ecu pluse engine harness but really dont want to swap the harness
I purchased the first piece of the puzzle for mine today. Found a mint shifter, boot, handle, and plastic/carpet trim to try and make it look as OE as possible. Still debating if I should skip the b20 5 speed in favor of a b18 trans for less weight since it was already a 2WD car.
@@Donnythelatemodeltechgetting closer to pulling the trigger and getting started with the swap. I have a transmission and ecu lined up to complete the pile of transmission parts. Hey Donny, first off, good job on the swap. Just had a few questions for you. I have a 2000 CRV that I completed the swap on with the manual engine harness and ECU but still the auto/cabin harness. Everything seems to be powering up fine but I get no crank because obviously the neutral safety switch. Is there a way I can feed power to the switch off the interior harness for the ECU or bypass? Or would you suggest just going back to the auto engine harness and grounding the gray wire? Thanks
I know you've probably fixed it by now but you're going to just want to cross the neutral safety switch wires. That way the car thinks it's always in neutral. Just remember to never start in gear and you'll be fine.
Did you use all the automatic harnesses ? How were you able to get by the neutral safety switches ? What did you need to do wiring, ecu wise to get it running please any information would help
You pull the driveshaft and it's front wheel drive. Also the fwd manual can be integra or civic b series b16, b18, gsr trans... They never made a manual fwd crv lol

It will run on the auto ecu and harness. Recommend to take the manual wiring , throttle body and ecu…. The idle is a little low with the ac on … has some thing to do with load sensing , increasing idle with ac and power steering . I’m sure it was a harness thing, but never really figured it out because I swap in a p28 and started tuning and have idle controls . I did run and manual ecu and throttle body trying to figure it out- it’s something in the harness.
