Most 3rd party controllers: “I can do whatever the official one can, except scanning amiibo!” This controller: “I have amiibo inside me…” XD This is really cool, though, especially since a lot of amiibo are no longer available. But I’m surprised Nintendo would allow a 3rd party product with such a function to be made and sold.
honestly i am surprised Nintendo haven't thought of making one for themselves fo those that can't afford Amiibo plus they are using Amiibo less and less these days so it would be an easy way to cash in on it.
@@FuryousD Knowing how much Nintendo overprices their products, I guarantee if they made a controller like this it would probably cost a stupid amount of money. Like as much as a console itself.

Interesting I was on the fence about this controller I recently just upgraded from a 3rd party Joycons to the official Joycons last month just so I could use Amiibo's but I am definitely buying this controller this month as it will be a game changer for Animal Crossing New Horizons being able to have everything in one controller.

It’s been around for a while and nothing, and if you bought it now, you’d still have access to all the latest amiibo, just if it does get shut down, nothing for there on.
I got that controller I just updated to version 1.1.8 but the new instructions say run program than plug in controller then ctrl alt p together then update all then wait ten minutes then where it says save do not save click cancel then it says as a new one use a pin at the back of the controller and reset the controller to make sure it works properly. I got all pdf files updated so I do not need to be online to look at the list.
i love Amiibo but they aren't always below $55 which is the cut off for how expensive i will pay out for them and they also aren't always stocked at my local games store or even online (they are much more expensive online) so this would be a godsend if they are constantly updating the website per game basis since i hate not being able to access exclusive items in games. atm i need the Fire Emblem Amiibo for Fire Emblem Engage as the outfits and songs are locked to the specific Fire Emblem Amiibo which i have none of.
Considering my Pro Controller broke in less than 9 months, under normal use, I'm buying this. Nintendo has agreed to fix my Pro Controller for free. The Switch is fun, but Nintendo really blew it on the Pro Controller and Joy Cons. I've almost never used the Joy Cons on my OLED Switch, yet somehow they still drift, even after calibration. I don't get it. Is it the Joy Cons, the OLED Switch, or something wrong with the software? Do some people get good Switches that don't drift, while others get inherently flawed systems?
My only gripe is the left analog stick is below the directional pad instead of above it like the normal pro controller. It's awkward, being used to Xbox One and Switch Pro Controllers for so long.
agreed, although i am used to playing with Playstation controllers so its more the flipped face buttons that are still the problem (the one problem with nintendo's controllers really, other than drift)
The same as of now. Small lag. No update patches yet. Calibrate does fix drift if you have it. Each release = another amiibo. Updating the Amiibos fr them. They made the new files separate so it does not reset any. It's good for amiibo use, for controller use rn no.
The 8-point stickyness is a major bummer for me. The amiibo gimmick is great and the design is nice, but the sticks... Idk I tend to value sticks precision more tbh.
That's a pretty unique idea! It makes it a lot easier to use amiibo when you don't have to go looking for them.

Just like the cards, Nintendo can't shut all 3rd party creators. Especially since the majority are working out of Shenzen.

Does this controller have a function that smart phones don’t? Why is it that there’s no way to only use a phone to ping an Amiibo into a game?

Get that, limited to joycon though as if you want a controller you need a Pro + cards which is more expensive.

Pretty ugly controller with a nice gimmick... I think there are key ring thingies that have a bunch of amibo and an app for nfc phones to program..
