It feels like they only exist for the latest HW and both AMD and nVidia are about to release new HW, making even the latest owners of GPUs last gen.
In this version of the drivers, there are issues with OBS, most likely related to the encoder. When starting a livestream on Twitch, the stream works for 1-2 minutes and then shows "Stream OFFLINE," even though OBS indicates that everything is fine and the stream is ongoing. There are also issues when recording video in OBS, with a 1-2 second black screen in the VLC player.

I've run into an issue with a specific game, Monster Hunter World. The game will freeze up the whole PC when loading into the game world. Looking at Steam discussions showed others also have this issue after the driver update. Thankfully, this can be avoided by using DirectX 11 rather than 12 in the games' main menu settings, so the game is still playable. It's just now broken while using DirectX 12 for some reason

Been using AFMF2 in Cyberpunk and it is better than the built in fsr frame gen that's actually in the game settings which is ridiculous, using AFMF2 at either native res or XESS 1.3 in ultra quality mode looks amazing for cyberpunk and I'm getting consistently around 120fps with high settings and ray traced reflections in Cyberpunk 2077 using a 6950xt
Timeout and crash on Warhammer 40K SM2 on RX-7900XT is definitely not fixed on this release. Alot of people are getting crash to desktops when playing operations mode.

@@Rockovissi to begin with simple auto-undervolt on my 7900xt (1075mV). For instance GoW Rag hits easy 171 fps this way and it used to be like 95 ish? If game options aren't good enough just enable afmf2 for that single game.
@@vx53c It’s a driver issue. 24.5.1 is completely fine, 24.6.1 onward same games that were fine are now clearly performing poorly. I wasn’t sure if maybe it was a setting conflicting with AFMF. But I think it’s just the driver.
this driver for my rx 6800h is a god send for me i adore it so much now it has improved the framerate for me like crazy now. and one thing i feel like amd could do and i know it would take them a year or a few motnh's to release that driver to us but what if they focused really hard for let's say 3 4 month's adn fixed hundreds and hundreds of issues with every current cpu out here in this world and relase that driver to us?

Only thing we need now is FSR4 on the 7000 cards and up.
Thank you for the effort, I believe AMD has acknowledged your effort in supporting us Radeon owners. More power to you Fabio...
AFMF2 is da bomb!
I love what you do Fabio. Hopefully all the issues regarding moving will soon be resolved. The new studio is looking great. In fact it's bigger than my first home :D
Would you consider creating a vid for owners of older tech (AMD 6000 and older, nVidia 3000 and older) with regards to the new drivers and the features stated in the release notes but I'm never sure are applicable to my GPU? It feels like they only exist for the latest HW and both AMD and nVidia are about to release new HW, making even the latest owners of GPUs last gen.
In this version of the drivers, there are issues with OBS, most likely related to the encoder. When starting a livestream on Twitch, the stream works for 1-2 minutes and then shows "Stream OFFLINE," even though OBS indicates that everything is fine and the stream is ongoing. There are also issues when recording video in OBS, with a 1-2 second black screen in the VLC player.
Testing as I am writing this, and after I see the recording, it is working fine here. 6700XT
@@AncientGameplays Strange (I reinstalled using DDU. It didn’t help. If I record video through Quick Sync or start a live stream, there are no issues. There are also no problems with the previous version of the drivers.
I'll be waiting for the new drivers; hopefully, the problem will be fixed.
@@AncientGameplays I tried to start a live stream on Twitch using another program - XSplit Broadcaster - and everything worked fine, no issues there. So it must be a problem with OBS.
I've seen the audio/video sync problem when using Topaz Video AI. Doesn't happen often though. I didn't know it was an Adrenalin problem. Glad it was fixed.
they finally fixed the issue where adrenalin would open every time i woke up my display
Ya, that was happening to me too😂. Fixed now.
i installed the update as soon as the download was up and my PC caught on fire........ because these drivers are soooooooo good. obrigado Portuguese jesus 🙏🙏
USED WITH CHILL LETS GOOOOO
Tried the AFMF2... Absolutely love it
I have been playing Frostpunk 2 and man, let me say it, it is a very good game.
did you play the first one?
@@aaaaaaaaau yeap, also very good :)
I can confirm that Frostpunk 1 is an amazing game. @@mcury85
the new background is refreshing i love it :D
Thank you, still a lot to do :D
There are light issues with these new drivers on The Crew Motorfest, but the rest works so good
What issues? Pls share.
Monster Hunter World now freezes the whole PC when loading in.
But changing to DirectX 11 rather than 12 in the main menu avoids the issue.
So far, that's the only issue I've found. I hope it gets fixed
@@zerotactix5739 lights not showing correctly
Oh a new driver update, without you i would have missed it thx 👍
And a little question, will we see a AFMF2 vs FSR3 Video in the Future?
As always great video and have a good weekend 😉👍
Fsr3 is better, always, because it is an in game implementation
Been using AFMF2 in Cyberpunk and it is better than the built in fsr frame gen that's actually in the game settings which is ridiculous, using AFMF2 at either native res or XESS 1.3 in ultra quality mode looks amazing for cyberpunk and I'm getting consistently around 120fps with high settings and ray traced reflections in Cyberpunk 2077 using a 6950xt
6800xt and about the same
What a quality content you have. I wish I could thumb up twice on your videos.
Honestly big W for amd this driver is really nice
Love your driver reviews, rock on choom
Timeout and crash on Warhammer 40K SM2 on RX-7900XT is definitely not fixed on this release. Alot of people are getting crash to desktops when playing operations mode.
Never played that mode, but definitely didn't crash yet
I also have had crashes with this driver in darktide
For WH40K SM2 on RX-7900XT need RN-RAD-WIN-24-20-11-01
@@TressTM a lot of us tried that too, same problem.
@@georgedaswani9155 Update all your drivers
Thanks for the great work you do for all of us !! 👍👍👍
Just downloaded the new driver and will update with some results
Good news from the ancient world! Thanks buddy.
Somebody send this man a starlink antenna!
Must tag Elon Musk haha
@@AncientGameplays Absolutely! Appreciate your content even in these tough times! 🙏
Really hope everything is on the up and up for everyone over there, have been praying. 🙏 It has been a tough few weeks.
I've been using 24.5.1 for months, maybe this is the time i update
Same here. I made the leap, and I’m not going back.
I switched to the new ones and so far they are very good.
I can finally use this on X4: Foundations. God awful FPS drops below 100 fps on stations are now a thing of the past with AFMF 2
I only update after Mr Pisco says it's okay 👍😅❤
Great work as always brother !!
Cant wait for driver revies from new garden
It will take some time as it is raining now haha
Thank you for another great video! Have a nice weekend!
my RX580 basically turns off when reaching 80° on every single game, not sure if its this version problem bc never happened before on the past version
Very good update, Chill and Afmf 2 works perfectly fine, I'm so happy that i can even use it on my 75hz monitor with 37fps cap and it still feels as smooth as 74fps with no noticeable input lag on my rx 7600, seems stable overall
Yup. New drivers are golden. Also if you remember that odd problem with Gigabyte Control Center i had, it's gone now. Two thumbs up for new AMD drivers.
You’re so lucky. I’m getting poor performance in random games. What settings is everyone using on the control panel? I’m wondering if sharpness is causing issues or something. I have had food performance since 24.5.1.
@@Rockovissi to begin with simple auto-undervolt on my 7900xt (1075mV). In gaming/Graphics settings i have only anti-lag enabled and i go from there on a per-game basis when i need any boost over game settings. When native ultra 1440 gives me way less than 100fps i first use fsr upscaling then fsr fg and see where we go from there.
It added what I wanted. color correction for preimum freesync pro when in HDR. Arrived the same day as my new XFX 7900 xt Merc
this driver for my rx 6800h is a god send for me i adore it so much now it has improved the framerate for me like crazy now. and one thing i feel like amd could do and i know it would take them a year or a few motnh's to release that driver to us but what if they focused really hard for let's say 3 4 month's adn fixed hundreds and hundreds of issues with every current cpu out here in this world and relase that driver to us?
Same, my 6900xt runs sweet now.
Nice review my friend God bless you from Philippines! 😁
Feels illegal to be here this early, anyways cheers Fabio and thanks to put in the work 🎉
Yes!!!! NO MORE STUTERS, I had to play some games in Windows mode to play, now everything is working.
5:57 that's Final Fantasy 16, the newest one
Been playing space marine 2 on mobile rx 6800s never had an issues, the performance upgrade really appreciate.
I see +2FPS on my RX580 2048SP (from aliexpress) on Horizon Forbidden West. How come?
Aliexpress is your answer
Thanks for the review!
So I updated to this driver on my AMD 7900xtx and the system had the audacity to say:
"There is a problem with your graphics card. Please ensure your card meets the minimum system requirements and that you have the latest drivers installed."
lol such a fresh update
What were you updating from? Beta drivers or whql?
Interesting. I'd open hwinfo or adrenaline performance tab and if it's not catching on fire already, I'd benchmark it and pay attention to your sensor; temps, clock speed, mem speed. Hopefully it's okay
Same card, no issue. Weird
Do a clean install of the drivers!! Uninstall your video drivers with DDU, mark the option to disable that Windows Update put their drivers, and after that, install these drivers and chipset drivers
do a clean driver install using ddu, sometimes conflicting drivers can cause issue.
for life matters, must listen to mom and dad. for AMD matters, must listen to Fabio. nice to see the 6700xt in the performance test..am still using this old boy.
I think im gonna stick with 24.5.1
So dear AMD, Yesterday I just completed GOw Ragnarok and you release the drivers today 😂 Classic AMD !
That weird intermittent flickering has gone away with the new drivers. Thought it was just me. (7800X3D and RX6700XT ( I know, old GPU, but the prices...).
old gpu? what a bad take to have, i have a rx 6800 and the word old is just ridiculous dude xD
