    You can actually see an "underslung" rail car on the rails during the 2018 E3 reveal trailer.

    It's frustrating really that we're having to wait and see whether or not any of this is even going to be completed and added in because I really feel like a lot of this stuff will be left as is to stay within their timetable of getting remaining bug fixes out and their planned DLC delivered. At some point they have to move on to their next project entirely and I fear that will be sooner than we think.

      as long as they implement mod tools it won't be a big deal. as long as the foundations are good

      They care about their community if not we'll boycott their next project until cyberpunk is done, also they promise to release multiplayer in 2023 or 2022 so they will update it for the next years so no worries

      The future of this game seems like it will rely on modders to finish what CDPR started

      @@rcnemesis7645 man seeing these comments now depresses me. It looks like CDPR will only release a mediocre expansion and move on. they've announced the cancellation of multi and they're dropping REDEngine soon after

    Man, I wish Cyberpunk had at least a few extra months of development. Just imagine how much of this cut content and such would actually have been in the game.

    • @quartermaster2809
      @quartermaster2809 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Not just a few months, at minimum 1 year and preferably 2 years more development would've helped.
      However they need to run as a company, the game would need a lot of funding to develop over a longer period of time

    I don't know if I should hold my breath, as they replied to questions about this allready back in 2018 that we would only be able to traverse NC on foot or by car or motorcycle. But you do get the feeling they are in fact working on this, and it would be awesome if they eventually will be able to implement the NCART system as a means of transportation and not just for fast travel! :)

      Doesn't matter since CDPR gives all DLCs as free and expansions as paid. I don't think they're brave enough to charge for train dlc 🤣

    Many areas im the upper levels look really nonsensical when you explore them using double jump etc. Stairs going nowhere, pipes just ending in mid-air, non-detailed upper floors etc. It feels all very much like the level designers did not take into account, that the fans will explore the game heavily.

    • @zeriel9148
      @zeriel9148 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well, they were telling the higher ups that they should release in 2022. Seems like the issue was the disconnect between management and devs. If they had meant to develop for 2 more years it makes sense.

    • @xn0gaming
      @xn0gaming 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @d R Well, after 930+ hours playtime , as in my case, you will have seen your share of odd stuff ingame. Some roofs don't even have collision detection etc. But its cool, I love stuff like this.

    • @TXFDA
      @TXFDA ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It honestly feels like they added a double jump and ability to climb, then just forgot about it.

    • @xn0gaming
      @xn0gaming ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TXFDA Indeed. I should really make a video about these odd places, which look like they have been haphazardly clipped into eachother. Its really weird, since even on lower levels you can see that they did not detail many accessible roofs that much. Its often just like blank canvas and some low-detail assets. You dont even need special leg-mods or something to get up there.

    Yesterday I discovered a metro station in north Downtown (I think) to have it's entrance in Megabuilding O9! Adding train traveling and give us full physical access to the stations and platforms would make for some nice exploration, I think! :)

    it seems as though the carriages that run the tracks aren't even correct. The other model shown at 7:53 is almost certainly the middle cars, as they can be seen in the 48 min gameplay running on the rails. The cars that run as they are in the released version are all "end" cars. The way they're shown in the 48 min gameplay as the intended monorail makes the art that CDPR released showing V in the subway, and the opening of the e3 trailer, make more sense as to what they were planning with the train system.

    That news feed on the NCART webbsite is really interesting! Especially as you can't read about the updates and soon available BD tours of...! :D It all feels like a tease for upcoming improvements and new content connected to the NCART system! I thnk there is slight reason to hope to one day be able to traverse the city even by subway! :)

    I LOVE night City but I agree there are some nutty design elements. some of the road ways have ZERO support and are just floating roadways for a disturbing distance. I just chalked it up SUPER DUPER FUTURE MATERIALS and moved on LOL :) They did much right in making it feel lived in. I'll forgive such nonsense. There are so many weird and interesting nooks and hidden weirdness that give the city so much personality. My only wish would be for the city to be even larger. They did a good job of the giving the illusion that NC was bigger than it is.

    Sad to say that the game is dead now. I mean sure modders are keeping it going and I dont think that single DLC is out yet but it seems like for all intent and purposes, the game that could have been is dead and we wont get anything else like what could have been for a long long long time.

      I would think a single train on a track is easier to manage than multiple vehicles on a highway that require AI interaction. But you need traffic in a city and that took priority I guess.

      tbf, the way traffic in this game works is that it literally is on rails. They've implemented a perfect train system already. Just not a traffic system.
