Nice I had a mopar 11 and they came with 3.91 gears and it felt much quicker than my neighbors 14 100th anniversary edition with the 3.07 I believe they used with the old 5 speeds.
It definently gets you moving off the line alot quicker..in my case I feel like I lost top in speed with the 3.09 differential. At 65 mph Im already in 8th gear.
I see you have a perfectly straight steering wheel also I paid extra for a steering wheel that is canted to the left so I can go around Nascar tracks faster
The tuning isn't necessary but it definitely wouldn't hurt. Im going to do some tests beforehand to see if there is any noticeable change when it isn't tuned. Soon!
You would be surprised. Most people online have bolted these on with no tunes and seen about the same gains as with a tune. Updating the tune would primarily be for what Joshua mentioned above.

Once you make this change without a tune you will see little too no change to performance compared to properly tuning. Tuning is essential to modding without it your wasting your time modding and can possibly hinder performance.
No, the Pedal Commander only changes how quickly your car reacts to pedal input, where as this changes the manner in which the car accelerates. The pedal commander has a pseudo effect that makes the car seem quicker, but in reality it is only sensitivity that has changed
I need to get my lsd in. I wont see any benefit from gearing as I have a super track pack with the 3.07. But I wont be doing anymore 1 wheel peels. Lol

I just bought one from Summit, but they won't have it listed for a 2023. Anything after 2016 have the same setup. 220mm axle with 2.62. The one I bought is for a 230mm, but it is compatible. Look up mopar dif 3.09 lsd. Mopar may not have much for the last year charger, but the one I got was for 2018 to 2021. However, no change from 2021 to 2023

Hey I just wanted to reply back and acknowledge that you were correct. Some of the models come with 3.08 gearing. Those ones are still open differentials though

Those gears are too short for the 8 speed. They make first gear pretty much useless. Given that these cars already lack a top-end I didn't want to go with too-short of gearing
The reason I went for 3.09 is mainly because these cars are already super aggressive off of the line. Being that I plan on doing more power adders in the future, launching is going to get progressively harder, and shorter gears will only make it worse. I felt that the 3.09s were a nice middle-ground
I have an SXT w 2.62. I've been doing a lot of research to upgrading the 3.09. It seems like I dont need to change my 195mm axles or driveshaft. Do you know if this is true, and where di you get the diff. I was getting mine thru speedlogix from october and they delayed it until February
I’m not sure bro, those are about 4.5 centimeters shorter than the SRT axles. I’m not sure if they’ll work. However, if you’re able to tell me what the part number on your stock diff is I can see if it matches mine
The 195 mm is the ring gear size but the axles ARE different. The 195 axles will not fit into the 230 mm ring gear. The R/T has a 220 mm ring gear and its axle will work in the 230 mm rear. You'll need axles from an R/T. Do not get SRT axles as the hub bearings will need to be changed too.

@@JayMac95 Nothing special just regular R/T axles. Double check the hub bearings are the same from the V6 car to the R/T as I'm not 100% sure if they are. But I do know the 230's axles use a different hub bearing then the 220 axles. The 220 axles do fit and work perfectly fine in the 230 diff. So us R/T guys can just swap the diff and it's a straight bolt in swap no need to change the drive shaft or axles. I researched this for about a year and was one of the first with a 2015+ R/T to do this swap. Mine is a 2016, I also got my diff new from Mopar, it was around $1500 but is a worthy mod! The RPM difference and MPG's are hardly any different at all. With the 2.62 (or whatever it is) diff I'd top out around 170 - 177mph with the 3.09 diff it's done at 160 - 165mph.

Between you and Him i have all the information I need to get the stuff I want done. Keep the vids coming. I’m pretty cautions with lowering springs because I don’t want to mess up my suspension geometry, but I’ve been looking at the eibach pro kit because it’s a pretty moderate drop.

No. LSD sends torque to the wheel with traction, whereas the open diff applies equal power. LSD literally stands for "limited slip." I should have clarified

The 3.06 came in the 5speeds. It is what i have on my magnum rt. I got it from an srt mag
What was your rpm like when driving 75 mph on the highway
Taller the gear the faster it will accelerate you'll loose a bit of top end.. these have 8 speeds I'm surprised people aren't running 3.73 as common

The first 20-100 miles are where you definitely want to go easy. Im not an expert on gearing, however I would change my oil in it just in case.

3.09 is a direct bolt on to the RT axles you don’t have to change it

trust me dude get a 3.55 or 3.73 gear unless you are going for top end speed which im sure you are not get 3.73 and if you feeling froggy get a 4.10
