@@RTLife It runs good but combine that with a tune like I did with my S550 it causes issues with major high revs from 2000-3000prpm on a cold start that can last for 20-40 seconds!
I finally bit down and bought this mod after all this time of hearing you talk about it like a very convincing salesman. I spent a pretty penny for kooks long tubes, full Borla S-type, and a Dyno tune after using Diablo tunes for over a year. After all the money spent I honestly believe the pedal commander should have been my second mod after my CAI. Only had it three days and I feel like an idiot for not buying it 2yrs ago and a little kid on Christmas trying to explain how cool it is.

That was awesome his smile and yours when his head snapped back priceless. Car definitely sounds mean as as hell and the 5" tips look great, I just did 4" on mine and past the bumper like yours looks great and really stopped the drone you can tell the sound is going out the rear of the car now.
All that the pedal commander does is open your throttle body faster than not having it on. When you have it off... You can push on the better slow or stomp on it; however, it still has a delay opening the throttle body all the way open. With the commander there is no delay so that's why it throws you back in your seat. You could add horsepower by getting a 84mm throttle body adding more horsepower

I love the pedal commander, I'm getting 20 mpg with city +4 and I have not changed my driving habits whatsoever, even though I don't really care about mpg.
I totally agree about the price guys. Its a bit steep for basically a button that opens your throttle body in different ways. But the smile it puts on my face is priceless :)
Correct me if im wrong. But the research ive done shows that theres no real improvement to acceleration numbers. 0-60 and such. It's essentially just opening your throttle body further with less pedal. Essentially its a device telling your car to floor it with out actually flooring it. Wide open throttle is wide open throttle with or without the pedal commander.
Have you tried in its sport mode where you do the manual shifts? I'm wondering what the throttle response is like if you are already rolling in high gear at like 4-5k then punching it. Does the Pedal Commander make a difference in that pull? Or does it just delay the LAG from the lower RPM range?
My 2017 Hellcat Challenger build is finally complete (pretty extensive), and tuning takes place starting next week. I did grab a pedal commander over the holidays because they offered a $50 off sale. Was planning on getting one eventually, but everyone likes a discount.
I don’t have a PC in my car but I do have a 9-Drive electronic throttle controller and I was not expecting what I saw in videos. I’m driving an 05 Subaru Legacy GT which is turbocharged with AWD and it is fun as hell. I can’t do any burnouts do to the AWD but it’s still fun as hell, I knew absolutely nothing about this, I just ordered it for the hell of it and I have 0 regrets.
But does it really make a faster dig time and does it increase time. Need some 0to 60 test to see if it is worth buying. Also does it have an adverse effects on the motor or drive train. 1 gentleman noted that it causes cold start revs to be 3k is this true.
Man, I wanna get one cuz I really hate the lag. I just got a skip shift delete plug, have you done something for the skip shift? Just in case, it's the shift that goes into 4th gear when you're riding at low speeds. The Diablo tuner doesn't cure that or at least I haven't seen it in their settings. I have to install it this weekend, I'll tell you how it goes. But yeah man, I can't rationalize the pedal commander at $300. Like you said $100-$150.

I would say what makes it worth more is if you actually think about the fact that you can tune it to how you want to drive with different settings, it could be just on and off but you get the different options just my opinion
Im currently on a grind and im lookong at a 2016 charger rt with blacktop package and sunroof in granite. Looks very mean. I want to get the police rear valence with the matte black 5" tips and the scatpack resonators with mini rqce bullets and a muffler delete. What do ya think?
@@RTLife that's the goal. A dark grey hemi sounding like a bad machine with big black tips on the back. And i also want to get the scatpack hood for heat control. Because in Houston, heat and humidity lives here and these hemis hate what they create a big amount of - heat.
There's a whole different side to this device that, to me, makes it worth $300. I primarily use my PC in ECO mode because I use my Challenger as both a daily driver and my work vehicle. It saves me so much on gas.
I've been thinking about this mod for nearly 2 years myself. I 1st went with the tazer and am happy with that device. I understand this lil guy boosts the signal for the throttle so there isn't lag from what I've read..i know if I slightly tap the gas while cruising, the 8 speed with down shift 2 gears and you can smash..if i just floor it it seems to have a delay before acceleration..does the commander eliminate the need to tap the gas?
I would still tap the gas for some downshifting action if you're racing but for casual fun purposes no you don't need to. This thing will throw you in the back of the seat.

Fully agree with the warranty people wanting no trace of a ECU reflash . Also agree with a maxed out build looking for something a little extra . Tried to get Pedal Commander to sponsor me as I have an Electric Chevy that has 400ftlbs of torque and a competitor throttle controller actually works on an EV . I have both internal combustion and a electric cars that I modify and wanted to spread word that it works so well on an EV with a one speed single gear reduction transmission it’s too fun .
My dad passed away a few weeks ago on November 1st, and he left me his pride and joy. It's a 2012 Challenger RT Classic with the 5.7 I have watched several of your videos to learn what's the best mods on a budget. I don't want to go really crazy with it just looking for 50 to 75 more HP to the wheels. He did a K&n air filter with resno delete and 40 series flow masters. It sounds really good. I am wanting to delete the cats, shorty headets, cai (just for eye candy), oil catch can, pedal commander, and when all done a final custom tune. Maybe a larger throttle body. Any advice on what you think is a waste of money will be greatly appreciated. You also got a new sub as well, really enjoy your videos and how well and honest you are with your content. I just want to carry on with his dream but with a family of 5 money is tight. Thanks again for your videos!

One thing nice abiut the PC is that it takes away the delay and lag of the pedal.. it doesn't do anything to the horsepower but it does give you full pedal power.. almost like you have a cable pedal!
I just ordered mine and I watched some of your videos. I was just wondering, on this video you were changing the mode while the car is running? Isn’t that going to thro codes? I thought you had to be on a dead stop, then change the modes. Am I wrong?
the pedal commander can be adjusted on the fly, i have two bd diesel throttle sensitivity boosters that can only be adjusted if you dont have your foot on the accelerator at the same time, otherwise it interferes with the current signal going to the computer. that is why i will tell everyone that the pedal commander is the product to purchase. of all the enhancements it is the best in my experience.
Even during pandemic lock-down and laid off from work, .....I have to take my Charger Srt8 out once every evening just because of the Pedal Commander hooked up to it. It turns what was once ordinary driving into EUPHORIC BLASTOMATIC DRIVING!! It's pretty ridiculous! Honestly, it's hard to add ANY performance mod for less than $300 at professional shop if you include labor. So for that reason, I think it was a good purchase, ....because you can plug it in yourself at no additional cost. Contrarily, adding a performance Throttle Body with labor, will set you back $600+, and you may not even feel a difference. So I'm just wondering what performance mods this hater was planning on purchasing for less than $300??? I spent $1800 on my exhaust, and it sounds better, but the performance it adds is harder to locate. There is NO DENYING the instant power you feel with the Pedal Commander. It may not actualy add HP, but it puts all your car's HP down at the instant touch of your foot. Amazing.

Awesome video. I can't wait to get my optima turbo one. I got a jet performance one for my non turbo focus se and it hauls. I always drive in track mode. Haha
It is absolutely night and day. I put one on my fully built Ram. By built I mean literally everything you can do except a supercharger or nitrous. On Sport 1 it is extremely responsive. I could hardly drive it without snapping my head back at every stop and go. Its now on City +2 so my wife isnt constantly yelling at me.
The reason automakers put torque management in their vehicles is for warranty reasons. Instant power can often lead to broken parts which leads to costly warranty work.
Next week I am taking my car in and getting a 392 porter intake manifold, ported 85MM Throttlebody, Leggmaker CAI, and Stainless works long tube headers put on. Oh and a 160° thermostat!

hahaha, we were having tacos - that was likely the spilled lettuce off of it. The pedal commander can be easily removed, so before going to the dealer just unplug it. This should not have an impact on your warranty

It's not just the BIG 5.7's I had one on my 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus 3.6 Pentastar and man what a blast just got my first NEW truck 2019 Dodge Ram and I already ordered my Pedal Commander :)

I agree for the money their are better better things to do. but for someone who knows nothing about moding or has a car on lease or rental this works great. its also good for people who know little who do a lot of hiway travel long distance and want to save on gas.
I live my PC but yesterday YT recommended I watch a video about the Sprint Booster. It has two settings and 9 levels per setting. I don't know if you or anyone watching KNOWS the actual difference but I have to assume 27 overall levels (Eco doesn't count) is better than 18 to dial it in to your specific liking

Now reverse parallel park without onlookers thinking you have Huntington's disease. I spent the money, and took the horrible thing off, it sits on a shelf where it can do no harm. They look tacky and trashy ,delay when useing normal amount of revs is still there . If you go around stomping your gas pedal like a cretin maybe it's a product for you. As for any refinement in throttle control , perhaps you miss cable operated, forget it.
I put a Pedal commander on my R/T shaker after watching your video on it and I love it. The first time i used it i turned it all the way up and i scared myself when I launched it😄. It's even crazier in Super track pack mode. I even got one for my '06 5.7 RAM, and it's crazy too. Thanks to your recommendation there are a few more GT and SS guys pissed off in MD🤘🤘
The throttle response on SRT8 are pretty good, so I really don't see the need for it and have enough problems getting traction as it is. If I were to ever do one, I would go for a new one that I seen yesterday called the Roar over the PC any day and has great reviews for half the price at $160. I would be better off getting drag radials, and am looking at MT for my Challenger right now along with 17x10" racestar wheels to replace the 22s that are currently on it

Sadly.., my pedal commander messed up on me... in eco mode on a trip it caused a fault that locked my ride in 8th... I had to pull off and turn off ride, turn it off and left it off. The bad part is my wife was there! Lol, crap.... before that it also was tripping my hood switch alarm... i still use it because it is pure shameful dodge didn’t make this R/T move like it should when you push the pedal. So be aware... it does cause issues.
Try reinstalling it again with the key fob 30' away. Don't use the app at all. Damn man sorry to hear that. I think the new generation of pedal commanders have become an issue.
R/T Life I installed it with fob no place near.... it is the newer I was told.. but I did have WiFi in when it messed up, deleted as soon as we pulled over! Lol thanks for the vids! It helps a lot! Take care!

Don't buy this for performance purposes - you will be very disappointed in my opinion.
NONE of these devices give you hp it ONLY takes the pedal lag out

I would still tap the gas for some downshifting action if you're racing but for casual fun purposes no you don't need to. This thing will throw you in the back of the seat.

Fully agree with the warranty people wanting no trace of a ECU reflash . Also agree with a maxed out build looking for something a little extra . Tried to get Pedal Commander to sponsor me as I have an Electric Chevy that has 400ftlbs of torque and a competitor throttle controller actually works on an EV . I have both internal combustion and a electric cars that I modify and wanted to spread word that it works so well on an EV with a one speed single gear reduction transmission it’s too fun .

My dad passed away a few weeks ago on November 1st, and he left me his pride and joy. It's a 2012 Challenger RT Classic with the 5.7 I have watched several of your videos to learn what's the best mods on a budget. I don't want to go really crazy with it just looking for 50 to 75 more HP to the wheels. He did a K&n air filter with resno delete and 40 series flow masters. It sounds really good. I am wanting to delete the cats, shorty headets, cai (just for eye candy), oil catch can, pedal commander, and when all done a final custom tune. Maybe a larger throttle body. Any advice on what you think is a waste of money will be greatly appreciated. You also got a new sub as well, really enjoy your videos and how well and honest you are with your content. I just want to carry on with his dream but with a family of 5 money is tight. Thanks again for your videos!

Depends on how you drive. The pedal commander will over write any throttle response in your tune while in use.
One thing nice abiut the PC is that it takes away the delay and lag of the pedal.. it doesn't do anything to the horsepower but it does give you full pedal power.. almost like you have a cable pedal!
I just ordered mine and I watched some of your videos. I was just wondering, on this video you were changing the mode while the car is running? Isn’t that going to thro codes? I thought you had to be on a dead stop, then change the modes. Am I wrong?
I normally wait for a complete stop to change modes. That's the right way to do it
the pedal commander can be adjusted on the fly, i have two bd diesel throttle sensitivity boosters that can only be adjusted if you dont have your foot on the accelerator at the same time, otherwise it interferes with the current signal going to the computer. that is why i will tell everyone that the pedal commander is the product to purchase. of all the enhancements it is the best in my experience.
Even during pandemic lock-down and laid off from work, .....I have to take my Charger Srt8 out once every evening just because of the Pedal Commander hooked up to it. It turns what was once ordinary driving into EUPHORIC BLASTOMATIC DRIVING!! It's pretty ridiculous! Honestly, it's hard to add ANY performance mod for less than $300 at professional shop if you include labor. So for that reason, I think it was a good purchase, ....because you can plug it in yourself at no additional cost. Contrarily, adding a performance Throttle Body with labor, will set you back $600+, and you may not even feel a difference. So I'm just wondering what performance mods this hater was planning on purchasing for less than $300??? I spent $1800 on my exhaust, and it sounds better, but the performance it adds is harder to locate. There is NO DENYING the instant power you feel with the Pedal Commander. It may not actualy add HP, but it puts all your car's HP down at the instant touch of your foot. Amazing.

It is absolutely night and day. I put one on my fully built Ram. By built I mean literally everything you can do except a supercharger or nitrous. On Sport 1 it is extremely responsive. I could hardly drive it without snapping my head back at every stop and go. Its now on City +2 so my wife isnt constantly yelling at me.
It’s crazy how much torque the rt has and if the pedal commander adds to that it’s a plus that’s pretty cool

The reason automakers put torque management in their vehicles is for warranty reasons. Instant power can often lead to broken parts which leads to costly warranty work.
Plus it would seriously hurt the EPA mileage numbers.
Next week I am taking my car in and getting a 392 porter intake manifold, ported 85MM Throttlebody, Leggmaker CAI, and Stainless works long tube headers put on. Oh and a 160° thermostat!

hahaha, we were having tacos - that was likely the spilled lettuce off of it. The pedal commander can be easily removed, so before going to the dealer just unplug it. This should not have an impact on your warranty

I live my PC but yesterday YT recommended I watch a video about the Sprint Booster. It has two settings and 9 levels per setting. I don't know if you or anyone watching KNOWS the actual difference but I have to assume 27 overall levels (Eco doesn't count) is better than 18 to dial it in to your specific liking
I would imagine they're both very very similar - would be fun though to test it out. The more settings, the better.

No - all it does it overwrite the throttle sensitivity portion based on what setting you have it on

They look tacky and trashy ,delay when useing normal amount of revs is still there . If you go around stomping your gas pedal like a cretin maybe it's a product for you.
As for any refinement in throttle control , perhaps you miss cable operated, forget it.
Its worth $300 for an SXT V6 Challenger on the Custom exhaust with ram air. Its the only thing to do that makes you feel like you have a HEMI.
I put a Pedal commander on my R/T shaker after watching your video on it and I love it. The first time i used it i turned it all the way up and i scared myself when I launched it😄. It's even crazier in Super track pack mode. I even got one for my '06 5.7 RAM, and it's crazy too. Thanks to your recommendation there are a few more GT and SS guys pissed off in MD🤘🤘

The throttle response on SRT8 are pretty good, so I really don't see the need for it and have enough problems getting traction as it is. If I were to ever do one, I would go for a new one that I seen yesterday called the Roar over the PC any day and has great reviews for half the price at $160. I would be better off getting drag radials, and am looking at MT for my Challenger right now along with 17x10" racestar wheels to replace the 22s that are currently on it

Sadly.., my pedal commander messed up on me... in eco mode on a trip it caused a fault that locked my ride in 8th... I had to pull off and turn off ride, turn it off and left it off. The bad part is my wife was there! Lol, crap.... before that it also was tripping my hood switch alarm... i still use it because it is pure shameful dodge didn’t make this R/T move like it should when you push the pedal. So be aware... it does cause issues.
Try reinstalling it again with the key fob 30' away. Don't use the app at all. Damn man sorry to hear that. I think the new generation of pedal commanders have become an issue.
R/T Life I installed it with fob no place near.... it is the newer I was told.. but I did have WiFi in when it messed up, deleted as soon as we pulled over! Lol thanks for the vids! It helps a lot! Take care!
