you asked if anybody would notice the pill box. you would i'm sure. great again Tony. there was a pill box at the bottom of our street, 1955, then we moved. there were lots around. and great for kids. it used to take a long time before places were pulled down. Thanks again Tony.
Hi Kevin. you are probably right as the trains would have to slow down for the bend, leading into the station. i am guessing the ones in the towns became eye saws and hence many were pulled. but there are many of them still around. all the best my friend. Tony

Pillar box, what pillar box I can't see a pillar box (lol). Love the coverage on the pillar box Tony, it brings back memories as a young lad playing on the local hills (in and around the Dover Heights) and making a `base` in a pillar box and then getting told off by mum when I got home clothes covered in grass and mud, happy days. I've started a small scrapyard diorama on an old tumble dryer top and really enjoying making it and filming my progress but a layout is a proper step up and all you guys that have built one have my total admiration!

Brilliant touch of scenery there Tony, especially the ivy and moss on the pill box.... i had an idea pop up in my head whilst watching you do it... Why not do a bit of ivy growing up a tree trunk... ive seen this in numerous places where ivy has grown up trees and even telegraph poles in places where shrubbery grows alongside railway infrastructure..

Again another masterpiece Tony. I just watched the windows going in the station, they look so good when all fixed. I did notice later that the bricky's and chippy's had gone but I spotted them going into the NORTH EASTERN for a jar or two ha ha ha ha. The pill box and tree scene's are just brilliant . I certainly would miss it passing in the train. Once again another superb piece of work. All the very best Duncan. PS. If you watch the news one of my Granddaughter's Natalie has been picked to go to Antartica to help run the post office and gift shop for 5 months. Too cold for me ha ha ha ha.

The pill box I remember in the churchyard at my home town, Tony, in the 6o's was absolutely covered in ivy. So you've got that one about right. Great little interlude in a boring Saturday evening. Thanks Tony.

The church was on the main road into the small town . There was one also in the church yard on the road going out too ( I'd forgotten about that one!) Stay safe Tony.

It's the smallest detail that makes such a huge difference , and adds to the overall effect perhaps a bit of rubbish near the pillbox, turning it into a real neglected area

Just like the real thing Tony. An A for camouflage! Great scene you’ve got there. The tiny green triangle on the opposite side of the track draws the eyes splendidly into the the illusion behind the bridge, with the forked road and the forced perspective. Curious to see what kind of rail crossing you will install here. Given the amount of tracks to cross, plus the weight of regular traffic, this crossing may require some patience from the little people who cross it. Cheerio

unless kept clear you dont see bare concrete on the roof leaf mulch forms soil seeds get blown in after just 10 years youd have a 20 foot buddleia growing out of the top hearts tongue fern as well
