Happy New Year Tony. Great video of the crewmen hut. What a fitting end to the Tyne Dock project and 2024. Time to go up to the loft to open the calendar. Cheers for now. Roy.
Hi Tony. Not only the fantastic station and your excellent canopy but the hut as well, loved the way you did the chimney. When I was on the trains our crew Room was horrible white tiles and a hot water geezer with hard plastic chairs, your crew room is luxurious.😄 The crewman about to enter the cabin has he a tea can in his hand? That was our most important bit of equipment.😅 Thing is Tony your a one man modeller and you have surpassed what a lot of big clubs can do with a lot of heads and money put into them. Think a lot of them would love to have you on board.😊 Thanks Tony really enjoyed the video. Have a fabulous new year to you and yours 🍾🍾 Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete and Su....
Hello Peter & Su. I guess nothing is too good for the north eastern loco crews. or i could be very byast. happy new year and all the very best for 2025. cheer's for now Tony & Laura.
What a wonderful little building Tony, such character. I could almost hear one of the crew, snoring there by the fire. Great job finishing Tyne Dock - looks spot on in the background behind South Shields. We’re all looking forward to 2025 at The North Eastern. I’ll bet Stan, Jack and the clippies are looking forward to their new bus depot. I can imagine Arthur saying “Flippin’ ‘eck mate, it must be for your bus - it’s late”
Absolutely fantastic as usual Tony. Thank you so much for your vidoes. They really are an inspiration to us all. What a brilliant year of content. I just love to watch your videos with a pint and cigar !! Keep up the good work and here's to another year of excellence. Well done mate. All the very best to you and Mrs T. Simon. 😊
You are very welcome Simon. thank you for commenting its always been a great pleasure to share my exploits in the world of model railways. thanks again for commenting as they always encourage me to continue. many thanks again. Tony.
Late to the party. We enjoyed the entire Tyne Dock Station rebuild. Your detail reminds me of what I did on my railway layout in my early 20s , fifty years ago. We will be following you along in 2025. Looking forward to the bus depot. Congrats, for 10 years on YT in August. I turn 72 years then. August also marks me being a pensioner for 7 years. You are so right about Dylington Junction. It just popped up on my YT railway videos. Been a subscriber there for a very month. You all need to check them out! Our best to you and Laura. Bill and Janet from California
Hello Bill & Janet. thank you for your wonderful thoughts and comments throughout 2024. and most all a happy new to you both. all the best Tony & Laura.
Tony, it is we who should be thanking you profusely for the sheer delight and entertainment of watching your craftmanship bringing the layout to life. 10 years of keeping ( and increasing) viewership is no small achievement. Many good wishes for all good things for 2025 for you and your good lady. Now, mate, two small things regarding Tyne Dock; is there no station clock, and what about the fire buckets? Apologies for carping. Arthur
Happy new year Arthur. ah yes the fire buckets they are now bolted to the Gents wall. and the station clock is above the ticket office counter as you will see in the next video. all the very best and a happy new year Tony.
Happy New Year Tony and Mrs T Blue and White was South Shields colours as well for bus shelters , Life boat display Thanks for all your inspiration and commitment for 2024 thanks to you i add bits and pieces to Metcalfe kits and who knows what 2025 will bring!!! I need to start my model railway and finish my house here in Thailand I am coming over to the UK in 2025 so wii go to some railway exhibitions and stuff all the best from me Tyne Dock looks great so on to Chichester
Good morning James. i do apologise for the every late reply. that the thing with Metcalfe kits they are adaptable. Many thanks again for all your support. happy new year. all the best Tony.
Good morning and a Happy New Year from us both Tony and Laura. A very fitting end to 2024. Well the crew can party and retire on time for NY’s day, well done - a neat, cosy and quick build! I wonder if the original station was built to a timescale and if so how they fared in meeting the completion date? You captured the scene and its compactness really well, worth shuffling the lamppost ….It’s all in the detail. Many thanks for all the tips and ideas, has been a pleasure following you. Just working on designing a mimic control for most of my ground signals - parts on order today! All the best and enjoy the day and rest (?) Stephen, ps temps going low -25deg with windchill …. depths of winter here we come.
A really great addition to the platform Tony. The whole station and all the details are so realistic. Wonderful achievement. Onward and upwards!!!! I'm looking forward to all your new developments. Happy New Year. Bye for now.
Your motivation Tony is the inspiration us subscribers long for. Well done on completing Tyne Dock and it is a credit to you, full of ideas and tips so many thanks. The loco crews hut was the icing on the cake (and I love cake lol). Its been a great pleasure to follow your channel through 2024 and can't wait to see what 2025 brings. On a personal note my knee is getting better, support bandage off, had first physio session and able to walk indoors on one crutch, I am determine to get my left fixed as soon as possible because I have Christmas presents that need assembling and I can only do that once I am up in my loft. So I would like to wish you (Tony) your family and all your subscribers a very very Happy New Year, cheers Barry.🥂🍻🍾🎆
Looks absolutely fantastic, Tony that hut just looks the part, looking forward to the new Bus station and roads around it, all the best for the new year to you and your family.
The leaning lamppost of Tyne Dock and another fine building by the Master of Scratch Buildings, Mr. Tony North Eastern. Happy New Year Tony and Family. Martin. (Thailand)
Happy new year Tony. Love the new building, a few little tips from my memory, firstly always called a crew mess, from naval days, many terms were adopted, you had a duty or a turn not a shift. Anyway, in the mess there would have been a standing sloped desk with route maps on it, a black wall mounted phone above it and drivers notices. Always a sink. Lots of chairs or benches. Usually one outside for nice weather days. And most important a wall clock! Hope that helps.
Brilliant a Crews mess sounds a lot better than a crew mans hut. i was also thinking of clocking in and out machine. Many thanks for commenting and a happy new year to you. all the best Tony.
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN your most welcome. Clocking on was in a ledger rather than any machine, the Unions would not have stood for a machine as these are highly skilled men.
Awesome, thank you! James. that is great i really hope you can achieve great things if you decide to take up some scratch building of your own...take care my friend. Tony.
Although that end of the platform looks a bit tight, the original photo shows the buildings to be very close to each other. So you've got it spot on! All the best Tony and Mrs T. Have a great new year. George.
Again Tony. Another great build Sir. Wishing You and Your good Lady Laura a Happy New Year. Hoping we will meet again at some point, take good care for now. Best Regards Alan in the loft in Dover :o)
Tony North Eastern, the Paul Daniels of scratch building,Yes ,your spot on T,that’s definitely a top ten contender.the scale is absolutely perfect,it just sits perfectly, looking forward to 2025 and lots more builds. On the busses next, gotta have a Blakey lol.Happy and healthy new year to you both 🎉
Good evening David. Paul Daniels. wow i have not been likened to Mr Magic before. it will be added to the 2026 calendar. happy new year my friend. cheer's for now Tony & Laura.
I dare say Grace has made Sid some corn beef sandwiches with Branston pickles and fully wrapped them up in greaseproof paper. Mrs Harrington recently took the children Christmas Shopping and they had to change trains at Tyne Dock. Jonathon was excited about getting a Mecano Set, and a fountain pen, and Susan needed a new pencil case. She will be taking the Eleven Plus next May, and like Jonathon will hopefully be able to attend grammar school. But according to the Daily Mail, let's hope let's hope those Teddy Boys, loitering about the station, and smoking woodbines, are not causing trouble. I am sure the Crewmen will welcome a rest hut. Perhaps Sid can offer them some of his sandwiches unless his dog has eaten them?
HNY Tony, Tyne Dock is looking absolutely fantastic, it must be extremely gratifying to see all of your hard work coming together. For us watching it is superb!
Hello Ross, That's the thing we never know how these things turn out when we start these projects. once that they are finished and then i do tend to look back and see what i could have done differently. but this time i think its looks just how imagined. many thanks again for sticking with us throughout this build. stay safe my friend. Tony.
Thank you Onno. its been a pleasure sharing this project with you. many thanks for all your support year on year you must be a true T.N.E. Veteran....cheer's Tony.
Thanks for the New Year build Tony, another great addition to Tyne Dock Station. Happy New Year to you and yours Tony, plus all the subscribers of Tony North Eastern.
Great video Tony. That hut looked superb. As usual, the attention to detail is something else. Thank you for sharing. May i wish you and the Missus a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2025.

Cracking job Tony, it looks really good. Your attention to detail is amazing. So glad the crew have somewhere to shelter when between trains, though you do seem to keep them pretty busy in the Newhastle area. Thank you for all your hard work and good humour this year and I wish you and the family a happy and busy 2025, good luck.

Hornby took you for nearly £1,000! lol It does look really great, I have to admit, not jealous at all (LNER not my subject). The Station looks great (as usual), keep up the great work and have a good New year bud
Hello my friend. the Hush Hush i all already had from a couple of year's back. but yes money you can not it with you. take care and i hope to catch up with at some point. cheer's for now Tony.
Hi Tony, great modelling all round. How did you establish the overall dimensions of the building? Did you guesstimate the size of the boards and bricks and go from there? Are all your lights connected to one power source? You must have made an allowance for the fold in the brick paper to ensure they lined up in the centre. We sailed from LA to Miami via the Panama Canal and it was quite the experience. Was given a pack of 200 figures having a scale of 1:75 so a great fit and will allow me to populate the station and high st and coaches. Have a great New Year. All the best
Happy new year Charlie. the chimney was easy as the bricks made for the height of the building. all the rest just fell into place after looking at the photo's all the best my friend Tony.
Happy New Year Tony. Great video of the crewmen hut. What a fitting end to the Tyne Dock project and 2024. Time to go up to the loft to open the calendar. Cheers for now. Roy.

Lovely work on the hut Tony. You are so right when you say that the viewers comments encourage us to keep going as we do them. Happy New Year, and will look forward to what is next on your layout.
A double comment John. thanks again my friend. cheer's for now. Double push just what i needed....Love it, Tony.

Happy new year! Steve. looking forward to what comes 2025 already all the best Tony.
Morning Tony
Happy New year 2025
