My favorite in the video was the souffle. Its something, i would of over looked with all the other cool looking deserts. After you guys cut into it, i was like omg. Thanks
We normally go with the Cronut when we do Dominique Ansel, but then we realized, “We kinda already featured it in a segment of the Caesars Palace video, so that gave us the opportunity to try something new. And we were certainly glad we did. Between, their Cronut and Perfect Little Egg sandwich, it’s so difficult to branch off and try something different. But while that wasn’t a typical “soufflé” it was AMAZING for what it is. I know their items are often on rotation, but if you see that Soufflé, it’s a Must Try. Thanks for watching and we are glad you enjoyed ❤️ -Paul
A well-executed souffle is hands down the best dessert on the planet. The problem is finding the ones that are well executed without having to eat a bunch of bad souffle first. Looks like James and Paul certainly found a good one.
@@blastblast4627 I will say, if you find yourself in The Eiffel Tower restaurant, they have a mind blowing pistachio soufflé. We have the cookbook, I’ve been meaning to make it at home, but still haven’t got around to it. - James

My favorite flavor. Theirs is really good. And again their sandwiches are amazing. You guys rock!! Still waiting for another steakhouse where you cut in the middle of a NY strip and eat inside out. The best!! Hope to run into you both one day. I want to TY in person for making me so happy with your videos. Be well
Another great video. A taste test by guys that know how to cook or bake is like gold, since you understand the skill involved. The lines at Dominique Ansel scare us, but now we’ll give it a try.
I bake macarons, cakes and a whole bunch of other stuff at home, so while we were doing this video I definitely had a bit of knowledge with Macarons (which is also kinda why even though expensive at $18 for the big one and two small ones together with how much effort goes into making them, I was a bit more forgiving on the price). Especially when the process of making a Macaron is very technical and precise, too much mix, it’s bad. Too little mix, it’s bad. Wrong temperature. It’s bad. So much can go wrong with the baking process that I am definitely forgiving on the price if it’s a perfectly baked Macaron. In fact, that’s probably also why I give Dominique Ansel a pass on the price. $10 for the Cronut or $13.99 for the desserts is a lot, but… the amount of labor and effort to make a dessert with all those layers… It’s mind blowing and something a lot of people do not understand when it comes to baked goods. If you do make it back to Caesars Palace Dominique Ansel is worth it. And he’s also taking over one of the pastry shops currently at The Paris so you’ll soon have access to the Cronut at both Caesars Palace and The Paris 🎉🎉🎉. Even if there’s a line… it’s worth it. -Paul
@@JamesandPaulTryitAll I’m glad Paris will finally get a decent bakery! We also cook, so I wholeheartedly agree on paying extra for a highly technical dish or dessert, especially one we can’t get locally (like sfogliatella). When I see people paying $15 for a stale donut slathered in buttercream, it just makes me sad.
Finally!!! Been waiting for a sweet treats video. I’ve been scared to try Carlo’s after those bad vending machine cakes but sounds like those u tried are better. Gotta check those out. ❤ you did a great job describing the dessert at Dominque ansels. Gonna try for sure. I also love hersheys world and all their stuff. Again another great video. ❤❤❤🎉
Yes… Do not get those Vending machine cakes. We tried them once (the rainbow cake) and they were just bad. But this Tiramisu slice was so much better. @JamesandPaulTryitAll that city is beautiful. The food is outstanding and each neighborhood is so unique. If you visit, don't skip Golden Gate Park and the Presidio. They were quite delicious. And your husband’s wallet may not be happy, but you will be. In fairness, compared to a lot of the prices on the strip, some of these treats and desserts are in line with the usual strip markup, but also some of them take a lot of skill and execution to get right so for what you are ordering, the prices are generally pretty fair. I highly recommend Dominique Ansel, they have never disappointed me. This video was our third time having them. -Paul
