    I couldn’t be more grateful to you both for your Saturday videos. I have been having a REALLY rough week, and when I woke up today and my husband said, “babe we have our new James and Paul today!” When I tell you that sentence got me up and moving, I mean it. So thank you, thank you, thank you, both of you ❤️
    On a lighter note, I’ve always wanted to try Korean BBQ and this place sounds like it’s right up our alley! Our dining list for our March trip is getting a little aggressive at this point 🤣🤣

      Oh believe me that it’s been a rough week for so many people so we can definitely relate. Whether it’s just current events or just real life things, we hope that this video did brighten up your day.
      If you have not done Korean BBQ yet, you totally should.
      Kimchi Korean BBQ is definitely a bit more on the traditional side, but if you are newer to KBBQ, we also suggest trying Gen Korean BBQ House at Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops which is also AYCE and a bit simpler for a first timer (mostly because there is only one price and not A,B,C tiers like more traditional AYCE places). While we haven’t done Gen in Vegas we do have a Gen at home in AZ and it’s one of our go to places when we want KBBQ.
      But Kimchi is also a great option and it’s 24 hours so it’s perfect for late night dining.
      Thanks for watching and we hope that you’ll enjoy your first KBBQ experience whenever you do it ❤️

      @@JamesandPaulTryitAll OMG thank you for the Gen recommendation, we are staying at the Elara connected to the Miracle Mile shops, so that is beyond convenient for us!! Y’all are the best, I hope we run into you next time 🥹

    I'm half joking when I ask if you need to sign a waiver when you go there in case you get burns. :) Debbie an I pass this place all the time but never thought of going in. I'll have to have her watch this to see if she's interested, it does look good.

      I did not expect the flames on the grills here to pop like they did. Most places we have gone for Korean BBQ will usually have less of an “eruption”, but I can only say, be careful with the grills.
      While it’s not the best Korean BBQ we have had it’s still a fun option for a late night food run.

    What a find! We’ll check it out on our next trip. Late-night grilled meat is my favorite snack. BTW excellent, excellent job with the metal chopsticks. I can barely manage them and I’m Japanese.

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Metal chopsticks are better than the plastic ones but you are right that they are still trickier. I know why they don’t use bamboo chopsticks as those are single use but I totally prefer bamboo over metal or plastic. Our local dim sum restaurant does plastic and it’s so difficult to use on anything that isn’t a shu mai, bun, or dumpling.
      And yes, this place is in that strip mall across from Resorts World by Tacos El Gordo and it’s a great late night option. Is it the best, absolutely not (and we mentioned that in the video), but it’s something different.

    So cool that you cook the meat yourself. Very unique. I've been to a Korean BBQ before, but didn't have the a cook grill on the table.
    All you can eat for that price and food options seems like a good deal.
    Cool there is a sushi robot! I like Eel!
    I haven't had squid before. Seems super chewy just by looking at it. Don't want the suctions on the tentacles to get stuck when eating.

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Half of the fun is in the cooking at the table, but for $59/person for the premium option, it’s not too bad of a deal, but in all honesty most people can be fine with the 2nd tier at $49/person.
      As for squid, it is a bit chewier and if you are not into that it can be a little off putting but its worth a try if you see it on a menu. I am more a fan of the Spicy baby Octopus (and they shrivel up when you cook them on the grill) but they did not have it on their menu here.
      Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoyed.

    Hey guys! I'm glad that this ended up being a pretty good experience. I was a little worried after James' reaction to the ribeye. Ri Ra Irish Pub and anything at NY NY is definitely more my jam. If I was with you guys or other Korean BBQ fans, I would give it a shot. Thanks and see you tomorrow 😊

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We actually caught that ourselves. I enjoyed the rib eye, but we didn’t exactly have a lot of great footage due to trying to film while cooking. The next time we do something like this, I think we’ll be more on our A-game.
      Thanks as always!

      I can say with certainty that there are better Korean BBQ restaurants in Vegas, but with Kimchi being located on the strip and open 24/7, I highly recommend it not only for the tasty food, but the convenience factor as well.

    Great video. You guys always give such good options to try. I have been going to Vegas since the early 90’s and have never been to 1/2 the places you have shown in the past year. To be honest, I was getting bored with the same thing every time we went. Now my excitement has returned because I have so many new options! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

    I'm loving this review guys! Love Korean food as well. We thought Paul was the chef so we were laughing when he said he was afraid of fire. (Sorry...) You must be the baker? Anywho ... they are cheap with their ban❤❤chan. We've been where they bring out twelve dishes... so good. We also LOVE your foodie shirts. Keep up the good work, guys! ❤

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh I am one of the chefs (We both cook and bake… but I still hate fire) - I have always grown up with electric stovetops so I do avoid a lot of direct fire when cooking but I will also say that other KBBQ places we have been either in LA or at home in Phoenix the grills were definitely not as prone to flames as the ones here. The grills here did seem to cook items a lot faster than other places we have been and that’s likely due to a bit more visible flame.
      As for the Banchan, they did bring out the 4 items we showed as a standard, but they do also have a whole portion of the AYCE menu with sides that you can order or request.
      We did not show those additional sides on video as admittedly we had been eating all day and wanted to save room to show off as many of the main grill items for the sake of the video. But they do have an assortment of 8 other Banchan items that you can request off the standard AYCE menu. With about 6 to 7 more per tier also offered on the B and C tiers.
      As we said at the end, is it the best we have had? Absolutely not.
      But it was a fun option on the strip for KBBQ open at all hours, and something different than Tacos El Gordo which is literally in that same mini strip mall.
      Thanks for watching and for the comment ❤️

      The bulgogi is a classic (and standard). Korean BBQ is a lot of fun and I am glad that this is an option North Strip.
      If you are south strip, I mentioned this in another comment but there is also a location of Gen (the same Gen we have in Tempe), and that one is located at the Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood.
      Thanks for watching ❤️

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll

      They have 3 different AYCE options at different price points and SO Many options.
      For us, when we do KBBQ at any place that offers different tiers for their AYCE menus we always recommend going with the premium option if it’s within your budget as it offers the most options. Sometimes we even ask the server to just bring out stuff from each tier as we go and just let the server bring out a random assortment of items.
      But if you are newer to KBBQ and this style of dining, option A or B is never a bad idea as most places will always have Bulgogi and at least one type of pork belly and the standards on the first two tiers.
      Thanks for watching and the comment ❤️
      -Paul

    • @CanadianSlotCouple

      @ there’s always something on each tier that we want lol, but sometimes we just stick with the basic or middle option to keep costs down. But hearing that bulgogi and the pork belly is on the lower tiers is music to my ears 😄
