Great video! I was a huge fan of the video game, so I’ve been looking into this board game. Your videos make it seem so simple-thank you for this tutorial playthrough!
This is the excellent playthrough! Indeed helped me a lot with my newly bought set. I already love this game; unique, sensitive, complex and immerse you to its story from the moment you set the board. You did have a miss or two, but as authors say, it does not impact the story development nor the experience of the play. I just don't get people who played this game and complain that the rules are not clear, or that the game is depressive, so they don't think the game is good. The game is a masterpiece, but I guess, art is not understood by everyone. Thanks for the great review!

Good video, just a few remarks which were not named before: 15:30 You missed to roll the die for the noise 39:00 After Katia was injured by the snipers, the snipers-card had to be removed (no further rolls were neccessary) 48:30 It's adequate to roll the die once and compare this result with the empathy of each character - so it was possible to lower the Hunger of Arica after your first roll
Thanks for making this series. I only wished you’d take a min more to read the rules when you encountered something new. I’ve haven’t played this yet, but just a quick look at the rules around 53:00 I could see that you skipped Combat Scripts (law paragraph symbol on yellow dice), people with firearms always attack first and the … symbol on the red dice means he was Out of Ammo. I get that it’s hard to get everything right when you are new to a game, but for me, the quality of the playthrough really depends on the player’s ability to actually follow the rules. Other than tha, good work 👍🏻

When Katia gets hit by the snipers, I believe the sniper card is supposed to instantly go away. I dont think you were supposed to roll for Arica. Could be wrong though.

When you are resolving Spirit B, is it done simultaneously? Can you use the guitar twice that turn? Thanks for the gameplay, one of the best on YT so far 👍.

Would the first day be the best time to find another person to.join? U need food and water and scavenging need to carry back items. That been said, thanks for the playthrough, i really enjoyed it and itbl helps alot that you play it so clearly

Thank you for catching that bandage mistake. I have added it to the notes in the klingon subtitles. I always appreciate when people make positive contributions. :) Rest assured that I have read all of the FAQ's in the journal several times. While I appreciate what the designers were trying to do with the yearbook (walk-through style of learning the game) it can certainly make it difficult for people trying to learn and teach the game. One issue that I know I have had while playing this particular game is simply not knowing that I don't know a specific rule. The presentation of the rules are very simple (and arguably, the gameplay is quote simple) but the details are certainly involved.... Which is why I appreciate people pointing specific rules and time stamps as you have done. Thanks again for helping make the board game community a positive and welcoming one where we help each other out and root for each other's success.
Completely missed that space labelled outside when we lost characters. We got so locked into the book and running through the different portions of the day instead. I think your production values are first rate. You are easy to listen to and follow. You don't suffer from AP. So it's a good experience.. However I'd like to see you practice a game more before making a video so you aren't saying things like I don't know what this means, and you aren't doing things incorrectly. The whole point of someone watching your video is to learn how to properly play the game.
Well, heck, I’ve played it 5 times now and I still miss so much stuff.... so I get it! Once again, kind of a cool “learn as you play” game and rule book, but there are definitely a lot of downfalls to it as well....

At 10:00 you could have made the heater for next round? Better than the wood being stolen in a night raid and youre short anyway?
Great point! There are TONS of things I could have done better.... That's certainly one of them.
You could have used a resourcefulness for the new fitting, metal workshop. This means more wood for heating.
