As someone who grew up watching Kobe, I can tell you that there are other plays out there that should be on this list.

Toronto was trash when Kobe scored 81, but a couple of weeks before that he scored 62 against Dallas and sat out the whole 4th quarter. Kobe had 62 and the Mavs had 61 after 3 quarters, and that Dallas team went to the Finals that season.
He outscored the whole mavs by end of the 3rd quarter.....THAT IMO IS BIGGER THAN 100 BY WILT

I started watching the lakers (and the NBA in general) in Magic's third season (1981/'82)...I watched all that stuff...the rivalry between Lakers and Celtics, Magic and Bird...the rise of "The Bad Boys" of the Detroit Pistons at the end of the decade......(make no mistake about it, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird saved the league and made it what it is today)........as a Lakers fan, I suffered through the breakup of Magic's "Showtime" Lakers into the early 1990s and watched them struggle in the following years with a few really good players and a few highlights......and was there for the arrival of Shaq in 1996, immediately followed by Kobe!
I watched Kobe's entire career, and I can tell that he was something special!

Truth is, he improved on Jordan's style by adding difficulty and 3pts difficulty. ...and Kobe did it without carrying and traveling/walking for which Jordan was allowed to do. You can dismiss my comment all you want, but it is truth.
This is in no way Kobe's Top 40 definitive list. I have seen much more from Kobe from a difficulty standpoint.
