  • Nova and I went out for a beautiful spring woodland walk today. Sadly my other dog, Bolt had to have a major surgery this week so he won't be joining us for a while. He is doing fine, he needed to have some fragments of bone removed from his elbow that had broken loose in both forelegs.
The forest we walk in (Hawley Wood in Farnborough) is stunning at the moment as there is a lot of wild rhododendron and right now it's in full bloom. I hope I have captured a sense of how beautiful it is.
I'm still getting to grips with my Nikon Zf, trying different settings to see what works best, this is on a flat profile in 10 bit, It's a fantastic bit of kit and I'm hoping I can learn to get the best out of it.

It is beautiful in Spring, all these purple flowers are an invasive species, and there are masses of them locally.

Good luck to Bolt DD. You might investigate giving him Melatonin in the evening to help him settle; we find this helps with our even-by-Collie-standards bonkers Collie :-)

I had not heard of that, might have to look into it. He is a Pomsky and a complete nutcase. Taking it easy isn't in his nature.
