Jeez,I was only a baby when this song was released, but when it popped up on Facebook a coupla nights ago I knew every word!!Maybe from watching British TV-especially "Heartbeat"-cause my parents never played any cool music, just crappy old 50s stuff.😢 WAY COOL!!😂❤
The stomping effect was enhanced by having the members of the group stamp their feet on the wooden stairs to the studio. The sound was recorded with five microphones fixed to the banisters with bicycle clips.
Was listening to radio one, someone at work had it playing, what crap, this is MUSIC, feel sorry for kids today, when they will look back to what they had.
I can hardly manage to look away from Honey Lantree. I was beguilled from the first. My favourite drummer of the '60s. Just listen to that stomping houseshaker.
Honey Lantree , eine tolle Frau mit Ausstrahlung. Und mit geschmackvollem Outfit ohne Effekthascherei. Findet man unter der heutigen Jugend fast gar nicht mehr. RIP , Honey!
This is still so fresh. It was a promotion, made before the song became a hit. They were new and you can tell how happy and eager they were and all so young. I don't think anyone was older than 20, 21.
Takes me back to my teenage years what 😳 happen one minute I was 16 and now 72 .sill love this song. I listen to it most days dums and getters are the best I have ever heard 👂
Since I found this I have watched it at least a dozen times. Great production values in this extended version. I would think all the Honeycombs would really enjoy this as much as they look like they are enjoying making it. Nicely done Stephen.
I’ll keep saying it as long as I take a breath in my heart my ears this what music 🎶 was I could listen to all this music 🎶 every day at least you can understand the words and the music 🎶 was absolutely amazing I believe I was born to late I was one year old when this song 🎶 came out 1963 but I love ❤️ this song 🎶 if time travel was possible I would go back and stay in the 60’s the Magical time as with songs these days you need some on to translate the songs lol 😜 but I love TH-cam as you can revisit over and over these magical songs thank you for sharing
Met the colonel too who supported Joe meek as a financier. , when I was a taxi driver , helped him. , travel between places , he. Told me how the beginning of the hit Telstar came about with the feedback intro. All by accident , so they kept it in the recording ,
In a Swedish appearance video of THE HONEYCOMBS, I noticed that the rhythm guitar player seemed to be different "left handed" guy. Can anyone tell me if he was replaced? Maybe tell me who the two guitarist were? Thanks!
I remember them well , another group at the time which was novel too was the Applejacks. The searchers were brilliant then. , remember those days. , seeing the searchers one day at surprise concert for children. , at Romford odeon. Cinema. ,went to see a Saturday film. Got the group instead. The manager came out said film cancelled but got a show for you all ,, those were the days , I. Sang later in my life. Doing all the old songs. Until I became disabled , but. That's life. , love the old songs. Met this guys daughter too , years later when I was singing , the lead singer of the honeycombs , strange co incidence. And met many people in the industry. , fantastic era of Joe meek a visionary. Met the tornadoes too , years ago when they is ed to rehearse in collier row. At one grandmothers bungalow , lovely days. , Telstar tornadoes. , Billy fury. Etc. ,
still a classic. Fairly STOMPS along......

60 years ago it did.
The stomping effect was enhanced by having the members of the group stamp their feet on the wooden stairs to the studio. The sound was recorded with five microphones fixed to the banisters with bicycle clips.
Tomcat3360.I always thought the stomping made this a Dave Clarke 5 song.
@@simoncarlile1965 amazing. I just put my Dave Clark Five’s Greatest Hits LP, which I bought in May 1967, on the turntable! I agree
@@tomcat3360 👍❤️
@@simoncarlile1965 10 songs, about 2 minutes each, and perfection.
Was listening to radio one, someone at work had it playing, what crap, this is MUSIC, feel sorry for kids today, when they will look back to what they had.
This song put the 'swing' into the 60s😊
The sexy drummer and the guy playing guitar right next to her are the most entertaining part of this!
The facial expressions on the drummer...wow
2024 and still as fresh as a daisy.
Honey Lantry of the Honeycombs , amazing. RIP beautiful. A real drummer a beauty and just amazing.. big hugs.

Ernie Douglas is having a good time!!
Love the sound and look of those English made Burns guitars!
Imagine how they would have sounded if they had plugged them in.
If there was ever a great 'get up and dance' song in the mid-1960's, this was it.
Sitting in Maderia Portugal what a song with fond memories
They don’t make classics like this anymore
They are having the times of their lives god bless 'em!
That was a great flawless edited remix of an already great song that I just came across today!
At the time she was the novelty at being the first British female drummer of a group
Singer and drummer are brother and sister , how cool is that !
I believe it's the bass player & the drummer
@@ervin6 Okay , thanks, and is the guy singing a trick film ? is he the bass player too? pretty good for 1964
@@markchaplin4816 No, The Bass player is the guy second from the left. What is a trick film?
Singer and drummer not brother and sister
No one related

@@ervin6 Stephen, I must commend you on your excellent work on these remixes/extensions ... simply magnificent! Well done sir!
@@M_Lev___ Thank You for watching!🙂
They dress smarter than all the politicians we have now , and sing better !
They all would have made better politicians singing to crowds. All clean cut and good looking members too.
Suits are boring.
very true point

Honey really made waves with this song just so cool still!
I love this beautiful song. Perfect example of music, and the enjoyment it gives us. Perfection ❤
I used to be a dj and i always played this kind of music i always got them dancing to the buffet 😊

Der mit der Aschenbecher-Brille kommt cool.
Grinsekatze, geht richtig mit, hat seine Freude.
classic song sad that this great music is lost to so many young people--lol the one band member looks like Ernie from My 3 Son☺s
Hey you’re right!
Catchy Tune with a Fantastic Drummer.Would give Dave Clark a run for his Money?
The one with the glasses looks like Austin Powers!
Bet he had a Commodore 64.
Austin Powers looks more like Peter Asher from Peter and Gordon.
Wow, I just entered a time warp, and I'm loving it! Thanks for the experience 👍
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant!
😊
I like you guys clapping 👏 hands, and stepping on the floor, the tambourine sounds especially ❤ 😮 😊 ❤ !

The lead singer looks more like an actor or a young business man I really love to hear him sing this song ❤
He does resemble the late Christopher Reeve in the face.
I thought he had a young Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet) thing going on!!
The lead guitarist - very Jim Dale (of Carry On fame) look
brilliant
Tune honeycombs Joe meek and Co come rite back💯👏👏👏👏👏
You might notice a family resemblance between the bass player and the drummer. They're brother and sister.

With Austin Powers on rhythm, a Thunderbird puppet on bass, and the same director that ABBA used on Mumma Mia.

Interesting lap dissolve from b&w > colour [??!!]
this film's video part is "POP GEAR (1964 or 1965)" from BBC...maybe.
I always wondered what happened to Ernie Douglas from My Three Son's.
lol I thought the same thing! 🤣
Amazing
Such a cool guy
First female drummer
They never appeared on the Beat Club music programme
