Much congratulations for the YT milestone. Well done. It's sweet that you did a giveaway to celebrate it. Glad you enjoyed the holiday with the whole family. The plus size vintage patterns from the 40's & 50's are starting to arrive from the ebay. I'll be starting with the dress pattern that's slightly too big for me and then taking things down from there. No idea if this will be any easier than doing full bust adjustments, but we'll see. It's been too long since I got things together to sew, time to change that. I will admit to a bit of a case of nerves with dealing with 80 year old patterns, most of which have never been used. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
When I was little my mom would make me really floofy dresses and she would put a stiffer netting just on the bottom, similar to what you’ve done on your dress. I never liked the scratchiness so she would put a layer of softer chiffon (or similar) behind it. Could be worth trying so you can keep wearing your beautiful dress in comfort!
