The Governor’s need to step up and work with these citizens, all construction being build is only for the wealthy or those that can afford them. The Low income and retirees on a fixed income have no where to go!!!! There is NO affordable housing being build. And this is nation wide!!!! Not everyone that is homeless is so by choice nor are they drug addicts.

I have two crackheads living literally on the back of my property directly on the property line. I have to listen to them fighting over crack every day with their foul mouths, illegal burning during fire season in the brush and the smell of their bodily waste since I'm down window while I tend my garden. Unless the fire catches my tree line on fire and endangers my home there is nothing I can do. Our town is full of these people and they've been getting away with it for years. I understand the homelessness but have no respect for the drug addicts since they have no respect for me or my property.

I have a person who has lived in a homemade shelter about 500 yds from my property. He's been there without air conditioning or heat, without potable water for almost 4 years. From the day that he knew me, he has watched my land. He calls me anytime he sees something wrong on the land. This year, I made him and a friend of his caretakers of the land. Your comments about the crackheads made me think of the options available if they just choose to improve themselves.

Letting drug addicts waste away in tents next to the road is anything but compassionate. But why aren’t most in shelters? Because shelters don’t allow drug use. People that aren’t on drugs are able to get the help they need. It’s not a homeless crisis, it’s a drug crisis.

The solution to this issue has always been Affordable Housing. Everyone should be able to afford a place of their own based on their individual income without needing to apply and wait on a 10 year waiting list. The Supreme Court had the power to fix this issue by mandating that all unrented space be available to low income and homeless individuals based on a set percentage of their income that they would need to pay themselves. Everyone would be able to afford an apartment if they did that but instead they decided to initiate Civil War.

They told me that I can find some other place to live. I was told each year they are going to raise my rent. What I don't understand is how are they receiving funding from large corporations not to mention the government and do this to people? Grants Pass homeless camping law wasn't abusive, they allow homeless to camp in designated parks but they must move to a new park every week, this distinction means they are camping and the park is NOT their home. If sleeping on public property is a right cuz homeless people has no where to sleep, then is stealing for food a right cuz hungry people has no food eat? What a stupid argument.
The homeless advocates should house the homeless in their own home if they care for the homeless people so much. The homeless issue will disappear if all the homeless advocates out there adopt one and house them in their own home. Taxpayers deserve to enjoy the public area that their tax dollars paid for without putting up with the filthy & dangerous conditions caused by homeless encampments.
Instead, the homeless advocates just take the grant monies from the gov to pretend like they care about homeless people while laughing all the way to the bank. Homeless advocates just want more homeless people because they profit from them. These homeless advocates are only crying now cuz their revenue stream might become smaller after this ruling. We have lots of shelter spaces that the homeless refuses to sleep in then go around & complains that they don't get help, this ruling should address this problem.

Like the size of a city. Heavily militarized with our wild military budget. These states would collect money from other states to take on their homeless prisoners. Let's stop people from taking drugs. That is ONE of the major causes of homelessness. We should reduce investing in foreign countries also. Let's bring back manufacturing capabilities to our own country. In this way, we will create more jobs. Unions are bad for us because they tend to jack up the wages and reduce the efficiency of the labor by overprotecting the bad workers. As a result, it drives many manufacturers out of this country. They moved their facilities to overseas. That cuts the number of jobs in this country. Just take a look at Detroit. It was a vibrant town with lots of manufacturers. Now many of these facilities are empty. Let the demand and supply work out in the labor market.

Listen Mrs Reagan, prohibition didn't work the first time. Also, most homeless are elderly and disabled now, not drug abusers.

It is a Government Program to support Gangs and Cartels. Federal Drug Prohibition means addicts can't be treated with drugs. Support of the Black Market is 80% of the homeless problem.

Actually the cause is Republicans. The Republican War On Drugs. Federal Drug Prohibition means addicts can't be treated with drugs. Support of the Black Market is 80% of the homeless problem. Republicans LOVE persecuting addicts, because according to the Government, unlike normal God fearing citizens, addicts brought it on themselves by taking drugs without government permission. If only they had listened to the Government. Dr. Lonny Shavelson in his book "Heroin" said that 70% of female heroin addicts had been sexually abused in childhood. We are persecuting abused children.

That is correct. Some people get their sh!t together and put honest effort into moving forward with their lives. The people that dont are the problem.

@@brianspang848 Nobody brings up that without their "government jobs" that they simulate anyway, our government tapeworms who set their own wages would be homeless themselves.. they help themselves first, and the dregs go to the tax slaves...
